Tokidoki Unicorno Blindboxes

I was so excited to get my first ever tokidoki blindboxes! If you saw my latest kawaii & geeky wishlist, you'd have spotted that the first item on there was a unicorno :) I've been wanting to collect these for such a long time and I've been kind of obsessed with watching unboxing videos on youtube of these beauties and other tokidoki characters. I was really happy when I recently discovered a UK store that sold them; Collect and Display sell a few other blindboxes so if you're interested, check them out here. I decided to choose the Series 4 Unicorno blindboxes because I liked most of the unicornos available in this series. 

How gorgeous are these unicorns!? *heart eyed emoji* I have so many favourites! I love how some of the unicornos' designs are based on other tokidoki characters from different collections. Cornetto resembles the Donutella characters & Cremino resembles the Moofia ones. I think that's awesome! The ones I like the most are Yuma, Cremino, Sirena & Cornetto. You can get any of these unicorns at random, but Kingsley and Elettrico are 'chasers' meaning they are more difficult to find! So... without further ado, here are the unicorns I got!

Yayy! I was so happy that I got one of my absolute favourite unicornos in my first blindbox. Go me! I think it's fantastic that there's a mermaidy unicorn in this series. I love the detail that goes into the design of these vinyl figures. All the colours and the little additions...I mean look how pretty her shell and pearl necklace are! Does anyone else love the feel of vinyl figures? I love the smooth matte 'texture' of the paint. This post is about to get pic heavy because I want to give you all a better look at these pretty ponies! 

Sometimes, there are little mistakes on the figures. I've seen this in quite a few of the youtube videos I've watched; someone even got one without an eye painted on! As you can see, my mermaid unicorn has a bent horn! haha but I don't know, I'm just really glad that I got her. I like how there's a different pattern on each side of her, and how the tail is a different colour to the body. Next, blindbox number 2....

.... I got Can Can! She's fantastic, so bright & colourful. The feathers on her head are an awesome addition, and I love the bunting pattern on her body. Another really pretty unicorno... I can't believe how nice they are! I like the shiny gold paint on her horn and star. One thing I personally dislike about this unicorno is the grey colour used for her body. It's a little dull looking. 

On this unicorno, the patterns are the same on both sides of the body, but I love how each of her hooves are a different colour. The red stars on her ears are cute, and the blue used for her hair is one of my favourite colours! I noticed a small mistake on Can Can too. She has a white smudge on one of her eyes. It's a little annoying to have mistakes on both my new unicornos, but it's not put me off wanting to complete the whole collection.

 Overall, I'm very happy with both of my unicorno vinyl figures. They are lovely, with lots of awesome details and I can't wait to have a little army of them to decorate my bedroom. I even love the boxes, they are so pretty and include a little story on the back , 'The Unicornos were once simple little ponies that were out trotting and wandered into a magic waterfall. Passing through the waterfall, the ponies transformed into unicorns and found a hidden magical kingdom. The Unicornos live between the magic kingdom and our world'.... so sweet ♥

Tsum Tsum Update

Today, I thought I'd do a little update on my tsum tsum collection. I am well and truly obsessed with these adorable little squishy plushies. I have always been a big fan of Disney movies and a lover of all things kawaii, so they are perfect for me... how could I possibly resist? I now have 57 in my collection because I can't stop buying them! I also have lots of tsum tsum stationary and I've even downloaded the game on my phone. Who else loves them? 

 I'm starting to run out of space to store my ever-growing collection! One of the many downsides to sharing a bedroom is not having enough room for all of my things and after experiencing what it's like to have my own room at university for the first time in my life, it's now even more stressful not having space for everything, but at least it's helping me improve my organising and storage skills! So until I think of a new way to display my tsum tsums, they all get piled on top of these plastic storage drawers, which clumsy old me is always knocking into on my way in and out of my bedroom causing loads of tsum tsums to scatter all over the floor! I'm interested in how everyone else is storing theirs... let me know in the comments :) 

I was inspired to write this post because I've just added five new tsum tsums to my collection. Earlier this month, the Lion King collection was released containing nine gorgeous plushies. The Lion King has always been my favourite Disney movie since I was a child so I was over the moon when I learnt that they were making these tsum tsums. Unfortunately thanks to anxiety and depression, I had a gloomy start to the month and I completely forgot when the release date was! >.< By the time I remembered, some of the Lion King tsum tsums had been sold out online but I quickly snapped up the five that were available. It's a shame that I don't live near a Disney store so I can't search for them in-store. Anyhow, here are the adorable characters I got... 

 THEY ARE SOOOO CUTE! I love the fur details on all of them and I really appreciate all the little details that goes into the design of each tsum tsum. I got Simba, Zazu, Timon, Pumba & Rafiki. Not long after pulling open the packaging and investigating each plushie, I started reenacting the songs from the Lion King movie with them! I had a lot of fun singing the 'When I was a young warthog!' part of Hakuna Matata! My mum and sister thought it was hilarious :) 

The Rafiki tsum tsum is my favourite of all the ones I bought. I love the colours used for him, especially the grey of his body and 'mane'... speaking of his 'mane', it's lovely! It's so soft and looks great. But the most adorable part of him is his little blue baboon butt! haha I really wish I could have gotten the Scar tsum tsum, but I'm still really happy to have all these characters. I'm hoping Disney bring out a collection for Lion King 2... I'd love a little Kiara & Kovu to add to my collection! Do you have any of the Lion King tsum tsums?

International Plush Animal Lover's Day

I don't usually post on a Wednesday but today is International Plush Animal Lover's Day so I just had to share with you all my love of Amuse plushies ♥ Amuse is a Japanese company that make many things, including adorable plushies with their most well known probably being Alpacasso. I have always collected plushies (or teddies as we mostly call them in the UK). I remember having a massive collection of TY beanie babies when I was little and because I was so interested in animals, everytime I saw a teddy of a new species, I wanted it. My passion for teddy animals has not changed, if not it's grown because of all the kawaii plushies that are available online. I first noticed Alpacasso's on tumblr, and how I have lots of products by Amuse. This post is going to be very photo heavy! 

 If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen this photograph of my favourite Amuse plushie. This alpacasso was the first amuse item I bought and yellow is one of my favourite colours, so this is why it's my favourite. I named 'her' Lemony. Who else names their plushies? 

 This is the second alpacasso plushie I bought, because how I resist purchasing a giant rainbow alpaca!? Alpacas are one of my favourite animals, and the mixture of bright & pastel colours are just gorgeous! I named this alpacasso 'Sherbet' because 'he' reminded me the rainbow dust straws that I used to eat when I was little, which was sherbet. 

 This is the only medium-sized alpacasso in my collection. How adorable does he look with his little spotty scarf & earmuffs? It's from a winter themed set, and I bought him this year at MCM Manchester Comic Con. I was determined to come home with a blue alpacasso, so I did! I named him Icegem, inspired by the McVities snacks 'Iced Gems'. 

 Are you starting to think I'm slightly obsessed with alpacasso's yet? If so, you'd be right! I love them! I also purchased these two cuties at comic con this year. It was like paradise for me there, filled with so many stalls selling kawaii Japanese & Korean plushies. These two small alpacasso's are from the Makiba Kids collection and Makiba translates as 'prairie' but they remind me of the traditional outfits of Switzerland. I've named the blue one Hansel and the pink one Heidi. I love the detail of their ribbons with the cute mini bells!

This is the final alpacasso in my Amuse plush collection and is the last one I bought. I got her from the super kawaii UK store Tofu Cute. She is from the Goodnight collection and is wearing an old fashioned night cap. She's a mini-sized  keychain, and I've named her violet after Parma Voilet sweets because of her pretty lavender colour. 

The next few plushies in this post are some of the other awesome 'characters' designed by Amuse. This giant ball of adorableness is from the Coroham Coron series and is a hamster! He's my second favourite Amuse plushie because he is soooo squishy and soft, and I use him as a pillow! He was another comic con purchase and I am so glad I went back to the stall before we left to get him. I found out that this hamster is called Coron, but at the moment, I just call him Ham-Ham. Does anyone else a Coroham Coron plush?

This is another plushie from the Coroham Coron collection, and he's a mini keychain. He reminds me so much of a Syrian hamster I had when I was younger. I want to put him on one of my bags but I don't want him to get dirty or ruined. I checked online and found out his name is 'Purin' which means pudding in Japanese. I think this name is adorable and so I'll keep it as that. 

Ignore the state of my backpack, it needs a good wash! I bought this adorable little bunny keychain in my first ever order from Tofu Cute, and it's from the Pote Usa Loppy bunny series. It's tiny and cute, and I immediately put it on my backpack as soon as I got it! Below is another Pote Usa Loppy plush that I bought at comic con. It is really really soft and feels like the fur of a Rex rabbit. 

 I just had to take a photo of the label because those bunnies are incredibly kawaii! I hope you all enjoyed this post dedicated to Amuse plushies! They are such lovely, well-made plushies and there are so many animals available, ranging from otters, to fennec foxes, to sheep! There's something for everyone and I highly recommend them for any teddy lover!
