Filofax Saturdays

If you've been following my Filofax Friday's posts, you'll have probably noticed that I didn't post one yesterday. The reason behind this was that the things I'd ordered for my planner hadn't arrived yet for me to show you all. Oops! Thankfully, everything arrived this morning! So I've quickly snapped some photos and decided that I'd do a one-off Filofax Saturdays post instead :) Enjoy!

I was so happy when I finally found the perfect dividers for my filofax! They were just what I'd been looking for, and were really pretty. I purchased them from the etsy store My Pretty Week which has the option to mix 'n' match any four designs from throughout the shop to create a perfect set to match your planner. There's an option for whether you'd like your dividers to be one-sided or double-sided. I chose four double-sided dividers for £9 and I bought an add-on so they'd be laminated, which works out at £1 per divider. I think this was a great price because I'll use the dividers for a long time and they are really good quality. I just want to say, I love how the dividers were packaged; I really appreciate pretty packaging and I also really like paper bags. I always keep any of the pretty ones that I get in shops or from online orders, is that weird? :) So, here are my dividers...

They are so bright and gorgeous! I can't wait to get them set up in my filofax. There's an option on the order listing for whether you would like your tabs on the side or the top of your dividers, and I opted for the side. I've decided that tab 1 is going to be for montly calendars, tab 2 is going to be for weekly calendars, tab 3 for to do lists and tab 4 for expenses and other important bits & pieces, such as dates to remember and pet care notes for my rabbits and my lizard. I am very happy with these dividers and now that's one more thing ticked off my filofax check list. 

My next order is from Cloudy Cow, an online shop run by one of my favourite youtubers MyGreenCow. I absolutely love her planner and stationary-related videos and I've been watching them for ages! I'm happy that I finally had the chance to buy some things from her store. One of the things that wasn't on my checklist but I was looking for was a nice magnetic bookmark to hold some of the loose pages together and to make my planner nice and neat. How adorable are these totoro bookmarks!? Although Princess Mononoke & Howl's Moving Castle are my favourite Studio Ghibli movies, Totoro and his two little friends, Chu-totoro & Chibi-totoro are my favourite characters! ♥ These bookmarks will match the colour-scheme of my planner, too. This was another lovely packaged order! 

 

As well as the magnetic bookmark, I also ordered some more washi tape for my filofax. The green/blue and white pattern because it fits in with my theme, and the bunting one because I've seen lots of people use this in their planners and I think it looks fantastic! All the items I ordered were £1.80 each and you get lots of tape on each roll. I'll definitely be ordering more washi tape from Cloudy Cow :) 

 The other day, I was rummaging through my sticker collection to find something to decorate the birthday package I was sending to my friend and I found these shiba inu page markers that I purchased from Tofu Cute last year in preparation for getting my planner. They are so cute and I'm glad I found them again. I also found my adorable tiny puppy stickers which will be perfect to use in my filofax. I also have some very similar ones, which are little cats and I think they were from Clintons. All I need now to complete my filofax check list is a dashboard. I'm looking for a cute animal themed one, so if anyone can recommend any online stores, please let me know in the comments.

Filofax Fridays #2

It's time for my second Filofax Friday :) I hope you all enjoyed last week's post (find it here). Sorry if you were all waiting for my baking-themed post... I had a bit of a baking disaster this afternoon! I followed the recipe to a T but the food colouring I was using just wasn't taking to the batter :( I'm going to have another go tomorrow using gel food colouring rather than liquid and will hopefully have a batch of yummy baked goods to show you all how to make. Fingers crossed haha

Today's post is going to quite pic heavy, and I'll be showing you all more things that I've bought or been given as presents in preparation for using my planner. I was supposed to be getting some lovley dividers for my filofax this week, however my bank had other ideas! I had an annoying problem with my card >.< because I had made quite a few transcations to other countries, my bank thought there might be a problem and decided to block my card! Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? Thankfully, it's all been sorted now but I had to order my dividers late. They should be here to show you all by next week :) 

One of the items on my filofax checklist was some sticky notes so whenever my family asked me what I wanted for my birthday and Christmas, these were one of the things I asked for. My mum has gotten me some amazing sticky note sets and I can't wait to start using them in my planner. How adorable are these kawaii fruit sticky notes and tabs? They are the perfect size to fit neatly on my diary sections. They are from The Works.

Here are some more adorable food-themed sticky notes I got for my birthday. I think they were from WHSmith. They will be great to stick to my flyleaf (which in planners is a clear plastic sheet that many people use as sort of a page marker and cover it with sticky notes and little reminders). This little set came with 200+ super cute stickers, too!

 I absolutely adore these pretty teacup & flower sticky notes and tabs! They are just gorgeous, which makes me almost want to never use them!I just love fancy teacups. I can't wait to find a way to incorporate them into my planner. These were also from The Works. We love The Works! 

On my recent Tsum Tsum update post, I mentioned that I had some of the stationary. Wilkinsons released a range of tsum tsum stationary and as soon as I heard about it, I needed to get my hands on some. My awesome mum got me all of the stationary for Christmas and I am so happy. These will definitely be being used as soon as I start writing in my planner. Which is your favourite tab? Mine is the Daisy Duck one :) 

 I ticked off another item on my filofax checklist today. My sister showed me the lovely washi tape that she picked up at The Works the other day and I couldn't resist getting some for myself. It was such a bargain at only £1 for a 3-pack and they have really cute designs. My favourite is the blue and white polka dots. Where do you buy your washi tape from?

 YAYY! More planner stickers arrived in the post :) Another Etsy order, this time from The Hummingbird Planner. I really liked the style of the last stickers I purchased so I wanted to look for similar items sold by another store and I came across this lovely shop.  I liked how the stickers were different in colour to the other stickers I bought for my filofax.

This time I was looking for stickers I could use to organise and plan my outgoing letters, birthday cards, postcards for postcrossing and snailmail to my penpals. The envelopes come in 25 different colours which is cool and you could choose between a darker or lighter coloured sheet. They were only £1.95 which is great for 77 stickers! The other sheet I purchased was for noting the dates of my medical appointments. I wish I could have purchased seperate sheets for doctors and dentist stickers, because I will use the doctor ones pretty quickly #spoonieproblems. You get 44 doctor and 33 dentist stickers, again for £1.95.

Also included with my stickers was a little thankyou note from the shop owner containing a mini sheet with some sample stickers, which is really sweet ♥ I love these stickers and the delivery was super quick. I recommend getting your planner stickers from this store.

Filofax Fridays #1

Hey Everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful start to 2016. Apologies for not blogging for the last week, I've been having a hard time because... well depression sucks >.< and so I decided to try and concentrate on self-care. I've been meaning to start this new feature on my blog for a while now but life has gotten in the way, especially with last month being filled with lots of busy preparation for Christmas. For my birthday in October, I got my first ever Filofax! It's a gorgeous A5 Domino Patent planner in such a lovely turquoise colour. I wanted to start using it as soon as the New Year arrived, however I'm aiming now to have my set-up all ready by February. I need to purchase all of the elements on my checklist and I thought I'd show you all each Friday, what I've been buying along the way. 

My Checklist 

- Planner stickers (for organising, blogging, day-to-day activities, appointments, etc.) 

- Some pretty dividers to seperate my sections 

- A lovely dashboard (which is a decorative piece/panel that goes at the front of your planner so that it greets you as soon as you open it. Some people use it to simply make their planners look pretty, but others use it to stick notes too and such).  

-  Some washi tape (to decorate my pages. I've seen such beautiful planner set-ups on instagram, youtube & pinterest... the majority of which use washi tape and it looks awesome). 

- To need to print out the pages for my weekly and monthly diaries (because I don't like the filofax ones).

 - & finally, some sticky notes (to use for reminders around my planner). 

For the next three weeks, I'm going to be looking for these things to fill my Filofax and would love any suggestions from fellow planner users on good shops to look at :) For my first Filofax Fridays post, I'm going to be showing you some lovely stickers that I purchased from the Etsy shop, Plan with Jade. I think they are fantastic and are exactly what I wanted to use in my planner!

 

I'm really happy with the overall appearance and quality of the stickers. One of the reasons I chose them was because they were printed onto matte paper, which I prefer over glossy, shiny paper and because of all the colours used. How bright are these stickers?! They look so lovely! I purchased these stickers to help with organising blog-related things, so I decided to buy both the 'Social Media' & 'Blogging/Youtube' icon sticker sheets. Each sheet contains 77 stickers, which I thought was great for £2.50 per sheet. 

I love the variety of icons you get on each of the sheets, especially on the blogging sheet with several little photograph, writing and video stickers. I can't wait to start using them, and I recommend this shop if you're looking for stickers as there's lots of other similar ones for household chores, pet care and much more. Plus the delivery was so quick and by shopping on Etsy, you are supporting small businesses which is nice. I've ordered some icon stickers from another store so it will be interesting to compare them.
