TokiDoki Blind Box Haul

Hey lovelies! It's been absolutely ages since I've had the opportunity to buy blind boxes and it's been like torture for me! It will be no surprise to my regular readers that I adore blind boxes and surprise subscription boxes, and it's felt like forever since I was able to share my love for them with you all. Until now, yay!! I recently did a huge TokiDoki blind box haul, and so I wanted to show you all the wonderful figures I got. Enjoy!

TokiDoki Blind Box

TokiDoki is an Italian brand, established in 2005, that sell all sorts of mechandrise showcasing their super cute Japanese kawaii-culture inspired characters! I first discovered this awesome brand when I was in my teens, when I spotted a Hello Kitty X TokiDoki collaboration plushie whilst out shopping with my friends in Manchester. It was so adorable! Hello Kitty in a cactus costume with a mini chilli friend with the sweetest expression on it's face! Ever since, I've been a fan of the brand but I never saw any of their products in local shops and the online shopping option was too pricey for me back then. When I was a little older, I learnt that they made vinyl figures sold in blind boxes and was so excited! I love collecting figures, I have since I was little. After watching lots of youtube unboxing videos, I finally caved into temptation and saved up to buy some. And thus, my TokiDoki blindbox passion obsession began.

If you've been following me for a while now, you'll have probably seen some of my Unicorno posts (If not, why not check some of them out here & here?). I have now collected almost all of the Unicorno Series 4 figures, so this recent haul was originally supposed to just consist of several Series 4 boxes to try to complete my set; however I got a little carried away as you can see, haha!

I ordered several of the Cactus Pets range because I only just learnt about their existence and I am in love! I also bought some of the newest releases- Unicorno Series 5 and Mermicorno Series 2, as well as a Moofia Series 2, a Sushi Car and a Donutella blind box. So... it's about time I revealed the figures that I found inside!*pic heavy*

TokiDoki Cactus Pets

LOOK HOW ADORABLE THESE GUYS ARE! How could I not fall in love at first sight!? I really love the TokiDoki Cactus Friends characters and have always hoped they would make some standard sized figures of them. They have previously released Cactus Kitties and Cactus Pups collections but the figures are mini, and so I decided they were not value for money and never bought any. So, you can imagine my delight when the Cactus Pets range was brought to my attention! I just love how unique the Cactus characters are, and I'm an animal lover so this combination of cute creatures and spikey outfits is perfect for me! I really like how the spikes on each figure are more than one colour. I also just really like how bright and cheerful the Cactus Pets look!

The first Cactus Pet that I opened was the frog, who's name is Roger (how cute is that!?) and I was so happy since the frog and Peanut the hamster are my favourites in the collection. My least favourite was the purple chick, but when I actually saw this figure in person it's a lot cuter than I thought it was going to be. I was glad to get one of the two cats available in the collection too! This pretty kitty is called Luna and she reminds of a Siamese cat. I love the shade of blue that they've used for her. The turtle's shell is covered in hearts and is just such a lovely figure. I adore his little smiley face! Which Cactus Pet do you like best out of the ones I received?

I was really looking forward to checking out the fifth series of the Unicorno figures, and although I didn't get the characters that I most wanted, I was still happy with the ones I did get. They are so vibrant! It was also interesting to see how they've changed the figures. The previous unicornos have had tails that were moveable and these ones don't. Also, the symbols and patterns on the unicorns are made of a different material which feels almost like a sticker, even though it's not. I don't know how they keep coming up with so many new designs but the artists over at TokiDoki always do a fantastic job!

TokiDoki Unicorno Series 5

TokiDoki Mermicorno Series 2

Even thought I don't plan on collecting the entire Mermicornos collections, I think they are such gorgeous little figures and mermaids are awesome so I couldn't not buy at least one from this new series! I already have a figure from Series 1 so it only seemed right, any excuse to buy blind boxes basically! I didn't get any of my favourites again, but Perlina is pretty and I love her summery colouration. I love the two-toned horn, and how her little pearl bow matches her mane. I'm not very keen on the purple tail in contrast to the other colours on the figure but it's lovely nonetheless.

As for my Unicorno Series 5 figures, aren't they awesome? Of course, I adore the kawaii themed 'Tokimeki' with her candy land mane and colourful stars. The little pink teddy bear is a fabulous addition to her overall look too! The other figure from this collection that I got is 'Kinoko' which means mushroom in Japanese, and I have always loved cute mushroom print things! Although all of the bold colours combined with these make me think of psychedelic artwork. I am definitely happy to add these unicorns to my evergrowing collection :)

TokiDoki Blind Box

Above are the Donutella & Friends, Moofia Series 2 and Sushi Cars figures that were waiting for me inside their very pretty boxes. That's something that I love about the TokiDoki blind boxes, they have such colourful and well-decorated packaging. They have different designs for each collection and have lovely illustrations of all of the characters you can expect in the series. I love the shape of the Donutella blind boxes, it's not like any other blind box packaging I've seen before! The boxes for Moofia characters are also in a milk cartoon-style box... like how great an idea is that!?

TokiDoki Donutella and Her Sweet Friends

TokiDoki Moofia Series 2

TokiDoki Sushi Cars

I was surprised to get Donutella herself in my 'Donutella & Her Sweet Friends' blind box. I wanted one of her kitty or puppy friends but I can't complain at getting the main character in the collection. I love the look of donuts with rainbow sprinkes and they are all over the figures in this set, which are all sweet treat themed with most of them of course being donut-related. I love Donutella's pink hair and socks, and how she's posed like a ballerina. I'll admit that I really didn't want to get one of the yogurt figures inside my Moofia box, but I did. I also bought my niece some surprise boxes (she loves blind box figures now, I'm a bad influence!) and she got one of my favourite characters... typical! As much as I didn't want a yogurt, I still like how he's a little greek yogurt and he's got ancient greek sandals on, and a pattern similar to those you would find on pottery artifacts from that era!

How adorable is my Sushi Car figure though!? And for once, I got the one I wanted first time around! I had my heart set on this Palette figure because she's one of my most loved TokiDoki characters. I love the Series 4 Unicorno that is inspired by her, and I love this car! The figure is called 'Palette: California Rollin'. I really like the expression on this sushi's face because it makes me think of Studio Ghibli's Totoro. Who agrees? The wheels on these figures don't move which is a shame but I didn't expect them to since these are not toys, they are collectable figures, as the boxes like to remind us!

TokiDoki Unicorno Series 4

I didn't manage to get the two missing figures to complete my set of Series 4 Unicornos. They are both chasers (these are rarer figures that are harder to get), which you have a 1/48 chance of finding. I neeeeed them *cry cry*. I'm actually selling these four figures since they are duplicates so let me know if you're interested. Left to Right: Ruby, Yuma, Sirena & Yuki (aka Elsa Pony!).

TokiDoki Collectable Figures

You've reached the end of today's post and if you didn't know how much I love these figures, you certainly do now! I actually squealed when I opened these boxes, haha. I'd love to hear your opinions on the figures that I got in my TokiDoki blind box haul: who's your favourite? your least favourite? Have I made you want to buy some for yourself? I always get my TokiDoki figures from a UK based online store called Collect & Display. If you're into collectable figures, you should definitely check them out; they even have a reward points system too which you can build up with every purchase and get money off your future orders! I hope you enjoyed this post :)

Thankyou for reading!

Blindbox Haul

Happy Sunday everyone! Over the last few months, I have had quite a few blindboxes on my wishlist and I'm happy to announce that I've finally got around to buying some! In today's post, I'm going to be showing you the vinyl figures that I received inside each blindbox. So this is post is one for my fellow toy and figure lovers :) I hope you enjoy!

Blindbox Haul

As you'll probably know by now, I am a little (*cough* a lot) obsessed with the Unicorno figures by Tokidoki. I am collecting series 4 and I still don't have all of the figures, so it was time to get some more Unicorno blindboxes to try and add more to my collection. Tokidoki are yet to release a series 5, but they have created a new Unicorno collection. I featured the Mermicorno blindbox on my June Kawaii & Geeky Wishlist and I was over the moon to have finally been able to order one! As well as getting more Unicorno blindboxes, I also ordered another from the Tokidoki collection. What sparked this haul was watching unboxing videos with my niece on Youtube, and the first video we watched showed the Moofia Series 1 collection. I had strong craving for opening blindboxes afterwards and with Moofia starting it all, of course I had to pop one of those in my shopping cart too, haha! I get all of my Tokidoki blindboxes from an online called Collect & Display.

Blindbox Haul, Unicorno Blindbox, Tokidoki Blindbox, Moofia Blindbox, Mermicorno Blindbox,

It was a pleasant surprise to see that the Unicorno logo has been redesigned. I love this new one, it's so cute with the little unicorn heads inside the O's! I have purchased a Moofia blindbox before, although I forgot to blog about it, oops, but I was still really happy about the design of the box the second time around. I just think it is awesome how it's designed to resemble a milk carton. The Mermicorno box is so different to the typical Unicorno boxes. Instead of being made from cardboard, it's plastic, and it's also see-through. On the usual Unicorno blindboxes, all of the characters you can get are shown on the side of the box along with their names. However, with the Mermicorno blindbox you don't get this. I was super excited to open these boxes, yet I was also a little nervous about the Unicorno ones since I only have three more to collect, two of which are chasers (harder to get) and so there was a higher risk of me getting more duplicates. Without further ado, here are the figures that I got...

Unicorno Blindbox, Unicorno Series 4, Unicorno Series 4 Blindbox,

Yayyyy! I got Ruby! This unicorn was one of the figures that I was hoping for. She's so pretty too. I adore her design, I especially love how they've not only decorated her with little strawberries but have also made her mane red and tail green so that she resembles a strawberry, too! Looking at her makes me think of a strawberry Mini Milk ice lolly. I love the shade of baby pink they have used, and also her little red freckles. I received a duplicate in my other blindbox, a Yuki figure, and I gave it to my niece. I just need to get Kingsley and Elettrico to complete the entire series 4!

Moofia Blindbox, Tokidoki Moofia Blindbox, Tokidoki Moofia,

I absolutely love the Moofia characters! I think they are adorable, and I have so much Moofia merch. I am actually wearing my Moofia PJ pants as I write this post! :) The Moofia series 1 collection includes ten figures, plus a chaser. I really wanted one of the milk carton characters as they are my favourite, and I'm not planning to complete this collection. I am still happy with the Half & Half milk though because he's cute. I love his horns and the sweet little coffee cup printed on his front. I also like that he's winking, and I'm glad that he stands up well on his own without falling over. Anyone else have any Moofia merch?

Mermicorno, Tokidoki Mermicorno, Mermicorno Blindbox,

OH MY GOSH! How gorgeous is this figure!!? I am really impressed! I had already watched an unboxing video of these new cuties, and I can't believe that I got one of my favourites in my first unboxing. This character is called Marina, and I love her purple, blue and pink colour scheme. I love the anchor bow on her mane, and the metallic blue used on her tail and mane. She's a very nice figure and I am now tempted to collect all of the Mermicornos! Watch this space :)

You may think that this post is over now because I've shown you all of the Tokidoki figures I got, but I have two more blindboxes to show you. One of my nieces recently turned 11 and for her birthday, I bought her a My Geek Box Kids one-off subscription box. The boxes are aimed at 5-11 years old, so you often get items that are not really suited for an 11 year old but are perfect for a younger child. I opened the box prior to giving it to my niece, removed the items that I knew she wouldn't enjoy and replaced them with some items I'd bought. One of the items that I thought would be fun to put in was a blindbox. I decided on the Funko Disney Princess Mystery Mini's, and since I have wanted one of these for ages too I couldn't not order myself one. I was feeling particularly generous that day so I ordered another for my sister.

Funko Disney Princess Mystery Minis

Funko Disney Princess Mystery Minis

Funko Disney Princess Mystery Minis

My sister got Anna from Frozen & I got Jasmine from Aladdin! Although my sister would have loved to get Ariel as she's her favourite Disney Princess, she was still happy to get Anna. I love her freckles and I think it's cool that they've included the white streak in her hair. I absolutely love her outfit, it looks just like the movie! Belle is my favourite Disney movie but I was more than glad to receive Jasmine. She's adorable and I think her outfit is fabulous, especially her shoes. I wish that I'd taken a photo of her hair to show you all. It's awesome, and so big. It makes the figure a lot more weightier than the Anna one. These figures looked adorable on the box, however they are so much more cuter in person. I'm definitely gonna be getting some more! My niece was really lucky with her box, too. She got Raja the Tiger from Aladdin, and he's one of the rarest figures in the whole collection at 1 in 72. Clearly there was some birthday luck going on there, haha!

I seriously need to get my shelving sorted in my bedroom, which I've been saying for months and months now. I have no where to display my figures until I have purchased some shelves, and I want to display all of my new fantastic figures!! I'd love to see photos of how everyone displays their figures and toys. Add me on snapchat and show me! (I'm at raiin_monkey). I hope you all enjoyed reading this post. Let me know which was your favourite figure in the comments.

Thankyou for reading!

Out of all of the figures in the Disney Princess blindbox, which would you more like to get?

Yayy! New Unicornos!

Since I was having a hard time with my mental health last month, I wanted to try and cheer myself up and so I decided it was time to get some more unicorno blindboxes. Opening these boxes to find a surprise, beautifully-designed, colourful unicorno inside never fails to make me smile! :) If you haven't seen my unicorno posts before, they are adorable unicorn vinyl figures made by a company called Tokidoki, which sells loads of adorable mech. There are twelve to collect in each series, and I'm currently trying to complete series 4. Before ordering these new blindboxes, I had collected seven unicornos and I was so happy to discover that I'd received two new unicornos (plus a couple of duplicates!) and I can't wait to show them to you all. I hope you enjoy reading!

I am so happy that I finally received Cornetto! I just love his design, I think he's so pretty and adorable, and he was one of my favourites in this series from the start. Cornetto's design resembles the characters in Tokidoki's Donutella & Friends collection.

I love the light and dark brown colour of his body, along with the icing and sprinkles of this design, it makes me think of a chocolate-coated donut. I absolutely love the multi-coloured sprinkles, they stand out so well because of his body colour. His horn is also really eye-catching being bright white.

Isn't he just so pretty!? I like how the Tokidoki logo is different shade of brown to the rest of the unicorno. He's just a lovely unicorno and I'm so glad that I have now added him to my collection :)

It was my lucky day when I opened these blindboxes! I got another new unicorno, which was also on my original favourites list! This unicorno is called Cremino and his design also resembles another of the Tokidoki characters, Moofia. These characters are cow themed and many of them are designed to look like milk cartons. Latte is one of most well-known of the Moofia series, and Cremino has been made to look like him :)

I think it's so cool that Cremino has two horns and that they are an awesome gold colour! I love his matching gold hooves & cheeks. My favourite part about his design is the pale blue colour they've used. I really like how it looks like they've dipped half of the figure in blue paint.

I think the bright white colour of this unicorno is so pretty! It's another wonderful unicorn! I am definitely in love with these unicornos and it's going to be difficult for me to resist collecting series 1,2 & 3 but at the moment, I have no where to display anymore! I just have three more figures to collect to complete this series, two of which are chasers! Wish me luck :)

Thankyou for reading!

More Unicorno Blindboxes

I knew that as soon as I ripped open my first unicorno blindbox, tore the silver packaging and revealed the adorable unicorn vinyl figure that was waiting inside, that I would be hooked. After watching people open these blindboxes on youtube for months, I was so excited to get my hands on one of my own! I was aware that they would be cute, but in person they are so much better! I love how every individual unicorno 'character' has so many little details that make them unique. Since opening my first two unicorno blindboxes, I've purchased six more. I get all of my unicornos from Collect & Display. I decided I wanted to complete the set and collect all twelve unicornos in the series 4 collection. I can't wait to put up a little shelf in my bedroom and line up my kawaii unicorno army! So anyhow... here are the newest unicornos to my colleciton :)

The first new unicorno I got was 'Yuki'. She's so pretty! She's like the Elsa of the unicorno world :) I love the colour of this unicorno, the blues and whites and the silver horn, hooves and tokidoki logo. The little snowflakes are adorable, with their little smiley faces, especially the one in her hair.

The next unicorno I got was 'Hikari', which means 'light' in Japanese. This unicorno is so lovely and is designed with a goldfish theme. The colours are very bright, with a mixture of dark and light orange, and silver patches to represent scales. I love how her cheeks are tiny orange hearts and the expression on the fishes face is cute; it looks in awe!

This little beauty is 'Pallina'; she wasn't one of my favourites from the pictures on the side of the box but she sure is one of them now. She is just so gorgeous! I love everything about her design. I love the bright coloured stars dotted all over her, her multi-coloured hooves, the little pink detail on her ears, the star design of her cheeks with whiskers on, the pale pink colour of her horn and how her eyelashes are a different style to the other unicornos.

She is a cat themed unicorno, how adorable is her cat nose? She also has the prettiest bow on her tail. She has a little bit of damage on the end of her horn, the point is missing, but you can barely notice it. She's just an all-around fantastic unicorno!

This unicorno is called 'Yuma' and she was one of my favourites that I really want to get! She's designed in the style of another of Tokidoki's characters, the Cactus Friends, which I've absolutely loved since I bought my hello kitty X cactus friends collaboration plushie :) I really like the illuminous pink colour of her hooves and horn. Green is also my favourite colour so that's another thing that drew me to this unicorno in particular and I just think the spikey design of her is so cool.

Her tail is also spikey, which is awesome! She's a great character and I really like her name.

I know this unicorno is a really popular one, and I'm not surprised! Her colour and overall design is gorgeous. I love the mint colour of her is so pretty and the butterfly cartoons that decorate her body are so sweet. I love the mixture of pink and lilac that cover the rest of her body, and the butterfly in her hair is adorable. She's a really girly unicorno, even her eyes and eyelashes are designed in a way that makes her resemble a Disney Princess.

She has a different decoration on the other side of her body, a butterfly and some colourful diasies. I like how two of her hooves are pink and two are mint.

So far, I was really lucky not to get any duplicate unicornos, but my luck didn't last! My final blindbox contained one that I already had, 'Can Can', which I got in my first unboxing (see her here). Unfortunetly, this vinyl figure of Can Can was damaged and when I let the company know, I experienced fantastic customer service. They replied to my email very quickly asking if I'd like a new blindbox or a refund. Of course, I wanted another blindbox and they sent me a new one right away. I was very happy with how polite and facilitating the company were. This new blindbox also contained Can Can!! hahaha it made me laugh. Although it is a little annoying when you get repeats but the point of blindboxes is that you can get any of the unicornos so you have to be prepared to receive duplicates. I will save this unicorno to use for a future giveaway :)

I have five more unicornos to collect to complete my entire set and two of those are chasers, which means they are harder to get! Wish me luck :) I hope you enjoyed reading today's post.

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Which of these unicornos is your favourite? Do you collect any figures: other tokidoki characters or something different? if you've blogged about them, please leave me links :)

Tokidoki Unicorno Blindboxes

I was so excited to get my first ever tokidoki blindboxes! If you saw my latest kawaii & geeky wishlist, you'd have spotted that the first item on there was a unicorno :) I've been wanting to collect these for such a long time and I've been kind of obsessed with watching unboxing videos on youtube of these beauties and other tokidoki characters. I was really happy when I recently discovered a UK store that sold them; Collect and Display sell a few other blindboxes so if you're interested, check them out here. I decided to choose the Series 4 Unicorno blindboxes because I liked most of the unicornos available in this series.

How gorgeous are these unicorns!? *heart eyed emoji* I have so many favourites! I love how some of the unicornos' designs are based on other tokidoki characters from different collections. Cornetto resembles the Donutella characters & Cremino resembles the Moofia ones. I think that's awesome! The ones I like the most are Yuma, Cremino, Sirena & Cornetto. You can get any of these unicorns at random, but Kingsley and Elettrico are 'chasers' meaning they are more difficult to find! So... without further ado, here are the unicorns I got!

Yayy! I was so happy that I got one of my absolute favourite unicornos in my first blindbox. Go me! I think it's fantastic that there's a mermaidy unicorn in this series. I love the detail that goes into the design of these vinyl figures. All the colours and the little additions...I mean look how pretty her shell and pearl necklace are! Does anyone else love the feel of vinyl figures? I love the smooth matte 'texture' of the paint. This post is about to get pic heavy because I want to give you all a better look at these pretty ponies!

Sometimes, there are little mistakes on the figures. I've seen this in quite a few of the youtube videos I've watched; someone even got one without an eye painted on! As you can see, my mermaid unicorn has a bent horn! haha but I don't know, I'm just really glad that I got her. I like how there's a different pattern on each side of her, and how the tail is a different colour to the body. Next, blindbox number 2....

.... I got Can Can! She's fantastic, so bright & colourful. The feathers on her head are an awesome addition, and I love the bunting pattern on her body. Another really pretty unicorno... I can't believe how nice they are! I like the shiny gold paint on her horn and star. One thing I personally dislike about this unicorno is the grey colour used for her body. It's a little dull looking.

On this unicorno, the patterns are the same on both sides of the body, but I love how each of her hooves are a different colour. The red stars on her ears are cute, and the blue used for her hair is one of my favourite colours! I noticed a small mistake on Can Can too. She has a white smudge on one of her eyes. It's a little annoying to have mistakes on both my new unicornos, but it's not put me off wanting to complete the whole collection.

Overall, I'm very happy with both of my unicorno vinyl figures. They are lovely, with lots of awesome details and I can't wait to have a little army of them to decorate my bedroom. I even love the boxes, they are so pretty and include a little story on the back , 'The Unicornos were once simple little ponies that were out trotting and wandered into a magic waterfall. Passing through the waterfall, the ponies transformed into unicorns and found a hidden magical kingdom. The Unicornos live between the magic kingdom and our world'.... so sweet

I hope you all enjoyed today's post.

Who else is a fan of tokidoki? Do you have some of the figures or any other items?
Do you have any of the unicornos?
