Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box | Review

Hello guys! Ugh, hasn't the weather just been dreadful lately!? It's making me long for Spring to arrive! And I know that will bring with it 'April showers' but along with those we'll get flowers blossoming and trees growing buds and all the baby animals! Thinking about the fact it's going to be officially the start of Springtime tomorrow made me realise that I'm yet to show you guys what I got in my last two Pusheen subscription boxes! I was terrible last year at blogging, if you're a regular reader you'll know why, and for that I'm sorry guys, but to be honest, considering the theme of the box I am going to show you all today, I feel like it's perfect timing :) The theme is a cosy one, and with all this miserable weather in the aftermath of Storm Gareth (I love that they name storms like this! haha), I'm sure we've all been trying to make ourselves as comfy and snug as possible, pretty much hibernating in our homes! Anyhow, I hope you all enjoy reading this long-awaited post!

The Box of the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

The Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box doesn't list a theme but some of the descriptions on the little information card they give you in each box say relax so that's what I'm going to asumme it is! Although I'd maybe call it more of a self-care box. You can decide for yourselves :)

Before I show you guys what items I received, I should explain a little more about the Pusheen Box for anyone who's not heard of it before. This super awesome subscription is a quarterly one, which means that subscribers are sent a box every season/three months or so, and the boxes are themed in association with the corresponding season :) You can check out my Summer 2018 Box here for more insight into the themes and such.

Every box comes with an exclusive vinyl figure that matches the theme in some way, but all of the other 7-9 items are a surprise! The subscription boxes are pretty pricey but considering you get a big box of excellent quality, and mostly exclusive, items, and you pay the same 'in bunk' as what you'd pay anyway over three months if you were subscribed to a monthly box of a similar quality, it's really not bad at all. I love the Pusheen Box, and I'm always super happy with the items I'm sent so I don't really mind the price, which works out at around £55 (that's including the shipping) plus the silly customs fee if you live in the UK like me. So, without further ado, here is the contents of the Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box...

A photo showing all the items from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

I am in love with the pastel shades colour scheme of this version of the Autumn Pusheen Box! As much as I love the browns and rusts associated with this wonderful season, my most favourite season of the year, it makes a nice change to have something a little different, plus it makes the items even more useful because you can use them all year round, not that I wouldn't anyway, but I know a lot of people like to keep their home décor and such matching whatever season it is. Me, on the other hand still has some of my Halloween decorations displayed around my bedroom XD The pastels also go perfectly with the overall theme of the box because they set the mood for relaxation, don't you think?

There were eight items in this Pusheen subscription box, and I think that whoever packs these boxes needs an award because they manage to fit so much in the space available, and I have no idea how they do it! Because I can never get every single item back into the box! But maybe that's just me being crap at packaging :D Anyhow, the items were: Pusheen stress ball, a toothbrush cover and toothbrush, a hand towel,  a loofah, an exclusive themed plushie, a Lazy Pusheen vinyl figure, a soap dispenser, and...

A photo showing a dressing gown from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

A Pusheen dressing gown/robe! Seriously how pretty is this item!? I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I am always super delighted whenever Pusheen Box include a jumper, but this is even better! Each box usually contains some type of wearable, from t-shirts to flip-flops, and Pusheen Box unlike so many other subscription boxes has more than like two plus sizes, so I can actually wear the clothes I receive! (I'm looking at you geeky subscription boxes... -_-). I never expected to get a dressing gown though and oh my goodness, it's so bloody soft, and feels really nice to wear! I've only tried it on thus far because it's so lovely that I'm a little worried that I will somehow ruin it. I am in the habit of ruining clothes with my clumsiness and  epic lack of hand-eye coordination skills :D

A photo showing the dressing gown design from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

You can literally see just how lovely the quality of the material is just from the picture :) It's lush! I really like the shade of blue that they've chosen too as it's one of my favourite colours, it seems more summery than autumn vibes, but I don't care, it's fabulous! I am such a fan of fluffy white clouds on a blue background designs, so I can't not adore this dressing gown, and as if that's not enough, it is covered in the most adorable Pusheens! The balloon ones reminds me of Disney's Up which is a wonderful movie, and they add the perfect splash of colour. The Pusheens that have a speech bubble saying 'Hi!' just make me think of that high-pitched meow that cats give you when they're greeting you, and that makes my heart happy :3

A photo showing a Pusheen stress ball from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

This item is more of a squishy than a stress ball, which is fine because I love squishies :) I don't own that many so it's awesome to have received an adorable, good quality one. I'm curious to see if it will help my anxiety, because I know that a lot of people use them for that. I'll let you guys know if it does!

This item seems a little random when compared with the other items in the box, which together seem to make up a bathroom or bathtime box! The reason why I would consider it a self-care box is because each of the items help you to look after your well-being in some way. I think the theme of this box is fantastic! Even though this stress ball could be seen as more of a filler item, it's still useful and when compared with the kinds of filler items that I've been sent in other subscription boxes in the past, it's a great item! I like that it's the original Pusheen too, who is forever adorable in her simplicity.

A photo showing two items from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018, a loofah and a soap dispenser

A photo showing a cute Pusheen loofah from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

How sweet is this rubber tag attached to the loofah!? I absolutely love the design of it! I imagine that I look something like this Pusheen when I put on the dressing gown that I received XD Chubby and cute, with the same expression of pure joy on my face because of how soft the dressing gown is! As you can see from my group photo of all the items above, it also matches the plushie that I was sent too which is awesome. When I've finished with the loofah, I can cut the rope 'handle' and keep this tag, put it on a keyring or whatever :) It's brilliant quality too. The loofah is just a standard loofah, but I'm happy to receive an item that is actually useful.

As for the soap dispenser, I very much like that it's simplistic in design, and I can see it going well with any bathroom colour scheme. The reasons that I love Pusheen so much is because a) she's a cat and cats are amazing!, b) she's chubby and adorable and looks so huggable, c) I love grey animals! & d) I really like her simple design, it just really appeals to me! So, I am always very glad that so much Pusheen merch just keeps to her original design, and although it's nice to have Pusheenicorns and Pusheenosaurus, etc., plain, grey Pusheen will always be personally my favourite. And so the soap dispenser suits my tastes, and again, it's something that I can get a lot of use out of. The Pusheen Box is so fantastic because it appeals to lovers of kawaii, but unlike other kawaii boxes, it is designed more with adults in mind, and thus includes items that are practical and handy, but still super adorable!

A photo showing a plushie from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

Even though the dressing gown just has to be my favourite item in the entire box, it is closely followed by this spectacular plushie! I am a collector of plushies, I have loved them all of my life and while a lot of people grow out of them as they get older, I just found that I wanted to buy more now that I was an adult (Pfft XD) and had money that I could spend on whatever I wanted... apparently I wanted a lot of plushies! Despite the fact that I am sooner or later going to be overrun with plushies and have no room left to actually sleep in my bedroom, I am always happy to get more to add to my collection! Who else is the same?

I have received three mini plushies now from Pusheen Box and I adore them all, but this one might be the best in my opinion. I just love the colours, the sky blue goes so nicely with the grey, and I love that me and Pusheen will be twinning when I'm wearing my new dressing gown. The plushie is just as soft and so squishy and ideal for cuddling! I like that the plushies are mini as it makes them easier to display and store, and I wouldn't mind receiving more in future boxes so I can create a little army of Pusheens! (and they can help me finally achieve world domination, who knows! :') … that sounded funnier in my head, I tried!).

Behind the plushie you can kind of see the toothbrush cover, I would have taken a photo of it on it's own but I feel like my blog posts are always so picture heavy and I don't know if that makes them annoying to read or whatever, I'd really appreciate your feedback on this guys! But yeah, I was certainly happy to receive this item because I was just going to buy some more anyway, and I usually purchase the boring, clear plastic ones, so it will be a lovely change to be greeted by Pusheen each time I brush my teeth :) It's cool that they threw in a toothbrush as well, plus I love the colour of it, it's like a mint green/turquoise-ish shade.

A photo showing a lazy Pusheen vinyl figure from Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box

Finally, it's time to talk about the vinyl figure! As a collector of vinyl figures (yes, I collect a lot of things...), I always enjoy getting new figures and I love that these ones are exclusive to the subscription boxes. I wasn't really a fan of the design of the vinyl figure from the previous box I received so I was hoping the Autumn box would bring with it a figure that I loved. I was not disappointed! This vinyl figure is the smallest of all of the ones I've been sent, and I really like how Pusheen is laying on her side. I also love that she's winking, so cute! I can't wait for an opportunity to use this little cutie for my toy photography page, which you can have a nosey at over on Instagram

I said finally, but then I realised that I almost forgot to share my thoughts on the hand towel that was included in the Autumn 2018 box. I was impressed with the size of it, because upon first glance I assumed it was a flannel but it's a typical sized hand towel. I like that it's made from a thin material because it won't take up too much room in a suitcase or overnight bag. It's a lovely colour, although I usually opt for darker colours on account of the colours fading with each wash, some pale towels don't take many washes to look completely faded. It's still a really nice towel though and I don't even know if I'm going to be able to bring myself to use it yet! There's always one item that I receive in each Pusheen Box that I find myself saying this about, but it's true. They are too cute and precious and I don't want to wreck them. Especially this towel because the design on it is incredibly adorable. It's Pusheen sleeping on a cloud! There's always one item in the box that directly relates to the details on the outside of the actual box, and this is the one for 2018's Autumn edition.

A photo showing all of the items from the Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box

Here's a better look at the toothbrush cover guys! I'd love to know what your favourite item is in this box, and what you think of the overall theme in general. Let me know in the comments! I hope that you all love reading about the Pusheen subscription box as much as I enjoy sharing it with you all. It is such an exciting box to get in the post, which makes up for the nice customs fee that comes along with it >.<. I still think it's worth it as it's the only subscription box that I've always found to have such a consistent standard and quality. I know that I will like the majority of the items I get, that they will always be well-made and something that I can actually get use out of! (or will make a lovely present for one of my loved ones who will). Even if the theme ends up being one that isn't really my cup of tea, I know that I will still enjoy the items themselves, because it's Pusheen and I love her character!

It won't be long until the Spring Box arrives, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what the theme will be! Back in 2016, I got my first ever Pusheen Box and it had a very food-oriental theme. Then I missed 2017's Spring box because I was going through some money issues and had to unsubscribe for a while, and that box had a Pusheen Easter bunny on the front so I was gutted that I couldn't get it! Last Spring, the box had a celebration theme to commemorate the 10th Pusheen Box, including items of gold, turquoise and pink, featuring very Pinterest worthy designs. So I have no inkling what this year's theme will be and I love surprises! Before it arrives, I'll make sure to blog all about my last box of 2018, Winter's Pusheen Box. Have a wonderful rest of the week everyone!

Thankyou for reading!

Doki Doki Box Update

Happy Saturday Everyone! Yay! It's the weekend and I'm going to be spending most of mine celebrating the Eurovision Song Contest at my friend's Eurovision-themed party!! I can't wait for tonight :) If you follow me on twitter, expect to see a lot of excitable live-tweeting, haha. I'm pretty obsessed with the show (pretty is most definitely an understatement, haha). So, for today's post I wanted to show you all the last few Doki Doki subscription boxes that I received during my blogging break. The last box I blogged about as the December one (read here), and since  then I've received three more boxes before having to cancel my subscription. I really miss getting this adorable surprise box in the post every month, especially since the boxes were really starting to improve! I keep seeing posts about the lastest boxes on social media too *insert sobbing emoji*. Anyhow, be prepared from extreme cuteness & I hope you all enjoy reading!

Each Doki Doki Box has a specific theme, and the theme for the three boxes I received are as follows, January: New Year, February: Valentine's Day, and March: Girl's Day (Hinamatsuri). Keep scrolling to find out what was inside each month's Doki Doki Box :)

 ♥ January Doki Doki Box

January Doki Doki Box

The January 'New Years' Box included: a Macaron Case, a Relax Panda Hand Rest, a Biscuit Pen, a Mount Fuji Hoppe Chan charm, a plush called 'Julie: Shogatsu Edition', a Nekomimi Headband, and a selection of Japanese snacks/candy.

When I opened the box, I was greeted by a little flyer which told all of us subscribers about a problem the company had had with US Customs, as they randomly selected one of their items for checks. Originally, the box would have also included an 'Higemanju Gamaguchi Coin Purse' by Amuse, but so that there would be a big delay with everyone's boxes, Doki Doki decided to remove this remove and instead give us all some Japanese snacks. We were sent some Genji Pie Cookies, some 'Nyusankin Ikitekimasu' Yogurt Candy and some Fortune Candy. The description for the Fortune Candy sounds really fun! Each individual sweet in the packet is labelled based on different fortunes, e.g. Popularity, Health, Travel, Future and Love. When you pop out each candy, you'll reveal a shape and they've given us a little key to tell us whether the shape represents a fortune of very good, good, not good or bad. This should be interesting! The snack I'm most looking forward to trying are the Genji Pie cookies.

January Doki Doki Box

I really like the Macaron Case, as it's quite big so there's a lot more options for what you can store it in. It would be a handy case to take them when I go out on a day trip or when I'm staying over at a friends house to store things in like medication, small hygiene products and make-up, etc. The Julie plushie is super cute; I love the detail of her face and even more so her little cross nose as it reminds me of the bunny character Miffy.  Julie is designed in the style of a 'Daruma' which is a traditional Japanese doll that people make wishes for their New Year on :)

Charmander Build A Bear Plush

So here we have Flamey, my Charmander Build-A-Bear plush modelling my new Nekomimi Headband. It's so cute, and I think I'm going to use it as a sweatband for when I'm exercising. I love the little cat ears so much :)

 ♥ February Doki Doki Box

February Doki Doki Box

Inside the February Doki Doki Box, which had a 'Valentine's Day' theme, there were some Totoro Chopsticks, a Chocolate Pen, a Valentine's Day Hoppe Chan charm, a Cherry Hair Clip, some Sanrio Character Fluffy Socks, a box of 'Meltykiss' Japanese Candy, and a Mango or Berry plushie.

There were several character socks you could have recieved including My Melody and Gudetama according to the illustrations in the monthly magazine. I'm really glad I got Hello Kitty, although my favourite Sanrio character of all time is Kuromi. Fellow kawaii fans, who's your favourite Sanrio character? Another item that had more than one style was the little bird plushies, which had two characters available. I received Mango (I think), however I would have preferred to get the Berry plushie. They are Lovebirds, how cute!

February Doki Doki Box

The Meltykiss Japanese candy that subscripers were sent is a limited edition 'Intense Strawberry' flavour. I'm not a fan of strawberry flavoured chocolate so I will probably give these to a friend, but it's a nice item for them to add to the box as it suits the theme with both the name of the product but also because, who doesn't like getting chocolates on Valentine's Day!? I actually really likethe Cherry Hair Clip, and I will happily rock it in my hair.Although I like the chocolate pen that I received in the February Box, they've made several items in previous boxes that have this chocolate design and I'm getting a little bored of it.

Something different about the Doki Doki Box is from February, the company moved their shipping to a Japanese address so that they wouldn't be faced with anymore US Customs checks and such. One fabulous thing that changed for me was that I no longer received a handling fee from customs, which used to cost me so much! So yay!

 ♥ March Doki Doki Box

March Doki Doki Box

The March Box was the final Doki Doki subscription I was sent before I had to cancel :( However, what a fantastic box to end on! This is definitely the best Doki Doki box I've received in my opinion! I loved every single item in the box!! Inside the 'Girl's Day' Box was: a Pote USA Loppy Clip, a Disney Cup, a Neko Atsume Earphone Jack Charm, a 'PuniPuni PyonPyon' plushie, a Slim Pen Case, a 'Hishimochi' Hoppe Chan Charm and finally, a 'Sasurai No Tabineco Fuwa Mocchi' Plushie. This box was just so amazinly kawaii!

Hinamatsuri is a Japanese Festival, which translates to 'Girl's Day' or 'Doll's Day'. It is celebrated on the 3rd of March each year, and is a special day where people pray for the health and happiness of the young girls in their family. People decorate their homes with traditional dolls on a red 'carpet' display, and give offerings to these dolls. I've been in love with Japan and it's culture since I was young, and I always remember being fascinated by these dolls. It would be lovely to visit Japan around this festival and see all of the celebrations at the temples. All the young girls are dressed up in the cutest traditional kimonos :)

March Doki Doki Box

Who else joined in with the Neko Atsume trend when the game first came out? I did, of course, so this charm was a brillant surprise! I can't wait to show it off on my phone :) How adorable is the rabbit plushie we received!? Puni & Pyon are designed with inspiration from the Hinamatsuri dolls, with Puni being an Empress and Pyon, an Emperor. I received Pyon (I think?). I love the bright pink colour of him, and that he's sitting on a leaf. He feels so smooth and soft too :)

There were a few items in this box where subscriptors had a chance of getting one of various different styles/colours including the Loppy Bunny Clip, the cat plushie, the Slim Pen Case and the Disney cup.

I was very please with my pretty Snow White cup, even though my favourite Disney Princess is Belle from Beauty & The Beast. My sister also fell in love with the cup and kept asking if she could steal it, haha. I haven't had a look yet to see which cat plushies or pencil cases other people were greeted with in their box, but I'm super happy with the ones I got. The pencil case is lovely, but very thin so I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for yet. Maybe some makeup brushes? What would you use it for? I have far too many pens and such to fit into such a small case!

 ♥ My Favourite Items

Doki Doki Box by Japan Crate

Since I'm blogging about all three boxes at once, I thought it would better to talk about all of my favourite items at once, and so the photo above shows all of my favourite items from three months worth of boxes :) From the January Box, my most loved item was the Panda Hand Rest. It's for wrist or hand support when you are using a computer mouse so it will definitely come in handy for me when I finally get a computer! My fibromyalgia causes me to constantly have painful wrists so I'm hoping it will help relieve some of that. Pandas are adorable!

From the Februay Box, I really loved the Totoro Chopsticks! A) because i'm a massive fan of the Studio Ghibli movie 'My Neighbour Totoro', B) How awesome is the design of these chopsticks!? They have little Chibi-Totoro's and hazelnuts? on, and C) They are plastic instead of wooden, which I really like. I still need to learn how to actually eat with chopsticks though. I also love the socks because as everyone knows, I'm obsessed with Hello Kitty.

It was really hard for me to settle on just one or two favourite items from March's Doki Doki Box, and it was a struggle to restrict myself to three! haha :D I LOVE the 'Sasurai No Tabineco Fuwa Mocchi' plush! It feels incredibly soft and squishy, and reminds me a little of a Disney tsum tsum so it's impossible for me not to love it. I also really like black cats! The Disney Cup is so cute and is actually a great quality, hardy cup too so I'm impressed. I'm over the moon that I have a Neko Atsume item too, because they are quite pricy to buy.

Finally, here's a close up of all of the Hoppe Chan charms! This little bunny character charm is a feature of every Doki Doki Box, and it's really interesting to each how they've designed her to fit in with the overall theme of each month. January's charm is Mount Fuiji, and the magazine description says that's because its a tradition in Japan on New Year's Eve for people to climb up the Mountain in order to watch the first sunset of the year! How lovely is that? I like how Hoppe Chan's hair looks like fluffy white clouds with a sun and mountain popping out of the top :)

The Valentine's Day Hoppe Chan is a typical Cupid's Arrow design, but it's still nice and I like the glitter details as well as the big pink bow on Hoppe's head. The March charm is a 'Hishimochi' which is a popular type of mochi eaten during the time of the Girl's Day Festival in Japan. I love all of the layers of colour in this charm and the flower decoration, too. My favourite charm of the three though has to be the Mt. Fuji one, mostly because I love the shade of blue they've chosen.

Overall, I'm really happy with the last three boxes that I received from Japan Crate, and I can't wait until the day I can re-subscribe. Let me know which was your favourite box and why in the comments.

Thankyou for reading!

November Doki Doki Box | Review

Hello lovelies! There has been a serious lack of posts on Raiin Monkey this month and for that, I'm so sorry. Living with both mental and physical illness makes blogging really hard at times, and for the last few weeks, I have been having a pretty hard time. I've been struggling with my mental health, with my depression getting overwhelming and in turn, my fibromyalgia and IBS have been flared up and my meds have not been doing much to help. It's been difficult to find the motivation to do the most basic of daily tasks, and so sitting down to write out a blog post or gathering up the energy to take photographs and spend hours editing them has been almost impossible. I've built up so many scribblings of half-written posts in my notebook over the month and looking over them at the weekend, I was determined to get back to blogging this week! I've got a lot to catch up with as there's so much I want to share with you all this month. For today's post, I'll be showing you all what I got inside my latest Doki Doki subscription box. Enjoy!

November Doki Doki Box

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll already know a little about Doki Doki , but if not, I'll tell you more :) Doki Doki is a monthly subscription box filled with kawaii items. It is produced by Japan Crate, which is another monthly subscription box filled with all kinds of snacks from Japan. Each Doki Doki box has a different theme, and you get a mixture of Doki Doki's own character merchandise as well as some from other Japanese brands. The theme for November's box was Kawaii Cafe. Keep reading to see what items they included in this box...

November Doki Doki Box

Inside the Kawaii Cafe Box: Croissant Pen, Monthly Hoppe Chan Charm, Puchi Puchi Baguette Pouch, Chocolate Notebook, Exclusive Rilakkuma Sunglasses, Sailor Moon Sweet Mascot Re-ment Blind Box, and a 'Baguette Au Petit Lapin' plush.

November Doki Doki Box

I was really impressed with my latest Doki Doki Box, in fact, I think it was the best box I've received so far! It was great to get a random theme that I would never have expected. It was such a nice surprise and a unique theme. I'll be very happy if the boxes carry on like this!

As a stationery lover, it was fabulous to get a few stationery items in the November box. The crossiant pen is so cool, and I definitely would have loved to received this item when I was in high school and had a thing for quirky pens! I don't know how easy it will be to write with, but I still love it! Something cool about this pen too is that it has a little magnet attached so you can stick it to the fridge or a filing cabinet in a office so you always have a pen handy :)

November Doki Doki Box

Although these sunglasses don't fit in with the overall box theme really well, I mean you're likely not going to be sitting outside a cafe in the sun rockin' your super cute new sunglasses in the middle of November haha not if you live in England right now anyway!, but they are still a nice item to have in preparation for next summer. I love getting exclusive items in my subscription boxes too, because it makes the price for the box and those costly shipping and possibly customs fees seem that much more worth it. It's also awesome that these sunglasses are small and the perfect size for me! They are a good quality too.

November Doki Doki Box

This chocolate notebook is another quirky item in this month's box! I can never have too many notebooks so I'm happy to add this one to my collection and the paper inside is blank which I like. I can use it as a jot pad to just quickly note things down in, and it's small enough for me to take it out and about with me :) The rubber cover of the notebook not only looks cool but it's also scented. It's supposed to smell like chocolate, but it really doesn't haha it's more of a fruity fragrance with a soft undertone of chocolate. Still groovy though :) My favourite thing about it is the bite-mark in the bottom corner that looks like someone's been nibbling away at it. It's super cute!

November Doki Doki Box

One of my favourite things about the Doki Doki crate is the monthly Hoppe Chan charm that is included in every box. The charm is always designed in a way that resembles the theme of each box but is usually a similar overall design. This months charm hopefully was very different and I thought it was fantastic. Hoppe Chan is sitting on cream of a slice of cake, which is decorated with dollops of cream and little gem details. It's a lovely charm and I've never been anything like it before. I like that the decoration on top of the cake is made out of a squishy plastic but is still sturdy enough that I would feel safe hanging this charm on more of my bags without worrying too much that it will easily break.

November Doki Doki Box

November Doki Doki Box

This is the best plushie that I have received in any subscription box! I absolutely love it :) It's so adorable and made out of the softest material and has the sweetest little design... a bunny hiding into a sandwich! Just awwww He has the cutest little face and ears and blushing cheeks. Also, look at this tiny pom-pom tail! He's just so squishy and precious. Also, well-made too. I'm impressed. Can you tell how much I like him!? :D

November Doki Doki Box

It's no secret that I really love blind boxes and collectible figures, so you can imagine how happy I was when I opened the November box and found this charm blind box inside! I love Sailor Moon when I was a child, and earlier this year started re-watching it so I'm super happy to receive this item. I have always been curious about the blind boxes by Re-ment, a Japanese collectible toy company, so it was great to finally get one. Have you ever got a Re-ment blind box before? What figures?

There was six different charms available in this blind box, and which of the charms has two seperate charms which can be removed if you prefer just one on your charm or want you use one on something else. One of the charms is a chocolate and the other is a pastry/biscuit. I would have been delighted to get any of the charms, but I had two favourites. I didn't get the one that I most wanted but I got my next best choice. It's a super nice charm, colourful and has a good paintjob.

November Doki Doki Box

Oops, I always seem to forgot to get a close up photo of one of the items! This time, it was the 'Puchi Puchi Bagette Pouch'. Apparently 'puchi puchi' in Japanese describes the sound that something squishy makes! This pouch is made from squishy plush material hence the name. It's a cute pouch that can be used to put in either stationery essentials or make-up/make-up brushes. It would only be good for day-to-day amounts though because it's not very big. It might also make a good glasses/sunglasses case because it's squishy which will cushion the glasses and keep them safe, if handled with care. The pouche has a very simplistic design which is made to replicate a simple bagette bun. I like it :)

Overall, I very much enjoyed the November Doki Doki Box. It was wonderful in my opinion, and the items were fun and something a little different, and I'm super excited now to find out what other themes will be in future boxes. With the last few months I've received I was a actually considering cancelling my subscription because I was only getting a few items I liked in each box but not enough to justify the cost of the subscription plus P&P. However, this box changed my mind and I think I'll give the box a few more tries. I was happy that I didn't get a t-shirt this month, because even though they are cute, they don't cater for a variety of plus sizes and that sucks. I love the Kawaii Cafe theme and all of the items are great as well as useful or just nice to have! What do you think of this box?

Thankyou for reading!

Doki Doki Box | Review

Happy Tuesday! Today, I have a new subscription box full of cutesy Japanese surprises to show you all! I decided after getting the Kawaii Box for a whole year, it was time to find another box to satisfy my kawaii cravings, and this is the first of hopefully many that I wanted to check out. I hope you all enjoy reading!

Doki Doki by Japan Crate

The Doki Doki Box is made by the same company as Japan Crate, a popular monthly subscription box that's filled with Japanese snacks. You always receive five to seven kawaii items in your monthly Doki Doki box, such as stationary, plushies, charms and other awesome miscellaneous items. Each box has a theme, and the box that I got, the August edition, has a 'Back to School' theme.

Inside the box: little magazine that tells you all about the items inside the box & includes some super cute illustrations/comics, Petit Lapin Silicone Charm, Hoppe-Chan & Doki Doki Friends Washi Tape, Hoppe-Chain & Doki Doki Friends Stickers, Sumikko Gurashi Notebook, Chocolate Dipped Biscuit Pen, Homeroom Bear ID Holder,  Hoppe-Chan Pencil Case & Rilakkuma t-shirt (I couldn't get the t-shirt to look nice in this photo with the rest of the items, so keep scrolling to see it haha).

A pencil case is always a necessity in any 'Back to School' bundle so I wasn't surprised to find this cute case hiding at the bottom of the box. The Hoppe-Chan cat character is super cute, especially with those paws, and I like the paw prints and strawberries scattered around it. It's not really big enough for me to put all of my stationary in, so I will probably use it some day as a make-up pouch. Although, it's both useful and has a cute design, I have to admit that I don't really think it's the best quality and I'm not a huge fan of the material it's made from. Apparently you get a Hoppe-Chan item in your box every month, so it would be quite interesting to see what other Hoppe-Chan items they will add in future boxes.

As a sticker lover, I'm always happy to add more stickers to my collection so I was really happy when I found these Hoppe-Chan & Doki Doki friends stickers in my August box. I like using these kinds of stickers ('raised'/3D) for decorating the envelopes for my snailmail, as they are pretty sturdy. I'm also chuffed to receive this pen, it's really pretty! It's pale pink and has a little flower pattern on it as well as a squiggley line which is supposed to resemble chocolate on a fancy Pocky-like snack. I love Pocky so I can't not love this pen! If you don't know what Pocky are, they are Japanese snacks similar to those Mikado chocolate sticks we can buy here in the UK.

Doki Doki by Japan Crate, Rilakkuma t-shirt,

This t-shirt is adorable! It features the San-X characters Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma, and I love the Japanese writing on it. The only downside to this t-shirt is that the website only let me order up to a size Large, and even though it's a decent-sized Large and I can probably use it as a PJ top, it's a little annoying that Doki Doki Crate didn't cater for or consider it's plus sized subscribers.

I was over the moon to get such a lovely notebook in my Doki Doki Crate. It's so so cute, with all of those sleeping kawaii Sumikko Gurashi characters on. I love how bright the cover of this notebook is, which has been printed onto a see-through, acetate or whatever it's called, page :) I was impressed with the quality of the paper inside the notebook, and it has cream pages which I LOVE! It also has the design from the front cover printed in the bottom right corner of each page, and the lines on the pages are orange which is something I've not seen before so it makes a nice change. This notebook is definitely my favourite item in the box.

I like having lots of different tape in my washi tape collection so that I always have something to match a theme or colour scheme I'm doing in my crafty projects or snailmail. It was awesome to get a pack of five washi tapes, even though it doesn't look a great quality. It has some sweet characters on, and the best one in my opinion is the purple tape with black cats and paws on it. I think it would be cool to use around Halloween.

This adorable fluffy plushie was the first item to greet me when I opened my Doki Doki crate. It's a exclusive item too, which is wonderful! It's such a sweet little product, which Japanese students would use at school. I assume that a homeroom with something like what we called form at my high school, where you get your attendance registered in the morning and are given any important announcements. It would have been awesome to have this item when I was a uni because I totally would have rocked it on my bag with my student card in! Oh, and it's really soft too.

How cute is this charm!? I love it so much! It's the last item that I got inside my new kawaii subscription box. It's called Petit Lapin, meaning little rabbit in French, and is literally a tiny bunny hiding inside a macaron. It has the sweetest little ears and a tail, so it's impossible for me not to be in love with this charm. I really like the pink diamantes on it's cheeks, too, and it's my second favourite item after the notebook.

I'm a huge fan of the packaging of this subscription box. I mean, look at it... it's pink and is covered in the most lovely kawaii illustrations! The little wings reminded me instantly of the anime 'Cardcaptor Sakura' that I used to watch when I was a kid. It's a shame that shipping is pricey from America, otherwise I'd be tempted to subscribe to it for a year as I did with the Kawaii Box. I paid just over £20 for the Doki Doki box itself, and £12-ish for the shipping. I'm gonna get one more box just to see if it's worth the price, so look out for that next month :)

Thankyou for reading!
