January Wishlist

Hello lovelies :) If you are a regular reader of my blog, you'll know that I've been having a tough time at the moment with my mental health and that my blog posts have been very scarce over the last month. I am finally starting to feel in a better place again, and I thought it was about time I shared something with you guys! I hope you all had an awesome weekend, and that you enjoy reading through my January wishlist.

January Wishlist

1. Deaths Head Moth Necklace by Curiology I have been lusting over this brand's jewellery for a while now. I absolutely love the look and design of this moth necklace. Deaths Head Moths appeal to the horror fan in me and instantly make me think of the incredible movie, The Silence of the Lambs. I used to be terrified of moths, until I got into nature photography as a hobby and realised just how beautiful they were close up. I recently got a bat neckace that had a similar design and I would love to add more like it to my collection, starting with this moth necklace.

2. Baby Beaver Cross Body Handbag How adorable is this bag!? Although, it's clearly a Sea Otter? Come on Grindstore! I bought a Sloth bag from Attitude Clothing a couple of months ago that was pretty similar to this and I think it's awesome that there are different animals available. I will never have enough cute, novelty shoulder bags. I think the bright yellow star is a lovely addition to the design, adding a little colour to the bag.

3. Lush 'Lovestruck' Bathbomb I am a massive Lush fan as my readers will know by now. I am a lover of bathbombs in general (that's all I ever seem to post on my instagram anyway!), and the ones made by Lush are a firm favourite of mine. I think it's so awesome how Lush take advantage of different special occassions and release themed products. The Valentine's range is lovely, especially this heart-eyed emoji one. The fact that one of the ingredients is lemon makes me want it even more because citrus scents are great!

4. Wrendale Squirrel Magnetic Shopping Pad Wrendale have some of the most beautiful animal illustrations that I've ever seen; they are so nice. I go through a lot of list pads because I'm seriously list-obsessed, so I'm always on the look out for pretty list pads. I love this one because of the squirrel, which immediately makes me think of the character by Beatrix Potter, Squirrel Nutkin (forever my favourite of the stories).  What's your favourite Beatrix Potter story/character?

5. Pro Cats Pro Choice Enamel Pin As a pin badge collector, I come across new pins online that I want almost everyday! I've spotted this lovely little pin by Punky Pins around instagram a lot and I would be so happy to add it to my collection. Punky Pins make such awesome badges and patches... you need to check them out if you haven't already!

6. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream I first heard of NYX cosmetics whilst watching Ru Paul's Drag Race and I have been curious about trying it for myself after since. Quite a few of my favourite vloggers on Youtube use NYX lipsticks and I've seen some really pretty shades. The ones I want the most right now are 'Transylvannia', 'Madrid', 'Copenhagen', 'Berlin' and 'Budapest'. How awesome that they are named after cities too! I'm impressed that are only £5.50 each too. Has anyone used this NYX lipstick before? Please let me know what you thought in the comments :)

7.  Colton Candles 'Large Candy Floss' Over the last month or so, I've been trying to practice a lot more self care in a bid to uplift my mood and to relax. One of my favourite things to do to cheer myself up is to have a nice, long bath. I always use a bathbomb, pop on my spotify playlist and light candles. By candles, I mean a ridiculous amount of them! haha meaning that I've done through so many candles lately and I am in need of some new ones. I thought this would be the perfect time to try some new brands out, and one of those is Colton Candles. I love how pretty the packaging is and I am interested to see what this Candy Floss candle smells like! I've never used soy candles before either so that's another reason why I would love to try this candle.

8. Red & Black Tattoo Flocked Dress I love that Yours Clothing has been stocking Hell Bunny clothes for a few months now. I have always loved Hell Bunny's dresses and it's nice that they are available in a variety of plus sizes. There's a few dresses that I am after from the Hell Bunny collection at Yours Clothing right now, however this year one of my aims is to wear more colours that I would normally be too nervous to wear. I would love to challenge myself to wear a red dress, as I usually go for black or dark shades. I love the ribbons on this dress too!

Thankyou for reading!

December Doki Doki Box

Happy Sunday Everyone! I'm yet again sorry for my serious lack of posts lately! The start of the year came with non-stop bad mental health days, a fibromyalgia flare that has refused to go away, and my insomnia has been relentless. My anxiety was getting increasily worse the more I stressed over not having the energy or motivation to blog. I'd look at my blogging to do lists that I write up at the end of each previous month, and really beat myself up emotionally for not having completed it. I decided half way through the month to just let things take their course, to not panic over my blog, and to just post something whenever I could. So that's why I haven't been around much. Thankyou to my wonderful blogger friends for still tagging me in Friday Follows on twitter and for checking up on me! You're all stars

Last month, I received the most adorable Doki Doki Box! I absolutely loved the December box; it was filled with such lovely items. It was the first anniversary of the launch of the Doki Doki Box by Japan Crate and so the box included a mix of Christmas themed items and also items to celebrate the anniversary. All subscribers were sent a scratch card, which would either reveal a 50% off code for the Japan Crate website or a special prize. I thought this was a super cute idea! I won the money off code to use on items from the previous Doki Doki boxes. So without further ado, keep reading to see what I got inside my December Box :) Enjoy!

As a plushie fan, it's always nice to receive kawaii little plushies inside subscription boxes. December subscribers of the Doki Doki Box were sent one of two available plushies of 'Homeroom Bear' characters, Calvin & Coco. They are such adorable bears! I received Calvin, who was my preferred of the plushies you could be sent. I love that he's a bright yellow colour. I love stationery, and I especially love quirky pens, so I was happy to find the fluffy pom pom pen in my box last month. I think it fits in the Christmas theme as it reminds me of a snowball. The only thing that's kind of annoying is that the pen is tall and so I don't think it's going to fit into standard-sized pencil cases.

Yayy! I was over the moon to receive some Amuse items! I am a major fangirl of this Japanese brand. They create the cutest plushies ever, such as the iconic Alpacasso ones (check out some of my Amuse plush collection here). One of the items is an official Amuse item, however I think the other item is made by Japan Crate. Either way, it's still adorable so I'm glad to have received it! The Doki Doki item is the mini Loppy squeaker. I love squeakers! I'm sure my family are not happy about that fact though because they can be irritating as hell, haha. They have described this item as a stress reliever, something similar to a stress-ball. I've never thought of it before but they are good at making you feel less stressed in a way. It's impossible not to love a tiny rabbit figure :)

As for the Pote USA Loppy eco bag, I LOVE IT! I have always thought that bags/raincoats/etc., that come inside little pouches that are easy to store in your handbag were cool! This item would have really come in handy when I was university for shopping or laundry. It's so pretty too!

How gorgeous is this charm!? Each month, you get a charm of the adorable rabbit character Hoppe Chan, that's designed to match the theme of the box. I am never disappeared with these charms. They are always so detailed, with lots of little intricate parts. I am also lovin' how they've been designed as a cupcake for the last few months boxes. On this charm, I like the shimmery/glittery look of the frosting and the tiny pearl beads adorning it, as well as the lovely red bow on Hoppe's head.

OH MY GOSH GUYS, JUST LOOK AT THOSE PAW PRINT GLOVES! They are my favourite item in the entire box and maybe in all of the boxes I've received so far too; I have wanted some of these gloves for ages now! They are the cutest gloves ever, and the material they are made from is really soft. They feel so cosy inside too. I like that they are fingerless gloves because I can still do stuff properly whilst wearing them... I'm clumsy enough when I'm not wearing gloves, dropping stuff all the time, so when I put normal gloves on I might as well have oil all over my hands or something! haha, everything slips out of my hand. Plus when I'm wearing gloves and I pick certain things up, it goes through me because of the wool texture. Does anyone else experience this? So I usually buy fingerless gloves that have those little pouches so you can cover your fingers if you have to. My new paw print gloves are the best ever!

I think the daily organiser is fantastic! It's small enough to carry around quite easily in a bag, so even if you already own a fancy planner like a Filofax or something, you can just use this organiser for when you're out and about to have handy with important dates and such. It has ring binders inside so you could add in extra thing, such as to do lists or shopping lists. The kawaii Mount Fuji on the cover of the organiser is so sweet, and the pages inside are even more adorable... all different colours and have cute characters on the month-on-two-pages inserts. Something that I personally love too is that the organiser is in Japanese. I can already speak the days of the week in Japanese, but I cannot write them so this organiser is going to be a great way for me to learn!

My second favourite item in the December box is the adorable mameshiba mini plushie/cellphone cleaner. It's designed in the same style as a Disney Tsum Tsum, which I'm obsessed with so how could I not love it!? 'Mameshiba' basically translates to bean dog in English, named so because it's a tiny, round dog. The dog is a Shiba Inu and I absolutely love this breed! The little red scarf that it's wearing is too cute!

Overall, I was really happy with my December Doki Doki Box; it included such fabulous items, and now I'm so looking forward to my next one!

Thankyou for reading!

Which was your favourite item in this box, and why?

Tokidoki x Lovehoney Mini Vibe | Review

Hey everyone! As you all know, I am slightly *cough*alot*cough* obsessed with everything kawaii. Well, this love of kawaii extends into all areas of my life- kitchenware, bathroom/hygiene essentials, stationery, and also in the bedroom. Yep, I even love kawaii sex toys! If you've followed my blog for a while, you'll know that I'm a huge fan of Italian kawaii brand, Tokidoki. I have a big collection of their stationery, own several of their plushies and am an avid collector of their vinyl figures. So as you can imagine, when one of my friends brought the recent Tokidoki X Lovehoney collection to my attention, I had a mighty need to add some into my life! (My friends know me so well, haha). Today's post is going to be all about one of the adorable sex toys from this collection, which you can check out here. If my bank account would have permitted, I'd have ordered one of everything, especially the unicorno wand! Oh my gosh, you seriously need to have a look at it! I'm pretty impressed with my kawaii mini vibe, and I hope that you all enjoy reading about it.

First of all, I was really happy with the packaging of this item. As you can see from the photo above, it's decorated with such adorable characters; I'm especially lovin' the little Lovehoney devil. How cute! The packaging says Series 1, which of course makes me super excited at the prospect of more Tokidoki sex toys in the future. The description on the back of the packaging was another lovely element. It reads... 'Release your hidden rainbow energy with sunshine, sparkles and a joyful treasure from the tokidoki pleasure collection. Take a trip behind the magic waterfall and discover a wonderful world of starry-skied pleasure. The powerful vibrations make for marvellous magical moments'. I absolutely love the fairytale esque imagery that the description creates. I'm going to forever refer to sexual pleasure as rainbow energy now! I mean, what is more magical than the feelings of ecstacy that come from sexual pleasure!?

I decided to purchase a mini vibe from the collection, mostly because I'm a fan of bullet vibrators but also because the product was only £12.99. I was impressed with the price as it was similar to the standard mini vibes available on the Lovehoney website. With the Tokidoki mini vibe coming in six different designs, it was a challenge to choose which one to get. I eventually opted for the one which I thought was the cutest. My order arrived super quick, I've always received my purchases promptly when I've ordered from Lovehoney in the past.

As soon as I opened up the parcel, I was in awe at just how incredibly adorable the design of this bullet vibe was! It's so vibrant and colourful, and I was glad to see that the print was great quality and that there were no printjob errors. I love the bright yet simplistic design of this item. It looks fabulous!

I have to admit that I was definitely a little dubious about whether the material/casing of the vibe would be in perfect condition because I've purchased similar items from Lovehoney before that had damage to the tip of the vibe. The tip of the bullets had actually been rough and not the standard that I would want to use. However, the company were always very helpful and quick to send me out a replacement so I cannot fault them on customer service :) I was pleased to find that my new Tokidoki vibe had no such problem, and was manufactured to an excellent standard.

The silicon material/casing of the vibe has such a lovely, smooth finish. It feels awesome! The area were the mini vibe unscrews so that a battery can be added is smooth too. 10/10 for the design of the vibe from me. The size of the Tokidoki X Lovehoney mini vibe is great too; it's big enough to suit it's purpose but not small enough so you struggle to keep hold of it when you're using it. Oh, and just a note: the battery is not included, which is a little annoying.

I was curious about how strong the Tokidoki X Lovehoney mini vibe would be, since it only has a single speed VS other similar items I have that have 3+ different speed options. I was pleasantly surprised at the strength of this vibrator. It's pretty intense for such a small toy! It is a fantastic item and I can't recommend it enough. Another point that's important to mention is the sound- how quiet is this mini vibe? It definitely isn't the most silent of vibrators, so I'd suggest playing some music if you don't live alone, haha!

Overall, I was really happy with this product and I'm very tempted to collect all of the designs as the packaging encourages :) My kawaii obsession now extends to my sex life, so thanks Lovehoney for collaborating with Tokidoki to bring us this wonderful collection of toys!

Thankyou for reading!

What do you think of the Tokidoki mini vibe? Do you want one of your own?
