Primark Holler and Glow Unicorn Bath Fizzer | Review

Hey guys! I hope you all had a marvellous weekend, whatever you got up to! I spent it in typical cold season fashion, by staying indoors, in bed or wrapped up in blankets, complaining about how cold it is and how dark it's getting so early in the day! I've never felt more stereotypically British than I do in Autumn/Winter :D haha! This time of year is the perfect excuse to have lots of baths VS showers (although personally I struggle to stand up for long periods of time in the shower so baths it is for me all year round, #SpoonieProblems), which means it's also the perfect opportunity to use fun bath products! And that brings me onto today's topic! 

Back in October, I went out shopping with my mom and I picked up a few goodies from Primark, including a bath product that caught my eye because of how colourful it was! I have never tried any of the bath products by Primark, but I thought I'd give them a go considering Primark's makeup seems to have a lot of good reviews. I wanted to see if their bath products matched up to those that I have tried from other brands, and so I picked up the 'Holler and Glow' bath fizzer. I mean, how could I resist trying it out when it's so pretty!? Anyhow, I hope you all enjoy reading my review :) 

As you can see, the Holler and Glow/Rainbow Chaser bath fizzer looks amazing!! The bright colours are what first grabbed my attention, before I even realised the fizzer was shaped like a unicorn head! I am a sucker for novelty shaped things, I don't know why but they make me like a product so much more! Who else feels the same? I thought at only £2 I couldn't walk away from the product, since I was so curious about whether the colours would 'disperse' in a similar way to a bathbomb, or whether they were just to make the product look pretty. I am a big fan of bathbombs that make gorgeous bathart and I am always looking for cheaper products that do the same, because I already spend too much at Lush XD 

I have to admit that I use bathbombs a lot more than bath fizzers, and the two work a lot differently when added to water. Fizzers are usually smaller and less pricey, they don't have a very strong scent as far as I have experienced, and they don't really do much to the water after the initial reaction. They typically dissolve very quickly, making them fizz a lot, hence the name, whereas bathbombs are designed to dissolve slowly. Thus giving them time to release more colours and fragrance into the bath, and are fun to watch slowly working their magic around you as you soak! Regardless, I haven't seen many bath fizzers as colourful as this Primark one so I was very intrigued about whether we'd get more bathart than is typical for these products. 

Something that I really liked about this product, aside from the fact it looks so lovely, was the size of it! It is a chunky thing, which is another reason why I was hoping it was going to be different to a standard bath fizzer (having more space to layer up the contents inside the fizzer with colouring and oils, etc). How aesthetically pleasing is the Holler and Glow/Rainbow Chaser fizzer though!? The shape and design of it resembles an emoji so much, and I just love it!! I like to fill all areas of my life with cuteness, so I'm especially a lover of adorable bath products. I wish that more bathbombs/fizzers were designed in novelty shapes, instead of the usual spherical shape.

So, how did it work out when I used it? Did it meet my expectations? 

The answer to the latter is both yes and no! 

Like I mentioned before, I know that bath fizzers are a lot less exciting when compared to bathbombs so even though I was curious about this one in particular because of how bright it was, I was still pretty sure that that wouldn't matter, that it would still react in the same way that any bath fizzer does. When I first put it into the bath, there was a lot of colour 'bleeding' out of the fizzer, and it did look very cool! However to really see this you had to be holding the bath fizzer in your hand. It is a weighty product that would sink to the bottom of the tub and the colours coming out of it would be more muted by the time they bubbled to the surface of the water. The Holler and Glow/Rainbow Chaser dissolved pretty quickly and fizzled a lot, causing lots of bubbles as it went! I do like this about bath fizzers because it makes a change from bathbombs and when it only cost £2, it's not too bad that it didn't last very long. 

I also forgot to mention the fragrance of the bath fizzer, and that's mostly because it didn't leave a very lasting impression. It was a pleasant scent, which to me was a mixture of fruity and floral fragrances, although I couldn't pinpoint any of the specific scents. It was a little annoying that the scent wasn't written anywhere on the packaging, especially because if you don't like a particular scent, you want to be able to avoid buying products that smell of it. Like myself when it comes to Lavender! The smell didn't release any more once the product was in the water, and it did not linger so this product is designed for its look rather than its fragrance, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I know a lot of people who are very sensitive to strong fragrances and so prefer to opt for milder scented products. I think this would be a good option for them. 

It was difficult to get any decent photographs of how the bath fizzer actually looked in the water because the reactions were pretty subtle. Despite the packaging saying 'Drop the fizzer into a warm bath and watch it swirl, melt and fizz leaving a trail of unicorn magic behind', the colours that came from the fizzer were pale and cloudy rather than vibrant. To be honest, nothing much happened, but after the fizzer had completely melted, the bath water was a pale shade of purpley-blue for a while. This didn't last long at all though! 

Overall, I wasn't expecting the fizzer to do much, and my expectations were met, however it was still a fun product! I wasn't disappointed because it was not expensive and it still makes bath-time a little more interesting, which is always a bonus for me because baths are not the most easy thing to do when you have a chronic pain condition. The look of the product is gorgeous and so that made up for some of the shortcomings in performance. I do think that this product would be great for children, and would be good to gift as a stocking filler this Christmas :) I'm considering picking up some for my nieces as a little extra something. It hasn't discouraged me from trying more Primark bath products, and I'm wondering now if they sell bathbombs because I've never seen them if they do.... does anyone know if they do?

Bomb Cosmetics Sir Fizzalot Bathbomb Review | Blogmas #17

Hi guys! Today has been one of those days for me that go by super fast! I'm stressed at the moment so that probably doesn't help matters, but yeah it's pretty much been a bit of a blur. It's not been a super eventful day, but a hectic one. It's the day when all of my family are here for roast dinner, and so there's people everywhere and I just don't usually get much done on a Sunday. One thing I did do though was have a relaxing bath once everyone had gone home and tried out a new bathbomb from Bomb Cosmetics. And so I thought I'd let everyone know what I think of it :) Enjoy! 

When I was shopping for Christmas presents for my loved ones, I spotted this adorable bathbomb and had a mighty need to add it to my shopping cart, haha! The sweet little moustache face alone made me want one for myself, but when I saw that it was called Sir Fizzalot, I couldn't resist! What a cute name!! 

Whenever I've purchased a blue bathbomb from Bomb Cosmetics, it's always made my bath water the loveliest shade. The colour is always very strong and so they are my go-to bathbombs from them! I'm a big fan of colourful baths, that's really the only reason I get bathbombs... the scents for me are just an added bonus! This one's fragrance is peppermint and spearmint, which is right up my street. I love mint, both the taste and the smell, and so I was looking forward to finding out how good this bathbomb would smell too! You can find the product here. How adorable is the description for this bathbomb though!? 'This fearless fine fellow is the man of the moment! Bringing his gallant & heroic efforts full with Spearmint and Peppermint essential oils you'll be Bomb's noble warrior! To Battle!!'. 

So here's what Sir Fizzalot looks like when submerged into your bath... 

Look how vibrant the blue shade is! I think it looks gorgeous, like a tropical lagoon :) However, with the swirls of white that the 'fluffy' part on top of the bathbomb creates, it has a Winter Wonderland vibe to it! This colour combination always makes me think of snowflakes or an Ice Queen's palace! Since Disney's Frozen came out, blue & white together also remind me of the song Let It Go, which I'm gonna have to listen to now that I've mentioned it! :D What does it make you think of? There's never much bath art when it comes to Bomb Cosmetics bathbombs, or at least none of the ones I've bought have made any, but the pigmentation of the colours in many of their 'bath blasters' have been great! The blue and white colours make it a perfect bathbomb for this time of year in my opinion, so it would make a perfect Christmas gift too, or even something that you could buy yourself to use on Christmas Eve! 

As for the scent of the bathbomb, it wasn't very strong in my opinion. The bathbomb itself smelt lovely, just the right amount so that it made my drawer smell great but it was not overpowering! However once it was in the water, I couldn't really smell the mint anymore which is a shame if you get bathbombs for their fragrance. My skin usually smells like whatever bathbomb I've used for a few hours after I get out of the bath, but all I can smell right now is my coconut oil shower gel. I don't know if it just wasn't strong enough for me because I'm used to using Lush bathbombs more and they are always really scented! Intergalactic is my favourite bathbomb from Lush and it smells like mint, so that could be the reason why I didn't find the scent of Sir Fizzalot to be very good. If anyone else has used this bathbomb for themselves, I'd love to hear what your opinions on the intensity of the smell are :) 

Another thing that I'd like to note is the differences between the product photo and the bathbomb I received with my order. Although some products never look as good as the photograph on the website, I still want them to be very similar in design. All of the other bathbombs that I ordered along with Sir Fizzalot look more true to their photo, however he wasn't blue and white striped like I would have hoped. When I first spotted him on their website, he reminded me of a snowman with a mustachio, and I so I thought he'd be great for Christmas Time. I mean he's still super cute, but with him being all blue he just looks exactly the same as another Bomb Cosmetics bathbomb I've used before. It's like they made a 'Pool Party bath blaster', took the duck off the top and put a moustache on instead (especially since they both made the bath the same colour too)... you can read my review of the Pool Party bathbomb here and see for yourself what I mean. It's not a huge deal or anything, but it is kind of annoying. 

Overall, Sir Fizzalot was a pretty awesome bathbomb and it was fun watching my bath turn into a (somewhat) icy shade of blue! I would still recommend him even though the spearmint & peppermint scent wasn't very strong, especially for people who are very sensitive to strong scents and get a headache from them easily. The creamy 'fluff' on top of the bathbomb always helps to make the water soft and feel really nice against your skin, which is lovely and relaxing! I think Sir Fizzalot did a very gallant job of making my bath feel winter-esque :D Let me know if you get a little moustachioed bath blaster for yourself guys; I'd love to hear your opinions!

Lush Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb Review | Blogmas #1

Happy Friday guys! Woohoo, today officially marks the first day of Christmas for many people. including myself. It's not that I'm not excited sooner, it's just that I love Halloween and I like to leave all of my decorations up for a little longer than needed haha! The beginning of December means that it's time to get the tree and decorations up soon, to get into the festive spirit, to play your favourite Christmas songs loud and have a good sing along, and to start the hectic rush to finish gathering all of your presents to pop under the tree! (Unless you are super organised and therefore amazing! Please, give me your secret!!). I mentioned on my previous post that I would be taking part in Blogmas, a challenge where bloggers aim to share a post every single day of this month. For today's entry from me, I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on my first ever Lush jelly bomb! I picked it up a while ago and it's been so tough to hold off using it, but I wanted to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas period with a festive-themed bath. So earlier today, I gave myself some very much needed TLC and soaked for a while with the 'Snow Fairy' jelly bomb. I hope that you enjoy reading all about it! 

I was really curious about what these latest Lush creations would be like. I've had my eyes on the Snow Fairy one and also the 'Dark Arts' Harry Potter inspired one for a while now, but I just had to choose the Snow Fairy one when I was in store because it smelt seriously so good! I have been after some of Snow Fairy products for ages and I'm a little sad that they no longer sell the dusting powder of this fragrance in little bottles anymore! I thought I'd treat myself to the jelly bomb instead so I can still enjoy the scent at least :) I am a big fan of sweet smells, and the Snow Fairy bathbomb contains what the Lush website lists as 'synthetic musk' with notes of 'bubblegum' and 'candy floss' and not much else. To me, I can definitely smell the candy floss and also marshmallow, maybe even subtle hints of vanilla too. Have you ever smelt any of the Snow Fairy Lush products? If so, what would you describe it as? Essentially though, it just makes your bathroom and you smell like a sweet shop! 

The description for the Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb on the Lush website is... 'Sail away on a bubblegum sea in a boat made of candy floss and fairy dust. Get in the bath and cast this jelly bomb into the water, watching clouds of skin softening jelly swirl around you like enchanted snow drifts. Soak in the sweet pink waters and float away to Neverland'. How dreamy is that description though!? It sounds very fairytale-esque, I love it!!

Something I love about the Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb is that it's such a pretty colour! I knew that the bath art it created would be pink, but I was wowed by just how much pink there actually was! It looked fabulous and was very similar to any other Lush bathbomb to be honest. I didn't have a clue what the Jelly element would be in this bath product range, and I was actually a little nervous that it would create a layer of weird, smile-like stuff on top of the water. Not because I don't want to play in jelly because that sounds super fun, it's just that my OCD has always caused me to dislike the feel of certain textures, and it would be too late to do much about it once I'd gotten into the water... other than get out of course, but I wanted a relaxing bath so it would have sucked to have to go through the whole filling-up-the-bath process again. 

I hadn't read the description on the Lush product page before using the Jelly Bomb so it was a surprise for me to discover that there wasn't too much Jelly at all inside these bathbombs, and as the Snow Fairy dissolved, it left a few bright pink 'blobs' around the top of the water. On one hand, I am happy about that because of what I mentioned about my concern over the texture, but it could also have been disappointing for someone else using the product expecting lots of jelly to play about in. I did think that there was going to be more myself! One thing that I really liked about this Jelly Bomb thought was that when all of the little bits of jelly had fizzled away, what was left was bath water with a lovely, silky smooth texture to it that actually felt really nice on my skin. I really liked this about the product and it's made me want to try another! Anyhow, I think it's about time that I showed you the bath art that the Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb creates... 

Just as the Lush website described there was certainly a 'cloud' effect with all of the swirls of white. The little pink specs that you can see, especially in the photograph above are jelly, all of the darker hot-pink coloured things are jelly and the rest of the pink is just like the colouration that you get from a standard Lush bathbomb. It made a gorgeous-looking bath that's for sure, and after all of the 'art' had faded away, you were left with pink water which is always wonderful. I didn't get any photographs of that stage because my bathroom was filling up with steam making it difficult to get clear photographs, plus I didn't want to end up damaging my camera. 

In my opinion, the Snow Fairy jelly bath bomb does live up to it's description, all of those swirly pale and dark pink patterns with whirls of 'fluffy' white to make me think of candy mountains and sweet-filled wonderlands, which I would definitely feature in my own Neverland fairytale. My fabulous friend Aaron describes the bath art as looking like 'raspberry ripple ice-cream' and it totally does!

The jelly aspect was an interesting experience and I now want to try some other Jelly Bombs to see how they compare. I love the smell so so much! It lasted for a very long time in the bathroom, and it left my skin smelling yummy! It had me wishing that Lush made candles because I neeeed this fragrance around me at all times :) 

I'm going to have to buy another of these to stock up for after the Christmas season because it's lovely and I'm kind of sad that mine has now gone, even though I had a lovely bath, ft. snowflake cookie Yankee Candles, plus vanilla and macadamia body wash that smells heavenly! Lush Monsters' Ball Bath Bomb | Review

Hello lovelies! I realised the other day that apart from my weekly Spoopy Unboxings, I hadn't shared any further Halloween themed posts with you all yet this October. Last year, I took part in Blogtober (sharing a post every day!), so it feels a little strange that this year my blog has not been filled with spooky topics so far this month! I am determined to change that during these last few days leading up to Halloween. Omgosh, Halloween is so close now! I wanted to start off by sharing with you all my thoughts on one of the bathbombs from Lush's Halloween range. I included Monsters' Ball in the Lush Halloween haul that I posted last October, so this time around I wanted to talk more about what it's actually like! I hope you enjoy reading, and let me know which Lush Halloween products you've used before in the comments :) 

Upon first sight, this bathbomb definitely screams Halloween! It's so eye-catching with it's bold colouration and the singular big eye right in the centre of it's face. Plus it's so spoopy! I love how cute it looks, and the bright purpley-pink and blue shades make you instantly know that this bathbomb is going to create some gorgeous bath art. That's one of the reasons, if not the main reason, that Lush is my go-to for bathbombs... because of all that glorious bath art that some of their range create when added to your bath. I was very impressed with this bathbomb last year and so I couldn't not get another! I just adore Lush's festive releases, and I look forward to finding out if there's anything new available each year. Although, that doesn't mean that I don't like the classics like Monsters' Ball because well there's a reason why they keep coming back! 

Just look how awesome this guy looks!? Monsters' Ball is certainly a photogenic bathbomb! Being really pretty though isn't the only thing that makes me enjoy this bathbomb so much though. It smells amazing, in my opinion! However I'm probably biased because I'm a big fan of citrus scents. They are really refreshing and I love the way my skin smells even after I've gotten out of the bath and dried myself off. The description on the Lush website for Monsters' Ball is... 'Eye spy with this little eye something beginning with BOO! This monster mash-up of lime and neroli oils is a sure fire way to get the party started. Toss into a hot bath and watch it go. Olibanum oil relaxes and leaves you feelin' Franken-fine all night long'. First of all, how bloody brilliant is that description!? I love the introductory line! I'm also gonna keep saying I'm feelin Franken-fine all night on Halloween XD 

So, I won't keep you all waiting any longer! Here are some photographs of how epic your bath will look once you've added a Monsters' Ball bathbomb in there! 

Look how gorgeous the colours that fill your bath are!! 

Because it had been so long since I'd used my first Monsters' Ball bathbomb, even I got a lovely surprise! I couldn't remember just how amazing the bath art this product made was! I'm always impressed with how the colours spread through the water with Lush bathbombs, no matter how many times I've used them. I buy the 'Intergalactic' one all the time as it's my favourite from their year-round products, and yet I am still fascinated each and every time I watch it swirl across the surface of the water, and as I see all of the colours expanding throughout the bathtub.

With the Monsters' Ball, you first see a mix of different shades of pink, both light and dark, as well as a little blue from the ears? of the Monster. It's one of those bathbombs that starts dissolving pretty fast so it isn't long before the colours trapped inside the centre of the product are released, and then your water is filled with a vibrant blue! You are left with an array of colours, blue, white and pink that remind me more of a sci-fi scene than a Halloween one. Maybe it should be called Aliens' Ball instead!

I totally forgot to get a photograph of the water after all of the bath art had fizzled away, but you can sort of see the colour in the photograph above. The water remained the most gorgeous shade of purple with little bits of glitter floating around. This shade was so so nice, and was that shade of purple that is always associated with Halloween, if that makes sense! There's always lots of decorations in this purple shade, and I absolutely love it! It made me feel like I was sitting in a tub of witches brew or something, haha! I always find that with Lush bathbombs, the water colour stays strong throughout, despite me adding shampoo, condition and bodywash into it, which is fabulous!

Overall, I think this bathbomb is fantastic and it's one of those seasonal products that I wish were available to buy all year. I'm going to be stocking up on a few of them whilst they are still available, that's for sure! Have you ever used this bathbomb before? I'd love to hear what your personal opinions of it are! Bomb Cosmetics 'Pool Party' Bathbomb | Review

Hi lovelies! I was over the moon the other day when my sister surprised me with a new bathbomb; thanks Nicole! She bought me the super adorable 'Pool Party' bathbomb from Bomb Cosmetics. I absolutely Bomb Cosmetics; they make such  pretty bathbombs which they call 'Bath Blasters', and bathmelts too plus an array of other products. Read about my last haul from them here. I really enjoyed the 'Pool Party' bathbomb! It might be one of my favourite bathbombs ever so I just had to share a review of it for you all. Enjoy! 

I want to start off by saying how much I LOVE the design of this bathbomb! It's sooooo cute. The little duck on top is actually made of plastic so you get a free duckie that is left floating in your bath after the bathbomb dissolves away. I think this is such a sweet idea! One of the reasons why I love Bomb Cosmetics products, mostly their bathbombs since I am a big fan of bathbombs vs other bath products, is because of how lovely their designs are. They are colourful and it just looks like there's a lot of thought been put into the presentation. Many of their bathbombs are food-themed, so they have products that are decorated to resemble cupcakes or desserts. I like that the white 'cream' on top of the 'Pool Party' bathbomb reminds me of a cake. 

Another thing that I really like about Bomb Cosmetics bathbomb is that they all come individually wrapped in plastic, which makes them easy to store and transport without getting bathbomb powder everywhere! I don't know about you, but I get this powder everywhere! Haha, I have it all over the bottom of my designated bath products drawer. Oops! The plastic wrapping does make it difficult to smell the bathbombs if you are buying them in a store, and the packaging doesn't tell you what scent to exact by listing the ingredients, etc. This isn't really a problem for me because I usually buy them online, and the website includes a description for each item. 

For the Pool Party Bath Blaster, the website states 'Time for a paddle at the Pool Party! Splash around with scents of Fresh Cotton and Lavender pure essential oils, the fun has only just begun!'.

I didn't expect to like the scent of this bathbomb to be honest when I researched the ingredients on the website, because I'm really not a fan of lavender. However, it turned out to be a really mild scent when mixed with the other ingredients so I could barely make out the lavender fragrance. It actually smelt really nice and refreshing, so it made my bath even more relaxing. It would be a perfect scent for someone who doesn't enjoy strong fruity or floral bathbombs. 

I was really curious about the colour that this bathbomb would make the water change to. I'd had bathbombs before that I was sure would make the bath a strong colour based on the colouration of the product itself, but it either turned the water a different colour to what I expected or didn't 'stain' the water much at all. It always sucks when that happens, and as much as I love Bomb Cosmetics bathbombs and will keep buying them, a lot of their bathbombs don't do much to the water in turns of colour once they have dissolved or make any pretty bath art like you see with Lush bathbombs for example. 

I was very happy to discover that the 'Pool Party' bathbomb turned the water such a strong and gorgeous shade of blue. It was so nice! It make me think of the blue lagoon I saw when I was on holiday on the Island of Corfu. The white 'cream' on top of the bath bomb swirled around the water and then settled on top, which looked lovely when combined with the blue. 

Just look at that shade of blue! It's so beautiful! The scent filled the room too and it was awesome. I was in the bath for a little over an hour and am very happy to report that the colour stayed strong despite having mix in shampoo, condition and body wash into the water. The colour only faded slightly and the scent lasted a long time too. I felt very mermaidy soaking in this bath! I've never had a Bomb Cosmetics bathbomb that made the bath change to such a strong colour, so I will definitely be buying this one again.

Something else that was great about this particular bathbomb was that it didn't leave my skin feeling creamy afterwards. With other Bomb Cosmetics products, I have found that the water feels creamy and whatever the ingredient is that causes this settles on my skin and makes it feel like that too. This might not be a problem for others, but I didn't like it. This one didn't do that. The only thing it left on my skin was a lovely scent :) 

Overall, this bathbomb has made it to my top five; I love it. I'm gonna end up making a little army of rubber ducks! Hell Fury Hex Bomb | Review

Happy Friday lovelies! Since it's Friday 13th, I thought it would be great to share another of the fabulous hex bombs with you all! Today's post is going to be all about the Hellfury hex bomb, which I thought was another brilliant bathbomb. I am super impressed with the quality of hex bombs and they are definitely one of my favourite bathbomb brands. They are seriously fantastic; I definitely recommend them if you haven't tried them for yourself yet. I hope you enjoy reading! 

I first spotted the Hell Fury hex bomb on a video over on instagram and it looked so bloody awesome (haha no pun intended)! The bathbomb was a mixture of red and black which intrigued me, as it incorporated two of the hex bombs that I'd tried previously... the Bathory Bloodbath and the Black As Your Soul bathbombs. These two hex bombs were really cool and so I was super curious to see what the Hellfury would be like. If you've never heard of hex bombs before, they are made by an alternative company called Bella Muerte Clothing. They are so popular that they are often sold out but if you manage to get your hands on one, you will not be disappointed! At only £3 each, they are such good value for money too. So here's a look at the Hell Furyhex bomb... 

The Hell Fury hex bomb was very similar to the 'Bathory Bloodbath' one, making your bath look like it's filled with blood! For someone who's always been a fan of horror movies, vampires and all things strange and spooky, there's just something so epic about having a blood bath! It's so cool! The difference between the Hell Fury hex bomb and the Bathory Bloodbath is that the Hell Fury turns the water a much darker, more crimson shade of red, and as this bathbomb dissolves it releases a layer of black colouring, which looks so awesome mixed in with the red colouring. It definitely made me think of the 'fires of hell' and of molten lava. The Hell Fury hex bomb contains a cherry cupcake fragrant oil, and it smells so good! It reminds me of those haribo cherry gummies, and so I left the bath craving them! Another thing that is fabulous about hex bombs is that the colour stays vibrant throughout the entire bath, and I stay in the bath for a long time. Also, the scent doesn't seem to fade much either. I would love to use this bathbomb again!

I thought I'd also share these photos with you all... just so I can make myself out of be even more strange than I already have on my blog, haha. Something that I cannot resist doing everytime I use a blood-coloured hex bomb is making handprint 'art' on the tiles. I just absolutely love how cool it looks! Who else appreciates thriller aesthetics as much as I do? My best friend gets sent some pretty gory looking snapchats whenever I use these bathbombs; I have too much fun with them! I can't wait to try more of the hex bomb range. I cannot recommend them enough. Let me know what you think of the Hell Fury bathbomb? Have I tempted you to try it? Lush The Comforter Bubble Bar | Review

Happy Monday everyone! Today, I thought I'd share with you all a little review about a Lush Cosmetics product I tried recently. I'd heard so many good things about The Comforter bubble bar, and I'd seen so many pretty photographs of it on instagram that I couldn't resist finally trying it out for myself. Seriously, this bubble bar is so photogenic and smells great! I hope you all enjoy reading. 

How pretty does this bubble bar look!? When I first saw it, it reminded me of something from Outer Space, of the Milky Way, of a bright pink nebula. When I looked at it again when I got home, it made me think of strawberry milkshake too! The bubble bar was so big, you get such a huge chunk for only £4.95. It's definitely great value for money. I decided to chop it up into quarters, so I could test what the bath would look like when using just one quarter as I know lots of people do this to make the most of their bubble bars. 

This bubble bar smelt so amazing! I'm a big fan of sweet scents so The Comforter has now been added to my list of top 10 Lush products. The ingredients include a mix of cassis fruit (black currants), bergamot oil and cypress tree oil. I love citrus scents so it's no wonder that I couldn't stop smelling this bubble bar. I really like the slogan on the Lush website for this product, 'Berry yourself under a fruity blanket'. It just perfectly describes how refreshing and lovely your bath with The Comforter will be. Lush bubble bars are fantastic! They create a bubble bath whilst also making the water change colour. The pink shade that The Comforter made my bath did not disappoint, it felt like I was getting into a bath fit for a fairy princess or something :)  I decided to use both a quarter of the bubble bar and also a half so I could get the best review of the product, to compare any differences there may have been when larger chunks of the bar were used.

I found The Comforter very easy to crumble up under the running tap as opposed to some of the other Lush bubble bars I've used. I preferred using a full half of the bubble bar VS a quarter as there were more bubbles that way, although I found that the pink colour of the water was just as bold no matter which size chunk I crumbled into the water. One thing that I've found about using all Lush bubble bars is that lots of pieces of the bar settle on the bottom of the bath and don't really dissolve, but it's not really a big problem as I just scoop these pieces up and crumble them until they disappear into the water. The pink colouration remained in the water throughout the entire duration of my bath, which I loved but the bubbles didn't. The smell of the water as soon as I got into the bath was so awesome, but this doesn't last too long either. 

Overall, I really enjoyed this bubble bar and I will definitely be buying it again. I hope you all enjoyed reading this review and if you have any other questions about what The Comforter was like, let me know in the comments.
