#30DaysWild | Week 2

Wow, the last week has gone by so quickly! I had a rough start to the week as on Friday I went to the local woods, which is one of my favourite places in my hometown, to bury my beloved leopard gecko Grumpy. It was hard to say goodbye but I'm glad that he's been laid to rest in such beautiful surroundings. My trek through the woodland really took it's toll on my body and caused a fibromyalgia flare, which took several days to calm down. I was in so much pain and struggling to move much, meaning getting out and about anywhere other than my garden was not happening. I was still determined to stick to the Wildlife Trust's 30 Days Wild Challenge though that I started at the beginning of this month. Check out my Week One post to learn a little more about the challenge itself. If you're a fan of nature photography, then this is a post for you! Did you guys know that today is Nature Photography Day? I really love how taking part in this challenge is making it possible for me to do so much nature photography, something that in turn is helping with my mental health :) I encourage everyone to immerse themselves in nature every opportunity they get, because it really does help improve your mental wellbeing. Enjoy reading!

30 Days Wild Challenge

I didn't spend very long outside last Thursday as I was having a bad depression day. I was thinking a lot about the next day and my trip to the woods, and spent most of the day watching shows on Netflix to try and distract myself. I did however spend some time in the garden in the evening with my family, as my nephews were at my house and wanted to play outside. I put out some fat balls for the garden birds and spent some time sitting on the grass relaxing. I spotted some slugs near my little bug house too :) I forgot to take photographs of them though!

30 Days Wild Challenge
How cool is my fat ball holder!? I bought it last year on a holiday to Wales. I love it!

I absolutely love woods! I always feel so at peace whenever I'm surrounded by trees and ferns and scrubs, hearing the birds tweeting and the wind whistling through the leaves. I also love the smell, of pine trees and earth. I love hearing twigs crunching under my shoes too, and how there's always something to see everywhere, so many little details. I've also adore moss :) It was a bittersweet trip... the reason for my journey was an emotional one, yet it was also nice to spend time in such a stunning place. The woods in my hometown is called Sunnyhurst Woods; I think it's a lovely name. Usually when I visit the woods, I walk through a different part than the one I went through on Friday so that was an interesting change. Me and my mom trekked up the steeper paths at the top of the woods. We got to see some sights that were nostalgic for me, as my dad used to take me walking along them when I was a kid.

I was sad that I missed the bluebells, however I saw some pretty yellow Iris' and a variety of pink and white wild flowers. Lots of pine-cones too! I regret not bringing any home with me now to decorate around my bug house in the garden, as they are the perfect little hideouts for tiny insects. When I was in the woods, I spotted a couple of Red Admiral Butterflies (Vanessa atalanta) and I was over the moon! I hadn't seen any for what felt like ages and last year, I didn't manage to get a photo of the two I saw. I was very happy that I managed to photograph them this time! Prepare for lots of photos as I'm finding it impossible to narrow down a few favourites, haha

Obviously I took a ridiculous amount of photographs containing moss :D

30 Days Wild Challenge
Casually feeling the moss, haha!

30 Days Wild Challenge
I was very relieved when we stumbled across this giant fallen tree to sit on and rest for a while :) There have recently been a few trees cut down and so we had the most gorgeous view over the woods and could even see Darwen Tower up on the moors in the distance!
Also known as the Jubilee Tower, Darwen Tower was built in 1898 for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. It sits on the moors overlooking my hometown. On the clear day, you can see for miles and miles from the top of the tower :)
30 Days Wild Challenge
Found a nice spot close to this tree to lay my lizard to rest with lots of garden flowers, some pretty seashells and a purple heart-shaped gemstone
30 Days Wild Challenge

Red Admiral Butterfly
It was a challenge to finally get some decent photographs of this gorgeous Red Admiral, as it kept flying off everytime I got close or because it was being chased away by another Red Admiral :)
As I mentioned at the start of this post, Friday's hike through the woods really exacerbated my fibromyalgia; I was left feeling very drained and had painful joints and muscles all over my body as well as even more swollen ankle (I sprained it a few weeks go)! I crashed for most of Saturday, and found my knees and ankles so sore to walk around on. I only spent a little while in the garden checking up on my bunnies. The Wildlife Trust have created an app to go along with the 30 Days Wild challenge, which includes lots of prompts and ideas for how you can spend each day. One suggestion was making some nature-themed origami and with inspiration from my rabbits, I decided to make some origami bunnies :) Here's a link to the video I originally used to learn how to make them.

Rabbit Origami

Rabbit Bunny Origami

Sunday was a busy and hectic day at my house as usual and so I spent quite a lot of the day out in the garden. The weather was lovely, and I had a lot of fun playing with Aurora and hugging my rabbits and watching my nephews and nieces play :) One of the cons of having an introverted personality is that social interaction can make you feel very drained, which is exactly how I felt after a couple of hours surrounded by my family. I found a prompt on the 30 Days Wild app that suggested taking a nap in the grass, which sounded perfect to me and so I relaxed on the lawn in the garden as soon as the kids went to play on the local park. It was so relaxing watching the clouds and the bees going from flower to flower, and it really didn't take long for me to fall asleep, haha! I also taught my one of my nieces how to make the origami bunnies today and she did great!

BluePotionUK Pokemon Phone Case

Today, I was inspired by another idea from the Wildlife Trust's app :) It suggests drawing a landscape, so I sat in the garden in the evening and drew the first natural scene that popped into my head. By the time I'd finished doodling and colouring, it was almost dark and the bats had woken up and come out to hunt. I watched them darting around and swooping into my neighbour's gardens for a while. My camera unfortunately is not good enough to capture super fast little Common Pipstrelle Bats (Pipistrellus pipistrellus) in flight! I had lots of fun listening to their high-pitched 'chirps' though and very nearly had a bat fly into my head, haha!

30 Days Wild Challenge

30 Days Wild Challenge
As you can see, I'm not much of an artist but I enjoyed myself anyway :)

This Tuesday, I made a daisy chain and was pretty proud of myself to be honest. Doing intricate things, like threading daisy stems through one another, is something that I've always struggled with. Although I'm yet to have an official diagnosis, I've had symptoms of Dyspraxia all of my life and my parents thought I had it as a child so that could very well be the reason why I struggle with these things. After several failed attempts, I finished a daisy chain and I was so excitable about it!

30 Days Wild Challenge
Daisies are so pretty!

I ended the two week marker of the challenge by completing the 'Take a Break in Nature' prompt :) With a cup of tea and a delicious Milka chocolate bar in hand, I went to sit out in the garden with my parents. I spotted lots of garden birds, even managed to snap a photo of a Great Tit (Parus major) feeding on one of my fat balls, yay! I also watched Aurora interacting with my neighbours cat, Amari, for the first time! It was adorable to see her so excited and eager to play. Amari was raised surrounded by lots of dogs so she just ignored her mostly.

ASDA Hare mug
I absolutely adore this Hare mug that I bought from ASDA :)

30 Days Wild Challenge

How cute! Look how excited Aurora is!
That's it for Week Two of the challenge. It's nice to see so much activity in nature now that the weather is improving :) I hope you all enjoyed all of my photographs. Let me know which was your favourite in the comments. Come back on Thursday for my next #30DaysWild post.

Thankyou for reading!

What's your favourite garden bird? How about your favourite insect?
Have you done anything in nature this week? Tell me about it :)

Japanese Sugar Candy | Review

Happy Tuesday Guys! Don't you just love when you find something that you'd forgotten buying!? This happened to me last week, whilst searching for some craft supplies I needed I found a box containing some things I'd ordered online last year. One of those items was a packet of Japanese candy that I've been waiting so long to try! Luckily, the best before date on these sweets was still months away and I've been so excited about finally getting to find out what they taste like! If you're a fellow Studio Ghibli fan, you should recognise these colourful sweets right away! I hope you all enjoy reading :)

Japanese Konpeito Candy

First off, how pretty do these sweets look!? I love how colourful they are, and they are such a cute shape too. They are a traditional sugar candy known as Konpeito, a name derived from a Portuguese word that was used historically by a missionary travelling to Japan to describe these once luxurious sweets. Sugar used to be a expensive item back in those days and so the sweets were only eaten for special occassions, whereas nowadays they are often given by Japanese people as gifts. They are popular all over the world too, and something that was probably a major influencer for their rise in global popularity was their appearance in an animation movie made by Studio Ghibli. Any fans recognise them yet? These pretty little candies were first brought to my attention when I saw them on the movie 'Spirited Away', in this adorable scene...

I absolutely love the Soot Sprites (Susuwatari) on this movie, and one day I'm determined to get a tattoo of them, of course with the Konpeito candy in hand! In this scene, the Soot Sprites who work for Kamaji, The Boiler Man, are given these sweets on their work break and they are so excited :) About as excited as I was when I received my packet of Konpeito in the post!! I ordered mine from the UK kawaii store, Tofu Cute, and you can find them here

Konpeito Japanese Candy

These sweets looked almost too lovely to eat and I was tempted to keep them unopened forever, which might actually have happened if I hadn't recently re-discovered that I had them, haha. However my curiosity got the better of me... I just had to see what they tasted like. Especially since I'd read that they were mostly unflavoured. From the look and feel of them, I expected them to be something similar to British rock because that too is made almost entirely from sugar. I was pretty impressed by how many sweets were inside the packet, although I know that it won't be long until I've eaten them all! I just love the packaging design of most Japanese products because I'm in love with all things Japanese! I really liked how bright this Konpeito packaging was, and that it has a zip-lock to reseal it :)

I will forever be fascinated by just how cute these sweets look! I really like how they come in a mix of different colours, as well as their unique texture/shape. These tiny 'balls' of sugar are covered in little bumps that make me think of mini asteroids or meteors! What do they resemble to you? I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture of these sweets. They are unflavoured but taste so so sweet and delicious! They remind me somewhat of those mint crumble sweets, because of the way they dissolve in your mouth. I'm definitely gonna have to buy some more of these :)

Konpeito Japanese Candy

I couldn't not get a photo of this adorable sugar candy with some of my Studio Ghibli character plushies! These amazing Japanese animations are some of my most favourite movies ever. They have such awesome storylines and in-depth characters as well as some of the sweetest animals and 'mythological' creatures. If you've never watched a Studio Ghibli movie before, you need to fix that! I recommend starting off with 'Spirited Away', although my personal favourites are 'Princess Mononoke' and 'Howl's Moving Castle'. Thankyou Mr Miyazaki and colleagues for creativing such wonderful movies, and for introducing these yummy sweets into my life haha! If you all haven't tried them before, you definitely should!

Thankyou for reading!

Have you ever tried Konpeito candy? If so, what did you think?
Also, what's your favourite Studio Ghibli movie?

I'd really love for you all to follow me on social media:

#30DaysWild | Week 1

Hey lovelies! I mentioned on last week's post all about my trip to Avenham Park with my friends that I was taking part in the Wildlife Trust's 30 Days Wild Challenge. This conservation and wildlife appreciation initiative encourages people to get out into nature and to do whatever they can to help the local flora and fauna. It's an event to help highlight just how valuable and beautiful the natural world around us is. I decided it would be a wonderful opportunity for me to get back into a hobby that I love so much, which is nature photography! I thought that doing something I really enjoy again, as well as getting out into the fresh air each day would be great for my mental health, too. It's been a lovely experience so far and I wanted to share with you all some of the photographs I've taken :) I hope you all enjoy this post, and if you're not joining in with the challenge already, you can always start your 30 days now!

I am yet to receive my 30 Days Wild pack from The Wildlife Trust in the post so I'm not sure what the daily prompts and ideas have been, so I've just been doing my own thing for my first week of the challenge :) I feel very lucky to have a lovely garden which I have been spending a lot of time in since the arrival of Spring. I love to feel the grass under my bare feet, to relax and listen to the birds tweeting and singing, and to smell the earthy and floral fragrances around me. It's a really therapeutic feeling and I just love being surrounded by nature. It makes me feel so at place. After having a very tough day last Wednesday because my lizard passed away, it spent pretty much all of Thursday in the garden with both my family and playing my sister's dog. It was almost like my neighbour's cat sensed my sadness because I haven't seen her for a long time and she gave me a surprise visit too. It was lovely to get kitty cuddles! Here are some snippets of Day 1...

Our beautiful Iris
Amari, the gorgeous Bengal X Devon Rex with her stunning pale green eyes!
Managed to get a little Honey Bee in flight, even though my hand was shaking and so I didn't get the greatest angle, oops!
Unfortunately on Friday, my fibromyalgia was causing me lots of problems, which I assume was even more aggravated by the fact that my mental health was so bad too. I didn't have the emotional strength or the energy to go for a walk or anything, and I spent most of the day resting or sleeping. I decided it would be nice to watch the sunset, and so in the evening I took Aurora into the garden to play. We both got very muddy feet as it had been raining on and off all day.

I love the way the evening sun's glow looks on the tree tops. It's gorgeous!
I absolutely adore the way raindrops look on leaves!
Late evening sky, just before dusk. I loved watching the sky filled with swifts chasing one another. They were cherping so loudly! Aurora was fascinated by them too, haha

On Day 3, I took a little stroll in the evening to the local shop with my parents and on to the post box to mail my (late) monthly Spoonie Post. We decided to walk the longer way home, through some of the street and to the local church which has a sort of garden area with some pretty flowers. I also took this walk as a opportunity to go to the local Pokestop to stock up on pokeballs. I saw the loveliest deep red roses hanging over the wall of someone's garden. They really were so beautiful!

Just look how stunning these roses are!
Such a pretty colour of Rhododendron
Colloquially, we call these 'Spit Bugs' or 'Spittle Bugs' but they are actually the nymphs of an insect called the Froghopper :)
Sunday was a brillant sunny day, and I made the most of it once I eventually woke up from a rather long lie in. What else are Sunday's for though!? My family all come over on a Sunday for dinner so we all sat out in the garden together. My brother and his family had brought along one of their dogs to meet Aurora. It was her very first time playing with another dog so it was lovely to watch her interact with Sandy; they spent most of the afternoon chasing each other around the garden. I enjoyed some delicious chips from the local chippy, and after everyone had gone home, I went to the nearby park on my estaste to take some photographs. Here's a few of them...

I love that my tiny local park is looking more overgrown and how it did when I was little :)
Buttercups Galore!

The start of this week was incredibly rainy and miserable, and so was my overall mood! I spent the day binge-watching shows on Netflix, some very interesting crime documentaries mostly, and then on my laptop I caught up on some episodes of a new show I've enjoying, a period drama called Jamestown. Is anyone else watching it? Let me know what you think so far :) Equipped with snacks and my bed, I lost track of the entire day! I went out when the sun had already gone down to get some fresh air. I love the smell outside after heavy rain, and I also wanted to see if I could spot any bats. I had to use the flash on my camera but I love how the raindrop-covered flowers I photographed look!

Bright violet Pansy flower
Ferns in the shadows
I especially love the colour of these Geraniums!

I'm really liking the design of the 6th logo with the little Puffins on top :) Tuesday was another tough day for me, mostly because I had an appointment with my therapist. It had been the end of our therapy sessions two months prior to this appointment, which was booked as a 'check in' to see how I'd been getting on. I was really anxious to discuss how I'd been and what had been happening with regards to my recovery, so I had a lot on my mind and I was exhausted so went to chill and watch shows in bed as soon as I could back home. I love the rain but I was worried about my camera getting wet, and with it raining all day so I only managed to capture one photograph on my phone. I love the rain... I love running around outside in it and getting soaked and splashing in puddles and so I went out into the garden in the rain with the dog to enjoy the downpour! Aurora was exploring, sniffing around and disturbed a sleeping moth. It flew out from somewhere near our greenhouse to hide on a leaf, so I snapped a photo as quickly as I could before it flew away. It was great fun to ID this moth, and I discovered it was a Common Marbled Carpet Moth (Dysstroma truncata). Check out the photograph I took over on my instagram

To conclude my first week of the 30 Days Wild Challenge, I went to my dad's house to admire all of his flowers. My dad has always loved growing flowers and he used to work as a professional gardener when he was young. I used to love watching my dad gardening and I grew up pretty knowledgable when it came to the common name of flower species. I took so many photographs at his and it was a tough job to choose which photographs to share with you all. I got up close to so many bumble bees, and also got my dad to agree to let me put a insect house in his garden :) Here are my final pictures until next week's post...

My first time ever seeing French Lavender. The bees adored this stuff!
Pretty in pink
My dad's garden hosts the biggest Allium flowers that I've seen in a long time. Looks like Mr Bumble Bee appreciates them too!
If anyone knows what this flower species is, please let me know :)
I totally didn't sneak into a neighbour's garden to take a photographs of their Hydrangea bush

Even though I've had such a tough past week, taking part in 30 Days Wild has been the highlight of each day and has reminded of the simple things in life that make me happy. Nature is such an important part of my life, and it's been nice to have the motivation to get outside everyday even if it's only been for a short time. I can't wait to see what delightful Springtime sights I spot over the next few weeks!

Thankyou for reading!

If any of my fellow bloggers are taking part in the Wildlife Trust's challenge, please comment with a link to your posts so I can check them out!

Also, what is everyone's favourite flower, tree and/or British wildlife?
My answer to this question is Bluebells & Sweetpeas, Oak trees and Japanese Cherry Blossoms, and as for wildlife, so so many! Barn Owls & Red Foxes might be at the top of my list though!

June Kawaii & Geeky Wishlist

Hello guys! Happy Monday! I hope you all have an awesome week whatever you're doing. My anxiety is all over the place today because tomorrow I'm having an 'check in' appointment with my therapist to discuss how I've been doing since our weekly appointments ended. I haven't made that much progress if I'm honest and I'm worried about what he's going to say. Ugh, I hope everything goes okay. It's not like I haven't tried but it's hard when you still have so many stressful things going on in your life to stay positive and not let depression overload your day. I decided to share my monthly Kawaii & Geeky Wishlist with you all today :) It certainly cheered me up putting it together, and it was quite difficult to narrow it down to just ten items; there's just so many cute things popping up online at the moment. I hope you all enjoy reading!

Kawaii & Geeky Wishlist, June Kawaii & Geeky Wishlist

1. Studio Ghibli My Neighbour Totoro Cosplay Dress If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know that last year I cosplayed as Totoro at the Manchester MCM Comic Con. When I was searching for cosplay design inspiration, I came across this awesome dress! However, all of the plus size ones had been sold out. I recently noticed that the Hot Topic dress was back in stock, and I want it so badly! I love it's simpliest design and the adorable Totoro's on the skirt :)

2. CatCake with Sprinkles Lapel Pin I absolutely adore the pin badges created by Pink Samurai and I've been lusting over a few of them for a while now. It won't be long until I finally have my own bedroom and don't have to share with my sister (Yay!) and so I've been thinking a lot about how I'm going to decorate my bedroom. One of the things I'm most looking forward to is having the wall space to display my pin badge collection. This also means that I'll be able to collect more pin badges, and this super cute cupcake kitty pin is the first on my wishlist!

3. Party Animal Pin Another amazing pin badge designer was brought to my attention recently via Instagram. Corazon PomPom make some lovely pin badges and I couldn't resist this vibrant, colourful Pinata pin. I especially love it's tail, made with cotton threads. I thought it was such a sweet little touch to the overall design of the pin and I can't wait until I can get my hands on one of my own!

4. Viva Pinata Pattern Phone Case Blue Potion is one of my favourite etsy stores for cutesy nerd merch. I'm in love with the chibi character designs and I would love to own pretty much every one of the items available. Who else played Viva Pinata? I loved this game, and would be very happy to rock this adorable case on my phone. I really like the pastel/pale green background, too. I have another phone case from Blue Potion and it's fantastic quality so I can't recommend them enough! (Check out my review of it here).

5. Origami Dinosaur Bag by House of Disaster Oh my gosh, how awesome is this bag though!? I'm a big fan of dinosaurs and although my favourite is the Velociraptor, I've always have a place in my heart for Triceratops, because of the Land Before Time movies :) I'm really lovin' all of the origami style products by House of Disaster, and I'm impressed with the size of this bag. The turquoise colour is so pretty, too.

6. Build A Bear Pokemon Squirtle Plush Everyone knows that I'm obsessed with the Build A Bear Pokemon plushies, having bought every single one that's been released up to the date: Pikachu, Eevee & Charmander. I am soooo happy that the Squirtle plush is in stores! I was a little stressed when I found out because of all of the financial troubles I'm having right now, because I thought I would have to miss out on this little guy. However, my Dad has offered to buy it for me as a earlier Birthday present. Woo! I'm over the moon, and of course I'm going to get my Squirtle the raincoat too!

7. Funko Mystery Minis Harry Potter Edition As a lover of vinyl figures and surprises, the Funko Mystery Minis blind boxes I've bought so far have been fantastic. I thought it would be awesome to try the Harry Potter ones next :) Fellow Harry Potter fans, who's your favourite character? Let me know in the comments!

8. Coroham Coron Hamster Pouch by Amuse I think I might have a slight Amuse plush addiction! Tokyo Otaku Mode is constantly bringing to my attention more adorable Amuse items, and as soon as I saw these Coroham Coron pouches, I had a mighty need for one! I think they would make great washbag for when you are staying out at a hotel or a friends house. Products by the Japanese company Amuse are always such fantastic quality and made using very soft material, so I bet there's pouches feel lovely!

9. Shoal Time Jellyfish List Pad I can never have too many list pads, because I use them so quickly! I just find making to-do-lists really cathartic and anxiety-relieving :) Who else is the same? I would love to add this Jellyfish list pad to my over-growing collection, because just look at it! The Jellyfish has moveable tentacles! Gotta love Paperchase for having such awesome stationery!

10. Funko Pop! Horror Movie Pens The final item on my Kawaii & Geeky Wishlist this month is this super cool Freddy Kruegar Pop! pen! I love it! I have to admit that I'd probably never use it if I bought it because I wouldn't want the ink to run out, especially since the Pop! topper is attached to the pen itself. It would be great to be able to remove the topper, but nevermind; it's still really cute and I would like to collect the Horror set some day, which also includes: Chucky, Leatherface and Jason Voorhees. Which one would you choose?

Thankyou for reading!

Afternoon at Avenham Park

Hi Everyone! I hope you've all had a fabulous week :) I've been spending more time with my friends later which has been wonderful. A bunch of us met up on Tuesday night for a get together and night out. We always have such an awesome time pre-drinking and playing some games, including Quiplash. Who else has played this fun video game!? It always ends up comparible to Cards Against Humanity, especially with alcohol added into the equation. I then spent Wednesday sleeping off my hangover, complaining and watching random youtube channels with my friends, such as this interesting one by three urban explorers. I'd love to go and explore an old hospital or an abandoned theme park some day! Anyhow on with today's post... last Saturday, my best friends & I decided to head to Avenham Park, a really pretty Victorian park in Preston city. I've only ever been to the park once before and didn't get to explore as much last time, so I had such a good time! I took a few photographs to show you guys. Enjoy :)

Afternoon in Avenham Park Preston, Avenham Park,

So, before I show off how beautiful this park is... I thought I'll tell you all a little information about it.  Avenham Park is a Grade 2 listed Natural Heritage park, dating back to the Victorian Era. It has some historical sites in the park such a gorgeous building called The Belvedere and an awesome viaduct over the River Ribble. Also in the park is a pretty fountain, a Japanese Park and a cafe :) It's a lovely place for a day out. We were hoping that the weather would be nicer since we had planned to have a picnic, however it rained on and off all morning so we had to change our plans. It was still great fun to walk around, exploring the grounds, admire everyones adorable dogs and play Pokemon Go. I finally caught my first Growlithe!

Afternoon in Avenham Park Preston, Avenham Park,

I saw so many wonderful things on my trip to Avenham Park, including a lovely little rose garden with so many colours and varieties of rose, and lots of Iris' surrounding the Japanese Garden. The garden itself was just so lovely, and there were fish living in the pond! I spotted my first ever Yarn Bombing just by the Pokestop near the Japanese Garden, and it made me wish that I knew how to knit so that I could do my very own Yarn Bombing. On my day out, I also learnt some of the history surrounding an old listed building that is visible from the centre of the park. I found it that it was once an Orphange (St Joseph's was it's name) for young girls run by Catholic nuns. Once I got home and did some research, I also found out that it was a hospital too and has a lot of history attached to it. It's been abandoned for a long time and urban explorers like to visit it :) After we'd finished at the park, we handed into the city centre to go to Wetherspoon's, and I tripped up and stained my ankle because I'm ridiculously clumsy haha. Then hung out at my friend's place in Preston for a few hours, before having a good sing along in the car on the drive back to my hometown.

I hope you all enjoyed this photography based post :) I absolutely love parks that are located in cities. It's such a lovely contrast to be able to walk from the hustle and bustle of a city with traffic and people and buildings, to a gorgeous, serene parkland that looks like it belongs in a rural setting. For the rest of the month, there's going to be a post just like this one each week as I am taking part in the Wildlife Trust's '30 Days Wild' Challenge, which encourage people to get out into nature everyday, to appreciate it and explore it, to make the most of this beautiful time of year and educate themselves about the natural world. I thought I'd document the challenge on here. Is anyone else doing 30 Days Wild too?

Thankyou for reading!

Have any of my lovely readers been to a park or nature reserve or forest lately?
I'd love to hear all about it! What wildlife did you see there?
