My Christmas Wishlist | Blogmas #10

Hi lovelies! I hope you've all had a fabulous weekend. Yesterday, I went out on a night out with my friends for the first time in a while! I had a really good time and although alcohol really don't mix well with me, for once I didn't have as bad a hangover as I usually do, which was awesome! I very nearly didn't get a post up for you guys today, because I'm absolutely exhausted! But I was determined to get something up so for Blogmas Day 10, I'm sharing my Christmas wishlist with you all :) This was actually a pretty tough list to put together, as there's not much that I want right now that isn't only sold in America (not much chance of those arriving by Christmas!), and some things I'm lusting after at the moment have not even been released yet, like the TokiDoki Unicorno Series 6 figures! However, there are still some things that I would absolutely love to get for Christmas, and I hope that you enjoy reading about them!

1. The Walking Dead Daryl Dixon Bedding If you know me well, you'll know that I am a complete fangirl when it comes to Daryl Dixon, and because of The Walking Dead I am now also obsessed with the actor behind the character, Norman Reedus. He's gorgeous and if you don't agree, then you're wrong :p haha! I would love anything TWD related for Christmas, but especially if it's Daryl Dixon merch. It breaks my heart that I won't ever be sharing a bed with Mr Dixon himself... so this bedding is the next best thing, right? XD

2. Pusheen The Cat With Doughnut Plush I have wanted a Pusheen plushie ever since I fell in love with this adorable chubby cat, however after receiving a mini plush of her in my Autumn Pusheen Box (you can see what else I got inside the box here), I now have a mighty need to get a bigger version. It was such great quality and super soft too. I love donuts so this is my favourite Pusheen plush, next to the Pusheenosaurus one!

3. Black Sequin Christmas Robin Jumper I would love to get a new Christmas jumper to wear on Christmas Day and throughout the rest of December's festivities, and I really liked my last Christmas jumper from Yours Clothing. It was very cosy and pretty flattering as far as Christmas jumpers go, which is something that I find is usually not the case when it comes to plus size jumpers, so I was super happy about that! This robin jumper is cute and I like that it's black, because well, black is my favourite colour to wear :)

4. Funko Mystery Mini Horror Classics Series 2 If you've been following me for a while now, you'll know that I am both a horror fan and a collector of Funko Mystery Mini figures. They come in blind boxes and I absolutely adore them! Back in October, I finally started collecting the Series 3 Horror Classics figures after wanting to for a long while, and I am now ready to start collecting the previous series of horror characters too. They are harder to source though, with some sellers charging ridiculous prices for shipping and even the blind boxes themselves :( It would be wonderful if I got one as a gift, any blind box that suited my interests would be a fabulous present for me!

5. Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette I really really want my own Naked palette! I have wanted one for too long and am yet to buy one! They are all so pretty, and even thought the Smokey Naked palette is the one I have my heart set on the most, this one is on sale until Monday on the Debenhams website. I am very tempted to get myself another early Christmas present!

6. Ikea Moppe Mini Chest of Drawers I am in the process of decorating my bedroom, which is taking ALOT longer than I had hoped but nevermind, at least it's getting done! I would really like some mini drawers to store all of my little crafty bits and pieces, and my small charms and such, and I cannot seem to find a white set that has more than six drawers. Through watching some Youtube videos and reading around on Pinterest, I discovered that lots of people buy these plain Moppe drawers from Ikea then paint them whatever colour they want to suit their aesthetics and/or colour scheme. I would love to get some of these for my bedroom and paint them white to match all of my other new furniture, most of which is also from Ikea.

7. Baby Pink Origami Rabbit Lamp You may have seen me include other lamps of this style from House of Disaster on some of my previous wishlist posts, and that's because I absolutely love them! They have such an awesome design and the fact that they are animals just makes me want them all the more. I recently found out that that Thunder Egg Manchester sell a rabbit version, and I now have a mighty need! It would go perfectly in my new bedroom once it's all finished, and it's just so lovely. If someone bought me this for Christmas, I would be so over the moon!

8. Tofu Cute Christmas Lucky Bag Over the last few weeks, I have been working on a collaboration post with my awesome blogger friend Nat from over at There Might Be Coffee, and this past week, we each shared two Geeky Gift Guide posts, one for girls and one for guys. I'd really appreciate it if you guys would check out her posts on my blog, and head over to her blog to see my posts! Anyhow, whilst I was researching for my gift guides, I came across these fabulous Christmas editions of the Tofu Cute lucky bags. There are various sizes that you can get, and depending on the price you pay, you'll get a mix of however many Japanese or Korean snacks and also some kawaii plushies from the brand Amuse! You also get a really cute drawstring bag too! I neeeeeeed one of these bags for myself! I love surprises and I'm just so curious to see what you'd get for your money! :)

9. Sass & Belle Pastel Peekaboo Bunny I LOVE the products by the company Sass & Belle, especially their homeware ones! They are so cute yet very pretty and more grown-up looking. Not that I personally care if the items I usually go for are deemed as 'childish' but it's nice to see such cutesy items that make great gifts for everyone and also look lovely displayed in your home! Earlier this month, I ordered a Sass & Belle rug to go into my bedroom once it has gone through its makeover, and it made me wanna go have a nosey at any new products they might have (I ordered my rug from an animal rescue centre's store on eBay). I adored these little rabbit ornament as soon as I saw them! a) because I love pastel colours. b) because RABBITS!! c) because I love the whole 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' thing as it reminds me of one of my favourite horror movies by Wes Craven. And d) they are so flippin' sweet! They are sold individually, but I want all three!

It's not long until Christmas now at all! I can't believe how quickly the days seem to be flying by for me this month, and even though we are only 10 days in, I feel like it will be Christmas Day before we know it, or maybe that's just me! Once I've gathered the last few Christmas gifts for my friends & family, I might treat have to get myself some of these items to say Merry Crimbo to myself! You should all treat yourself to something this holiday too :)

Thankyou for reading!

Blogmas Day 10 | Christmas at University Throwback

This year is the first time in three years that I didn't spend the first week of December at university and I definitely missed it. I loved being surrounded by my friends, all of us excited for Christmas and eager to celebrate this wonderful time of year together before heading off home for our winter break. We'd all sit around the kitchen table cutting out paper snowflakes and doing some festive drawings to decorate the windows of our flat, whilst listening to all our favourite Christmas songs. I loved watching Christmas movies with my flatmates, wrapped up in our blankets surrounded by snacks. Timehop on facebook has been constantly reminding me of all my favourite university Christmas memories which gave me the inspiration for today's blogmas post. So here's my throwback thursday Christmas edition.

My favourite Christmas memory from my time at uni has to be from my 2nd year when my flatmates and I made an amazing Christmas dinner. It was lovely spending the afternoon preparing and cooking food together, dancing and singing along to Christmas songs and making the kitchen look super Christmassy. We all wore our Christmas jumpers and I wore some funky angel earrings too. The dinner we made was honestly one of the best Christmas meals I've ever had. We cooked homemade Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes in goose fat, honey roasted carrots and parsnips (the first time I tried honey roasted veg and I loved them!), sage & onion stuffing, mash potato, lots of vegetables, pigs-in-blankets (yum yum... my favourite festive food) and we decided to have a roast chicken rather than turkey. We spent the last of our budget on a chocolate gateau for dessert and some Christmas crackers. It was such an awesome day!

^ Me & one of my friends are short (I'm 5''2) so had to stand on a chair to get a good photo of all the food haha

^ How delicious do our homemade roasties look!? Roast potatoes are one of my favourite foods.

^ We made ALOT of food so there was well enough for everyone to fill their plates.

Another fantastic memory from uni was the Christmas event at our campus bar. I went to Nottingham Trent University, which has three campuses and I studied at Brackenhurst. Our bar was called the Brack Bar and for many of the events, they played on the word 'Brack' when naming them. They called the Halloween event 'Brack from the Dead' and the Christmas Event 'Brackmas'. I went to the Brackmas event in my 1st and 2nd year and it was so fun dressing up in festive attire, celebrating with friends and dancing until the early hours! I wish I'd made more of an attempt to dress up now! Some of my fellow students had such creative costumes; in my 1st year, two of my flatmates dressed up as elves and looked both hilarious and awesome.

In my 1st year, me & my flatmates also did a Secret Santa and I'd never done one before. It was really fun and my dear friend Beth bought me some adorable Hello Kitty gifts. I made my flatmate a little hamper filled with some of his favourite snacks. The night before we all gave each other our Secret Santa gifts, I stuck Christmas cards & candy canes on all of my flatmates bedroom doors to surprise them :)  My final favourite Christmas memory was all of the snow that we got in 2012. My campus is in the countryside and surrounded by fields and farmland, so it looked beautiful covered in snow. It was great to build snowmen with my friends and go for walks in the snow with my camera. I hope it snows like that this year!

I hope you all enjoyed today's post!

What are your favourite Christmas memories from university, college or school?
