Flowery Eeveelution Pin by Quirkory

Hey everyone! Long time, no see... can I even consider myself a blogger anymore!? Oops! Before I start today's post, which is all about a gorgeous gift that a super awesome friend of mine picked up for me, I just wanted to say a massive, mega, huge THANK YOU to each and every one of you who still read my blog, and follow along with my shambles of a life over on social media. You guys are the best!! You make me feel loved and interesting and I am eternally grateful for that  Anyhow, enough soppiness, you came here to read all about wonderful nerdy things and to get your daily dose of cuteness overload, so let's go!

A photo showing a business card for Quirkory, featuring two mascots, a fox called Inari and a wolf called Mosted

If you're one of those fabulous regular readers of mine, you may remember my Christmas in July post from last year. Time seemed to both drag and speed by in 2020, during those months and months of pandemic life, and like so many others who struggle with mental illness, my brain was all over the place. My motivation and drive to do anything all but disappeared, and as a result, we got to celebrate a second Christmas here on Raiin Monkey, when I was finally able to put together a post for you guys all about my presents :D

Well, time has repeated itself! It's been a challenge to get out of this new 'normal' state of mind and because of this, my blog has took a back-burner. I feel like I'm starting to ramble... but yeah, if you love Christmas Time then this is your jam (do people even say that anymore? haha!). We are revisiting the ''most wonderful time of the year'' once again, because I want to show you all the most adorable enamel pin that the amazing Natalee who blogs over at ThereMightBeCoffee bought for me! :) Thanks so very much for being such a star, Nat!! I have been so looking forward to showing off your present (even though it's taken me absolutely ages; better late than never, right?). So, fans of christmas and pins and cute fandom things, keep reading. You will not be disappointed!

A photo showing a christmas gift from Quirkory, wrapped in red paper with a silver ribbon, a letter, stickers of eevee, a pokemon, and fox mascots

LOOK HOW CUTE!! Everything is so sweet! I was super delighted when I opened this package on Christmas Day after it had been sitting on my bookshelf for weeks; I was sooooo tempted to open it early, especially when Nat told me I could. But I did it! I held off until the big day, and was very happy I managed to do so! It was a wonderful surprise to discover that the item inside had been wrapped in pretty Christmas paper, finished with a sparkly silver ribbon :) A huge thanks to Quirkory for doing this!

If you haven't heard of Quirkory before, it is an amazing independent artist business based in Italy and run by the cutest little mascots, Inari & Mosted (and their human creators, Claudia & Marco). They make all sorts of fandom-related and adorable animal artwork, in the form of enamel pins, stickers and much more! Some of their collections include Pokemon, Animal Crossing, kawaii Greek Gods and their recent kickstarter project is based on spirit animals. You can check those out here. I had been wanting to add something from Quirkory to my ever-growing pin collection for so long, so I was over the moon that Nat helped me to finally do that! And with such a beautiful pin, too!! I love it so so much!!

This little personalised note card is so nice! I'm definitely going to be displaying it on my art wall. I'm a bunny mom and I literally squealed upon spotting those five chubby bun-buns... aren't they just so precious!?! I love how they are all unique and my favourite has to be the one on the left that's holding his paws up to his cheeks. That was literally me when I saw this note card :D Which is your favourite?

Something else that I especially adored about this package from Quirkory was the letter from the artists. It was a lovely read and printed onto the cutest paper ever! I just thought it was such an awesome touch for them to add into their orders, and even though I received the item as a present, it's really nice to get something personal, a heartfelt message, when you support artists, as you can tell how much they appreciate it.

Also, how cute is Quirkory's business card!? As a big fan of canidae species, I find Mosted & Inari so precious!! I think they represent a fox and a wolf, but I'm not 100%. I love the christmassy attire they are wearing on the card, too. A couple of stickers were also included in the package, and I'm unsure whether Nat opted for them or if Quirkory added them as freebies; either way, they were a delight to receive! Inari in Christmas outfits is the sweetest thing, and Eevee sleeping on a flower is like something out of a fairytale! What's not to love? There was a sticker version of the pin Nat chose for me as well, but I didn't want to spoil the surprise until you guys saw the star of the show

A photo of a pokemon eeveelution pin designed by Quirkory, vaporeon, a blue pokemon, is sitting on a orange yellow lotus flower

It's Vaporeon, my favourite Pokemon ever!! The sweetest little water baby! And oh my goodness, he's sitting on a flower, which is just perfect for a nature nerd like me. I'm in love with Quirkory's art style, the chibi characters and how colourful they are! AWWW, TOE BEANS!! Vaporeon's facial expression is the cutest. He's winking and looks like he's sticking his tiny tongue out.  I love his rosy cheeks and the rounded shape of the fins on his head, too. They just look fluffy? Squishy?? I don't know how to explain it, but it's super cute :)

This pin is part of the 'Flowers Collection' - Eeveelutions sitting on flowers, all of which Quirkory have chosen for a specific reason. Each backing card comes with a description of the 'lore' behind why each flower was picked. Vaporeon has been partnered with the lotus flower and here's what my backing card says:

'Everyone knows that Vaporeon is a water Pokemon, so it could only be matched with an aquatic flower! What is not well known, however, is that Vaporeon has the ability to walk on water... and Lotus are really good at it, as well! Thanks to their huge leaf and long roots, they can always stay afloat, even in the most difficult situations! Their ideal habitat are lakes, and certainly Vaporeon's Aurora Beam would have no effect on this flower, because it's also frost resistant'.

an enamel pin of the pokemon vaporeon sitting on a yellow orange lotus flower and lily pad

How awesome! It's so interesting to learn about why this flower was chosen to accompany Vaporeon in the pins design. It's making me want to buy the other pins in this collection just to find out the reasons why each specific flower was chosen to represent them :)

Another element I love about this pin is the leaf of the lotus flower, which is very visually similar to a lily pad. Lily pads make me think of frogs and I adore frogs, so whenever I look at the leaf part of this pin, I think of frogs and that makes me smile :D Furthermore, I love the colour contrast between the pale blue and teal shades used for Vaporeon, and the more bold colours picked for the plant part of the pin. It just makes vaporeon stand out even more. The warm orange and yellow pairs very well with the gold plating, don't you think? The petals are almost illuminated whenever the light catches the gold outlines, and it makes me picture the suns rays shining over the waters surface and making all the lotus flowers glow.

A photo of a pokemon enamel pin by Quirkory. Vaporeon is sitting on a lotus flower, a sticker of this design can be seen as well as the back of the pin with blue rubber backs

I really like that the rubber backs for this pin badge are blue! As far as I remember, I was yet to own a pin with blue backs before receiving this one and in my opinion, it's cool to have backs that match the colour scheme of the character. I wonder if the other pins in this collection also have backs that are colour co-ordinated with each Pokemon, or whether Quirkory's pins always have a blue rubber back. Either way, it's a welcome change from all the pink or black backs that currently fill up my collection. It's also a nice touch to have the name of the Pokemon included on the back of the pin :) I'm assuming that Vaporus is the Italian name for Vaporeon? I've never seen a pin before that had the name of the design written on it, so much attention to detail! The whole pin is just perfect and I really love Quirkory's interpretation of my favourite Pokemon!! What do you guys think?

a photo showing two adorable cartoon mascots for the brand Quirkory, a fox and wolf, both of which have cute thankful expressions

Overall, this package was filled with so much adorableness! It was such a pleasure to open, and there was so much included in there that it just felt like the gift that kept on giving. So many cute things to look at, and you can really tell how much love goes into the preparation of Quirkory's orders. It's a wonderful thing to see! Thank you so much Quirkory, and a huge thanks to Natalee for thinking of me and for choosing a gift that you knew I would adore so much :) I am very lucky to have a friend like you!

Be sure to check out Quirkory's Instagram & Etsy Store. They have so many products that I know you all will love! I have my eyes on several of their Animal Crossing Switch Controller pins right now :) The designs also come in sticker form. Sherb & Flick are on my wishlist! I also have a mighty need to get their witchy frog pin because I love all things that are a mixture of spooky and cute! Plus, FROGS!! (please make a Lily version of the switch controller pins!) You guys should totally treat yourselves, and even better... my friend Nat is a brand rep for Quirkory, so if you use her discount code, you can save 10% off your order!! Since we are revisiting Christmas today, might I suggest starting your festive shopping early and putting something adorable away for the nerdy loved ones in your life? :D Use the code TMBQUIRKORY at checkout.

I hope you all enjoyed reading all about my 'new' Flowery Vaporeon enamel pin! I will try my very hardest to get back to blogging regularly, so be sure to check my social media for updates about upcoming posts. Instagram is where I'm most active so keep your eyes peeled over there. It's been so much fun to write again about the little nerdy snippets of my life that make me happy! Wishing you all a marvellous rest of the July filled with lovely summery days and ice-cream and happy mail and small steps towards post-covid normalcy. Remember to keep wearing those masks though, guys :)

Thank you for reading!

Fox Leap! Haul & Review

Hey lovelies! I hope you are all well, and that you're looking after yourselves during these stressful times I wanted to bring a little brightness into your day, especially since its been so overcast today... (well, it has been pouring it down in the North West of England anyhow), by showing you guys some of the most gorgeous pins ever!! So if you are a fellow collector of pin badges or just enjoy all things pretty, then you're going to love this post :)

I have had my eye on a fantastic online store called Fox Leap! for quite some time, after first having it brought to my attention by my awesome blogger friend Natalee from over at There Might Be Coffee. Ever since, I have absolutely adored Fox Leap's artwork and it makes me smile whenever some of it pops up on my feed over on Instagram. Sophie, the artist behind Fox Leap!, creates the loveliest art; her style is so adorable and unique *all the heart eye emojis*. All of her fanart and original characters have these big eyes that make your heart melt, at least that's the affect they have on me!

A photo of a purple and white striped paper bag with a logo sticker on featuring a fox for the shop Fox Leap

I noticed back in April that Fox Leap! was having a sale and so I jumped at the chance to finally get myself one of Sophie's beautiful pins. I wanted the Kovu and Kiara pin, since The Lion King 2 is my all-time favourite Disney movie & I barely ever see any merch of the characters, but it was unfortunately sold out. I instead opted for my second favourite Fox Leap! pin :)

So, which character did I choose?

A photo of an enamel pin by FoxLeap! featuring Scar from Disneys Lion King

Scar, of course!! This devious, sarcastic lion is my No.1 Disney villain; he has been since I was around 5 years old. I think he's hilarious and even though I should 'hate' him, I just can't! Who else loves Scar?

This 'Be Prepared' pin design is just so stunning! LOOK AT IT!! I really love that Sophie chose to design the pin after this scene because I am such a big fan of the song! Each time I see my new pin, I instantly want to start singing :D Jeremy Irons' version is obviously marvellous, but I always think about the performance from the Broadway musical, which was the first ever musical theatre show I went to, back in 2013 with my mom, so of course, it's a memory I hold very dear to my heart. The fact that this pin makes me reminisce about the musical will mean that it will forever remain one of the most beloved pins in my entire collection!

Here's what the pin looks like when tilted in the light (if that makes sense!)...

Super bright & eye-catching!! I am in love with the colour scheme :) Black and green are my favourite colours so it's hard for me not to adore this pin based on the colouration alone. But there are so many more things I love about Fox Leap's Scar pin!

I have mentioned many times before on my blog that pins with gold outlines aren't really my cup of tea, even though I'll admit that lots of pins do look lovely being gold-plated and so I have several like this in my ever-growing collection, however, in general, I'd prefer a pin with another coloured outline/plating. And so as you can imagine, the fact that this Be Prepared pin is backed in black is one of the details that drew me to it. It really love the outline colour, and how it can be subtle yet still shine just as nicely in the sunlight as any gold-plated pin can!

Another feature of this pin that I love is the shape... I think it just has a very unique structure to it and your eyes are instantly drawn to the yellow and green smoke, and then to Scar's big eyes. They are super cute! Who can resist a chibified version of a baddie, though!? His little smirk is so endearing, too. Oh my gosh, I can't express how delighted I am with the entire design of this pin! Sophie has really captured the unique look of Scar's mane, which is another thing I love! And those swirls/wisps of smoke look super cool, don't you think?

It's so awesome how the colours change depending on the angle and lighting. I can't wait to wear this pin out and about (eventually!) and show it off!

You may have noticed the little sneak preview of another pin in the photo above ;) And that's what I'm going to talk about next. Sophie was amazingly kind and gifted me the loveliest pin, and I have been super excited about showing it to you guys!!

A photo of beautiful blue fox enamel pin with flowers and leaves, by FoxLeap!

Ta-da!! HOW STUNNING IS THIS PIN!!? Just look how intricate and detailed the design is. I was so wowed when I opened my package and found this little cutie inside!! I can't get over how beautiful it is. THANKYOU so very much, Sophie, for sending me your Silver Fox* pin!! ^.^

If you guys didn't already know, a silver fox is a colour variation of the Red Fox, where instead of having bright red/orange fur, the fox looks black or very dark grey. If you've been following my blog for a while now, you'll probably know that foxes are one of my most loved animal species, and so I was over the moon to receive a fox pin!! Fox Leap!, as the name would suggest, has created several gorgeous foxy pins, so definitely go check them out if you are a fox lover like me! Talking of foxes, how brilliant is Fox Leap's logo!!? It makes me super happy... especially because of its huge, floofy tail! I can just imagine a real Red fox sleeping in a meadow full of summer flowers when I look at the logo!

A photo of a enamel pin by FoxLeap! of a blue fox with flowers and leaves surrouding it. it has a glittery tail and paws.

So, what is it about this pin that I adore?

Where do I start? haha :D I love the boldness of the colours, they are striking! There's also so much to look at, from the detailed facial markings, to the pointy pink ears, to the leaves in the background, the flowers & the glittery tail and paws. You can definitely see how much attention to detail has gone into the design of this enamel pin!

I'm not sure if this makes much sense to anyone other than myself, but the Silver Fox pin really reminds me of a mountain! Let me explain... the tail makes me visualise a snow-capped mountain, and the surrounding blue makes me think of photographs I've seen of Japan's Mt. Fuji against the backdrop of a cool evening skyline. The blossoms represent sakura/cherry blossoms for me, and the leaves could be the forests surrounding the mountain. This pin makes my imagination run wild and that makes me love it even more!

Despite the pin having a gold outline/plating, I actually don't mind it because I feel like it really helps to make the colours stand out more. They are vibrant and wouldn't look as pretty on a black or silver plated enamel, in my opinion. The gold has a lovely warm shine to it, and could totally be the sunset for my mountain! :D Oh, and another element of the design I love are the fox's green eyes, because it's almost like they are reflecting the leaves. So pretty!

A photo of two beautiful enamel pins by FoxLeap, one is Lion Kings Scar and the other is a blue fox

Anyhow, those are the two new pin badges I got from the fabulous Fox Leap! I am very impressed with the design and overall quality of them, and I loved how nicely packaged they were. The backing-cards were lovely, and I don't know why but I just think it's wonderful when I receive items in paper bags. I guess it subconscious;y reminds me of getting pick'n'mix sweets or something! Is anyone else a sucker for paper bags, or am I just weird? :D

Before I finish up today's post, I just wanted to let you all know more information about the pricing of my new pins. As I said earlier, I got the Be Prepared/Scar one on sale, during which it was only £6.40. It's usually £8, which is a great price for such a brilliant pin, although I love a good bargain, haha! All of Sophie's pins are £8, but you can get yourself a foxy pin from her website for only £6.40 at the moment. The P&P for me in the UK was £1.50, so altogether I paid £7.90, which I was very pleased with. The package arrived pretty quick as well, considering all of the corona-related delays going on.

I'd love to know which of the pins is your favourite and why, guys! I hope you all enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing about these gorgeous products! I will certainly be shopping from Fox Leap! again in the future. They even have a monthly pin club on Patreon, where, for just approximately £9 a month ($15 for international backers) you can get a pin, a vinyl sticker and a mini print, and I'm so tempted to sign up! A big thanks to Sophie for kindly gifting me the fox pin... I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I hope you have a wonderful week, everyone!

Thankyou for reading!

Have you been buying any new pins lately?

Do you have a favourite species of Fox, or Disney character, or both?

Illustrator Jake Pins

Hello & Happy Monday! I am so excited to share this post with you all! I was super lucky to win a giveaway over on Instagram from an artist that I have been following for a while!! They create the most adorable art and sell the cutest enamel pins! And guess what? I won some of their pins back in late 2019, and I just know you guys are going to love them as much as I do. If you're a fellow collector of pin badges, love Nintendo, or just like reading me ramble on about my nerdy interests, then this is the kind of post for you! :)

A photo of a business card from Illustrator Jake featuring artwork of Haku the dragon

The artist that hosted the giveaway I won is Illustrator Jake. If you use Instagram & browse the kawaii, geeky/nerdy or gamer hashtags, then it's very likely that you have come across some of Illustrator Jake's brilliant artwork. They create not only pin badges, but much more: clothing, stickers, backpacks, and most recently, a super gorgeous collection of dragon-themed ita bags! Head over to Illustrator Jake's website to have a look for yourself at just how cute they are!!

Illustrator Jake is based in the UK, and makes fanart of all of our favourite characters, inspired by such franchises as Pokemon, Studio Ghibli (just look at how adorable Haku is on their business card!!), Animal Crossing, Zelda and lots of others. If you, like me, are a fan of all things kawaii, and the chibi art style in general, then you will seriously fall in love with the artwork by Illustrator Jake! I have been wanting to add some of their enamel pins into my collection for the longest time, ever since my lovely friend Natalee showed off an Aggretsuko pin by them over on her Instagram

I am so happy that I now have some of my own to show off, especially when I'm out and about (even though it's taken me forever to finally get this post written... 2020 has been fantastic...)! My post today is going to dedicated to a certain smol round pink cutie that we all know & adore :D Of which, Illustrator Jake creates such wonderful artwork... but you'll see that for yourself!

A photo showing three Nintendo Kirby enamel pins by artist Illustrator Jake

TA-DA! I can't believe that not only did I win one pin, but three!! *squeee*. How lovely it is of Illustrator Jake to offer such an amazing prize in a giveaway! I can't put into words just how happy I was when I received my package from Illustrator Jake and saw just how gorgeous the pins were in person. They looked fabulous online, but wow! They are so bright and eye-catching... I LOVE THEM!

A photo of a Nintendo Kirby enamel pin, he has a cheerful excited expression and is holding two stars

I am in love with the expression on the face of this Kirby. He looks so excited!! I can just imagine him dancing around like 'look at me, I've got stars'! This pin just makes me smile as soon as I look at it, so it will be perfect to wear on days when I'm having a bad mental health day, to cheer me up. I also really like the idea of this pin putting a smile on other people's faces. I mean, how could you not smile at this precious happy boi? :)

A photo showing two enamel pin badges of Nintendo character Kirby, one is in the shape of a Nintendo Switch console

I'm very much lovin' how sparkly these two pins are! I've found with a lot of sparkly pins, the glitter can be too much but that is definitely not the case with these. The glitter is subtle but still stands out. My favourite of the glittery details are the clouds! It makes me picture sunshine shining through the clouds on a bright day!

Another thing that I adore about these pins is how colourful they are, and how much the colour pops despite being mostly in pastel shades. The rainbows on either side of the Nintendo Switch pin are super pretty!! As someone who dresses alternative, in mostly black clothing, I like to wear pins that really contrast my outfits, and so all of these Kirby pins are right up my street, as the saying goes.

I usually opt for silver outlined pins, but the gold matches so well with the colour scheme of these pins and helps to give them an overall warm glow, which I really like. Sometimes when gold pins catch the light, they look almost magical and these pins do just that! I think the heart-shaped cheeks in the same golden colour are a marvellous touch, too. So sweet!

A photo showing three enamel pins by artist Illustrator Jake. They are all of Nintendo's Kirby

It was tough to choose, but my favourite of these three Kirby pin badges is the Kirby X Deku pin (the one in the green jacket). Deku is a character from the anime, My Hero Academia, which I still haven't watched... oops! However, I just love the look of the jacket that Kirby is wearing, it reminds me of the puffy coats that kids used to wear in the 90s (nostalgic much), and I also really like the colour combination of green & pink. Another detail I like about the Kirby X Deku pin is how big it is. I feel less worried wearing pins of this size when I'm going out, as I feel like I'd notice if it somehow fell off. All of these pins are very well-made and feel super sturdy though!

I hope you all enjoyed checking out these stunning pins by Illustrator Jake. If you haven't already, be sure to give them a follow over on Instagram (they have a twitter as well), and if you can, treat yourself to some of their incredibly cute merch! It's even more important than ever now to show your support to small/independent businesses & artists, because of this silly virus. Why not surprise your loved ones with a gift? :)

A photo showing three enamel pins of Kirby by Nintendo, they are made by artist Illustrator Jake

I totally forgot to take a photo of the pins without the backing cards, so here's a shot I got when I actually realised, haha! Before I finished this post, I wanted to mention how much I love the backing cards themselves... all of those sweet little illustrations on it! I really appreciate it when its clear to see how much thought and attention to detail has gone into every aspect of an artists' products :) Seriously though guys, how much do these pins stand out!? I'm over the moon with them! I've decided that I'm going to keep two and gift the Switch one to a friend of mine, because I know how much they'll love it! Not that I don't love it, but I can't afford a Nintendo Switch at the moment and I have the blues because I WANT TO PLAY AC NEW HORIZONS *cry cry*. Plus sharing is caring, right?

I just want to say a massive thankyou to Jake from Illustrator Jake for hosting such an amazing giveaway! It's so kind of you!! I adore my Kirby pins and I cannot wait to add more of your pins to my collection in the future ^.^ Let me know which is your favourite of these Kirby's, guys, and I wish you all a wonderful week!

Thankyou for reading!

More Super Cute Pins by Stami Studios

Hi lovelies! I hope you've all had a spooktacular first week of October, aka 31 days of Halloween :) I know I have! I've been doing a movie marathon/'horrorthon' and watching a horror that I've never seen before. each night. I love horror so it's been a lot of fun so far! Are any of you guys having a spooky movie marathon this month? Let me know in the comments what your favourite Halloweentime movie is.

Anyhow, on with today's post, which is not spookacular, but certainly cutetacular XD I need to stop, haha! It's a post for my fellow lovers of kawaii. And I hope you all enjoy it!

A photo showing the presentation card for a pin badge by the company Stami Studios. It is pink decorated with stars and plants in different colours

If you're a new reader of my blog, firstly thankyou so much for taking the time to visit my little corner of the internet, and secondly, you may not have heard of Stami Studios or their fabulous Super Cute Pin Club before, so let me fill you in :) Stami Studios is a store run by UK-based artist, Sam Rostami, selling the most adorable products, including clothing, jewellery and stationery. But my absolutely favourite things made by Stami Studios are their pin badges!! That is why I couldn't resist subscribing as soon as I discovered that they offered a monthly pin subscription, and today's post is going to be all about the pins I received from them in August and September.

Signing up to get a surprise pin every month will only cost you £8 each time (and free shipping if you're in the UK, although they do offer worldwide shipping), which is an incredible price considering the pins are always gorgeous and so well-made! I've been very much looking forward to sharing the last two pins I was sent in my subscription with you guys. I was wondering, do you prefer when I talk about several pins at once just like in my previous Super Cute Pin Club post (check it out here, to see the variety of designs you can expect), or would you like me to blog about each new pin as it arrives? Any feedback on this would be very much appreciated :) Well, it's about time that I showed you the pins!

A photo of a pin badge, a sleeping duck on a fluffy white cloud. the pin has a shiny gold outline

How sweet is this sleepy duck pin!!!? I love love love it!! Everything about the August pin is perfect in my opinion, and I was so delighted when I received it. There's just something so much cuter about sleeping animals, and this little ducky looks so snug nestled into the fluffy white cloud. I really like the tiny star and sparkle detailing, and yellow and blue is one of my absolute favourite colour combinations, as well. The bubble coming out of his nostril is such a wonderful addition to the design, too. There's nothing that I don't like about this pin and I am super happy that it is now part of my pin collection.

A photo of a pin badge, a sleeping duck on a fluffy white cloud

For those of you who are regular readers of my blog, you may have noticed that the packaging/presentation of the Super Cute Pin Club has changed, and not that I didn't love the old design featuring pastel polka dots and the cutest cats, but I am in love with this new design!! The individually packaged pins on the prettiest backing card look even more professional and fancy :) And they are much easier to store now in the tins where I keep all of my pin badges. The mixture of stars and plants on the card looks lovely, and the colours are so warm and vibrant. It's a 10/10 from me!

A photo of a pin badge, of a squirrel surrounded by strawberries and eating one of them

Here is the pin that arrived through my letterbox last month. The design for me just screams Summer so it was great timing to receive at the end of Summertime to give you one last dose of summer vibes before Autumn takes over! This little squirrel looks so pleased with himself that he's stumbled across a patch of strawberries and is happily feasting away on them :) He's even took a chunk out of the strawberry by his foot. How cute!

I am a big fan of the strawberry aesthetic, if that even makes any sense... I adore things that are decorated with a strawberry print, and will buy anything strawberry-related that I happen to come across whilst shopping. I'm not sure why! Other than strawberries always remind me of my childhood, since we grew them in our garden and I loved searching for any ripe ones whenever I was playing outside. So I was over the moon to get a pin featuring strawberries and I love the shade of red used for them; it just makes me crave the real fruit whenever I look at the pin! :D I'm also lovin' how the seeds covering the strawberries have been done in the same gold as the outline, because it makes them super eye-catching! I very much like the gold outline of both these pins in general (I usually prefer silver outlines), because I think it's really pretty and goes nicely with each of the colour schemes.

A photo of a pin badge, a squirrel surrounded by strawberries. the pin has a shiny gold outline

See how much it shines when you angle the pin! I can't wait to wear them out and about, especially during sunny weather because they are going to sparkle beautifully when the sunshine catches that gold outline *all the heart-eyed emojis*. Aside from the strawberries, the next best detail of this pin for me is that glorious, curled tail! It reminds me so much of a dormouse... so I'm questioning whether this is in fact a dormouse and not a squirrel? What do you think? Nonetheless, the tails looks so floofy and makes my kawaii-loving heart happy :)

A photo showing two pin badges: one of a sleeping duck on a cloud and one of a squirrel surrounded by strawberries

Awww!! They are so precious! Something that is lovely about these pins is that the animals both look really comfy, Mr Strawberry in his squishy bed of fruits and sleepy duck on his pillow in the sky :) Each and every one of the pin badges that I have been sent now (other than one) have been big, and that's something that I think is so awesome about this subscription. Large, colourful pins are my favourite because of how much they stand out. Plus, it is much easier to not forget that you're wearing a pin and accidently knock it off without realising until it's too late >.< I can't be the only one who's done that, right?

Another fantastic feature of Stami Studio's pins is the fact that they are doubled backed, so this is an added safeguard against them falling off your clothing, bags, etc. The backs are made me of smooth rubber and so there's no risk of being scratched like with the traditional metal pin backs. Who doesn't love a bit of pink too?

So, those are the stunning, fabulously kawaii pins that I was recently sent, and I am so excited to see if I get a Halloween themed pin for October, but we'll have to see! No matter what theme/design it is, I am sure that it will be adorable! I'm curious, which pin is your favourite of the two? Mine has to be little ducky slumber boi :) I feel I can personally relate to him at the moment... all I want to do is sleep! Although I wish I had a fluffy cloud pillow T_T. Thankyou Stami Studios for bringing so much cuteness into my life each month! And I hope you guys enjoyed me passing it forward and bringing cuteness into your lives as well, haha!

Thankyou for reading!

Stami Studios Super Cute Pin Club | Review

Hey everyone! Today's post is one for my fellow pin badge lovers & collectors! Due to the fact that I can't even blogger, I decided to wait until I'd received a few months worth of my Stami Studios Super Cute Pin Club subscriptions, and then do a 'big' post all about the fabulous pins I'd received! If you'd like to see the first ever pin I got from this awesome monthly subscription, check out this post. Now, without further ado, it's time to show you guys what I was sent! Enjoy!

I just wanted to give you all a little information about the Stami Studios Super Cute Pin Club before I show you my pins from March, April, May and June This subscription as I mentioned is a monthly one. For just £7.00 each time, you are sent a surprise pin, designed by Sam Rostami, the artist behind Stami Studios. It's been really fun to get a pin each month with no particular theme advertised/set beforehand (well, you can see a teaser/preview over on Instagram, but I like to avoid them if I can). Who doesn't love surprises!? I think that the price is AMAZING! The pins are always of a great quality, and shipping for me here in the UK is free, although it's very affordable for shipping to other countries. Anyhow, you're all here to see the pins, so before I start rambling... here they are!

A pin badge of an Animal Crossing girl in a basket of turnips

How flippin' adorable is this 'Turnip Lover' pin!? This was the pin that I was sent in March :) I think it's absolutely gorgeous, so bold and eye-catching! It is now also the largest pin in my ever-growing collection, and is super sturdy. I love it! If you're a fan of the fabulous game that is Animal Crossing, you'll be able to see that the design is based on that! I really adored playing Animal Crossing: Wild World on my Nintendo DS when I was a teenager, and will forever adore the characters because they are all so sweet!

My favourite thing about this pin has to be the cheerful, excited expression on turnip girls face! It just reminds me of how hyper I get when I am excited, and it makes me smile everytime I look at the pin :D Hopefully when I wear it out and about, it will have the same effect on each person who sees it! I also really love the shade of pink used for the characters hair. It reminds me of candyfloss! What's the first thing that comes to mind when you see this particular shade of pink? Let me know in the comments :) I went through a phase when playing Animal Crossing, of refreshing the introduction part of the game until my character had pink hair so this pin is super nostalgic. I'm really happy with it!

A pin badge of an Avocado with cute kittens inside

The next pin that I was sent, in April this year, was this superb Avocado cat, or Avocato! Because of this pin design, I am now going to forever think of these sweet little kitties everytime I see an avocado, haha! I am yet to try this fruit, but if I open one and I'm not greeted by two cats then I'm going to be disappointed :D This pin is quite small which I like, and it is he most subtle of all the pins that I've received from Stami Studios so far, but I very much like that about it. I appreciate simplicity, especially when something is simple yet very cute, just like this pin badge.

What I love most about this pin are the solemn expressions on the cats faces... I don't know why but I have always found things with almost sombre looks on their faces that much more adorable! Who agrees? I also like that the kitties are holding hands, and think that this design adapted into two separate pins, one for each half, would make fantastic friendship pins! Did any of you guys used to have friendship necklaces or bracelets with your best friend back when you were at school?

A pin badge of a cute tiger cub sitting in a bunch of colourful leaves

LOOK AT THIS LITTLE TIGER CUB!! Isn't it one of the most cutest things you've ever seen? Those sparkly blue eyes make me melt from cuteness overload! And those paws, and that tiny fang poking out of its mouth ^ . ^ Oh my gosh, this pin that I was sent in my April subscription is just wonderful! It was a lovely change to receive a pin badge designed in bright shades, rather than pastel (even though I still prefer pastel colour schemes). I'm lovin' the vibrant colours used for the leaves, as they make me picture a tiger cub hiding in a tropical jungle. As a nature nerd, I adore flora as much as fauna and leaves especially, so even though the tiger is lovely, I actually think the leaves are my favourite detail on this pin! Overall, the pin is so colourful that it really grabs your attention, and so I can't wait to wear it :)

A pin badge of a girl cosplaying as pikachu

The final pin that I have to show you guys today is this marvellous 'Pika Girl' that arrived through my letterbox in June! It was perfect timing to receive a cosplay themed pin as June is the month that my local MCM Comic Con event is held. I usually go every year, however this year I couldn't attend and therefore couldn't cosplay myself >.< so the next best thing is to get a cosplay pin, right? The first time I attended Manchester MCM four years ago, I cosplayed as Pichu so this pin seems like it was made just for me! When I first saw it, it brought back all those memories of my first convention, of being in awe of everyone's epic cosplay and how delighted I was to be in a huge hall filled with all kinds of nerdy and kawaii goodness!

It's so tough to choose one favourite thing about this pin because I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I really like the colour yellow, how inviting and happy it is, and I think the yellow and gold combination goes so well together. I love the fact that Pika girl is starry-eyed, because again it just takes me back to how wowed I was at my first con! The stars/sparkles are a really nice addition to her look, which I think is rather cheeky :D This is another reason I like the pin. She could be cosplaying or she could totally be dressing up in a sexy Pikachu costume XD I like her big rosy-red cheeks, too, and how the tail looks heart-shaped. Seriously though, what's not to love about this pin??

A collection of four pin badges made by Stami Studios

So those are my last four months worth of Super Cute Pin Club arrivals :) I'd love to know which is your personal favourite and why? It was a challenge for me to choose between Turnip Lover and Pika Girl, but to be honest, Pika has to be the winner for me! I am over the moon with all of my new pins though, and I cannot recommend this subscription service enough. It's really nice to have random pins sent to me every month, and even though I've been a subscriber since February, I still can't believe how inexpensive it is! If you love pin badges, then you should definitely sign yourself up :)

A photo of a presentation card holding a pikachu girl pin badge

Before I finish up my post, I wanted to show you all how each of my pins arrived. They come inside a simple, plain padded envelope, and inside is the card that you can see the cover of in my first photograph. Opening up this card, you are greeted by a little thankyou note and your pin. The kawaii cats printed on this card are sooooo cute, and I love the oranges, yellows and pinks. Makes me think of fruit salad sweets :D The sparkles are pretty too!

As a member of the pin club, you get 20% off any order on the Stami Studios website, plus access to special member shop where you can purchase some pins that are not available to non-subscribers, as well as the cutest free downloadable wallpapers for your phone. Anyhow, I hope you all enjoyed checking out these gorgeous pin badges. Have a wonderful week, lovelies!
