Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box | Review

Hello guys! Ugh, hasn't the weather just been dreadful lately!? It's making me long for Spring to arrive! And I know that will bring with it 'April showers' but along with those we'll get flowers blossoming and trees growing buds and all the baby animals! Thinking about the fact it's going to be officially the start of Springtime tomorrow made me realise that I'm yet to show you guys what I got in my last two Pusheen subscription boxes! I was terrible last year at blogging, if you're a regular reader you'll know why, and for that I'm sorry guys, but to be honest, considering the theme of the box I am going to show you all today, I feel like it's perfect timing :) The theme is a cosy one, and with all this miserable weather in the aftermath of Storm Gareth (I love that they name storms like this! haha), I'm sure we've all been trying to make ourselves as comfy and snug as possible, pretty much hibernating in our homes! Anyhow, I hope you all enjoy reading this long-awaited post!

The Box of the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

The Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box doesn't list a theme but some of the descriptions on the little information card they give you in each box say relax so that's what I'm going to asumme it is! Although I'd maybe call it more of a self-care box. You can decide for yourselves :)

Before I show you guys what items I received, I should explain a little more about the Pusheen Box for anyone who's not heard of it before. This super awesome subscription is a quarterly one, which means that subscribers are sent a box every season/three months or so, and the boxes are themed in association with the corresponding season :) You can check out my Summer 2018 Box here for more insight into the themes and such.

Every box comes with an exclusive vinyl figure that matches the theme in some way, but all of the other 7-9 items are a surprise! The subscription boxes are pretty pricey but considering you get a big box of excellent quality, and mostly exclusive, items, and you pay the same 'in bunk' as what you'd pay anyway over three months if you were subscribed to a monthly box of a similar quality, it's really not bad at all. I love the Pusheen Box, and I'm always super happy with the items I'm sent so I don't really mind the price, which works out at around £55 (that's including the shipping) plus the silly customs fee if you live in the UK like me. So, without further ado, here is the contents of the Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box...

A photo showing all the items from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

I am in love with the pastel shades colour scheme of this version of the Autumn Pusheen Box! As much as I love the browns and rusts associated with this wonderful season, my most favourite season of the year, it makes a nice change to have something a little different, plus it makes the items even more useful because you can use them all year round, not that I wouldn't anyway, but I know a lot of people like to keep their home décor and such matching whatever season it is. Me, on the other hand still has some of my Halloween decorations displayed around my bedroom XD The pastels also go perfectly with the overall theme of the box because they set the mood for relaxation, don't you think?

There were eight items in this Pusheen subscription box, and I think that whoever packs these boxes needs an award because they manage to fit so much in the space available, and I have no idea how they do it! Because I can never get every single item back into the box! But maybe that's just me being crap at packaging :D Anyhow, the items were: Pusheen stress ball, a toothbrush cover and toothbrush, a hand towel,  a loofah, an exclusive themed plushie, a Lazy Pusheen vinyl figure, a soap dispenser, and...

A photo showing a dressing gown from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

A Pusheen dressing gown/robe! Seriously how pretty is this item!? I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I am always super delighted whenever Pusheen Box include a jumper, but this is even better! Each box usually contains some type of wearable, from t-shirts to flip-flops, and Pusheen Box unlike so many other subscription boxes has more than like two plus sizes, so I can actually wear the clothes I receive! (I'm looking at you geeky subscription boxes... -_-). I never expected to get a dressing gown though and oh my goodness, it's so bloody soft, and feels really nice to wear! I've only tried it on thus far because it's so lovely that I'm a little worried that I will somehow ruin it. I am in the habit of ruining clothes with my clumsiness and  epic lack of hand-eye coordination skills :D

A photo showing the dressing gown design from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

You can literally see just how lovely the quality of the material is just from the picture :) It's lush! I really like the shade of blue that they've chosen too as it's one of my favourite colours, it seems more summery than autumn vibes, but I don't care, it's fabulous! I am such a fan of fluffy white clouds on a blue background designs, so I can't not adore this dressing gown, and as if that's not enough, it is covered in the most adorable Pusheens! The balloon ones reminds me of Disney's Up which is a wonderful movie, and they add the perfect splash of colour. The Pusheens that have a speech bubble saying 'Hi!' just make me think of that high-pitched meow that cats give you when they're greeting you, and that makes my heart happy :3

A photo showing a Pusheen stress ball from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

This item is more of a squishy than a stress ball, which is fine because I love squishies :) I don't own that many so it's awesome to have received an adorable, good quality one. I'm curious to see if it will help my anxiety, because I know that a lot of people use them for that. I'll let you guys know if it does!

This item seems a little random when compared with the other items in the box, which together seem to make up a bathroom or bathtime box! The reason why I would consider it a self-care box is because each of the items help you to look after your well-being in some way. I think the theme of this box is fantastic! Even though this stress ball could be seen as more of a filler item, it's still useful and when compared with the kinds of filler items that I've been sent in other subscription boxes in the past, it's a great item! I like that it's the original Pusheen too, who is forever adorable in her simplicity.

A photo showing two items from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018, a loofah and a soap dispenser

A photo showing a cute Pusheen loofah from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

How sweet is this rubber tag attached to the loofah!? I absolutely love the design of it! I imagine that I look something like this Pusheen when I put on the dressing gown that I received XD Chubby and cute, with the same expression of pure joy on my face because of how soft the dressing gown is! As you can see from my group photo of all the items above, it also matches the plushie that I was sent too which is awesome. When I've finished with the loofah, I can cut the rope 'handle' and keep this tag, put it on a keyring or whatever :) It's brilliant quality too. The loofah is just a standard loofah, but I'm happy to receive an item that is actually useful.

As for the soap dispenser, I very much like that it's simplistic in design, and I can see it going well with any bathroom colour scheme. The reasons that I love Pusheen so much is because a) she's a cat and cats are amazing!, b) she's chubby and adorable and looks so huggable, c) I love grey animals! & d) I really like her simple design, it just really appeals to me! So, I am always very glad that so much Pusheen merch just keeps to her original design, and although it's nice to have Pusheenicorns and Pusheenosaurus, etc., plain, grey Pusheen will always be personally my favourite. And so the soap dispenser suits my tastes, and again, it's something that I can get a lot of use out of. The Pusheen Box is so fantastic because it appeals to lovers of kawaii, but unlike other kawaii boxes, it is designed more with adults in mind, and thus includes items that are practical and handy, but still super adorable!

A photo showing a plushie from the Pusheen Box Autumn 2018

Even though the dressing gown just has to be my favourite item in the entire box, it is closely followed by this spectacular plushie! I am a collector of plushies, I have loved them all of my life and while a lot of people grow out of them as they get older, I just found that I wanted to buy more now that I was an adult (Pfft XD) and had money that I could spend on whatever I wanted... apparently I wanted a lot of plushies! Despite the fact that I am sooner or later going to be overrun with plushies and have no room left to actually sleep in my bedroom, I am always happy to get more to add to my collection! Who else is the same?

I have received three mini plushies now from Pusheen Box and I adore them all, but this one might be the best in my opinion. I just love the colours, the sky blue goes so nicely with the grey, and I love that me and Pusheen will be twinning when I'm wearing my new dressing gown. The plushie is just as soft and so squishy and ideal for cuddling! I like that the plushies are mini as it makes them easier to display and store, and I wouldn't mind receiving more in future boxes so I can create a little army of Pusheens! (and they can help me finally achieve world domination, who knows! :') … that sounded funnier in my head, I tried!).

Behind the plushie you can kind of see the toothbrush cover, I would have taken a photo of it on it's own but I feel like my blog posts are always so picture heavy and I don't know if that makes them annoying to read or whatever, I'd really appreciate your feedback on this guys! But yeah, I was certainly happy to receive this item because I was just going to buy some more anyway, and I usually purchase the boring, clear plastic ones, so it will be a lovely change to be greeted by Pusheen each time I brush my teeth :) It's cool that they threw in a toothbrush as well, plus I love the colour of it, it's like a mint green/turquoise-ish shade.

A photo showing a lazy Pusheen vinyl figure from Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box

Finally, it's time to talk about the vinyl figure! As a collector of vinyl figures (yes, I collect a lot of things...), I always enjoy getting new figures and I love that these ones are exclusive to the subscription boxes. I wasn't really a fan of the design of the vinyl figure from the previous box I received so I was hoping the Autumn box would bring with it a figure that I loved. I was not disappointed! This vinyl figure is the smallest of all of the ones I've been sent, and I really like how Pusheen is laying on her side. I also love that she's winking, so cute! I can't wait for an opportunity to use this little cutie for my toy photography page, which you can have a nosey at over on Instagram

I said finally, but then I realised that I almost forgot to share my thoughts on the hand towel that was included in the Autumn 2018 box. I was impressed with the size of it, because upon first glance I assumed it was a flannel but it's a typical sized hand towel. I like that it's made from a thin material because it won't take up too much room in a suitcase or overnight bag. It's a lovely colour, although I usually opt for darker colours on account of the colours fading with each wash, some pale towels don't take many washes to look completely faded. It's still a really nice towel though and I don't even know if I'm going to be able to bring myself to use it yet! There's always one item that I receive in each Pusheen Box that I find myself saying this about, but it's true. They are too cute and precious and I don't want to wreck them. Especially this towel because the design on it is incredibly adorable. It's Pusheen sleeping on a cloud! There's always one item in the box that directly relates to the details on the outside of the actual box, and this is the one for 2018's Autumn edition.

A photo showing all of the items from the Autumn 2018 Pusheen Box

Here's a better look at the toothbrush cover guys! I'd love to know what your favourite item is in this box, and what you think of the overall theme in general. Let me know in the comments! I hope that you all love reading about the Pusheen subscription box as much as I enjoy sharing it with you all. It is such an exciting box to get in the post, which makes up for the nice customs fee that comes along with it >.<. I still think it's worth it as it's the only subscription box that I've always found to have such a consistent standard and quality. I know that I will like the majority of the items I get, that they will always be well-made and something that I can actually get use out of! (or will make a lovely present for one of my loved ones who will). Even if the theme ends up being one that isn't really my cup of tea, I know that I will still enjoy the items themselves, because it's Pusheen and I love her character!

It won't be long until the Spring Box arrives, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what the theme will be! Back in 2016, I got my first ever Pusheen Box and it had a very food-oriental theme. Then I missed 2017's Spring box because I was going through some money issues and had to unsubscribe for a while, and that box had a Pusheen Easter bunny on the front so I was gutted that I couldn't get it! Last Spring, the box had a celebration theme to commemorate the 10th Pusheen Box, including items of gold, turquoise and pink, featuring very Pinterest worthy designs. So I have no inkling what this year's theme will be and I love surprises! Before it arrives, I'll make sure to blog all about my last box of 2018, Winter's Pusheen Box. Have a wonderful rest of the week everyone!

Thankyou for reading!

Summer 2018 Pusheen Box | Review

Hi lovelies! You may have read the title of this post and thought Summer? It's no where near Summer yet! And of course, you'd be right :D However today I am bringing you guys a little helping of Summer vibes! As you all know, well if you're one of my wonderful regular readers, my 'blogging game' was very much depleted in 2018 and there were a lot of posts in my schedule that never got written, photography that didn't get taken, and notes full of scribbled ideas that are now lost. You guys voted in a poll over on my Twitter that you still wanted to see what I got inside last year's Spring and Summer Pusheen subscription boxes, despite it being quite a while since I received them. And although I posted my Spring one (you can read it here if you're interested), stressful life situations got in the way and the Summer Box Review never came. It might be many months since Summer has been and gone, but I said I'd share it, so here we are! In a way, today's post is akin to those 'see past boxes' options on subscription box websites, and I always like to look at those before I deciding whether or not to order them for myself, so think of my post like that! I also love a good nosey at what people get in their subscription boxes, even if I don't plan on getting it myself :D Whatever you're reading for, I hope you enjoy what I have to say! I'm sure those of you who are not fans of the colder seasons will appreciate the theme anyhow :)

A photo of the Pusheen Subscription Box, Summer 2018 edition

I always like to kick start these kinds of posts by explaining more about the subscription box service itself and how it works, so if you like what you've seen once you have finished reading, you have the information to go and grab one for yourselves :) Many subscription boxes out there are received monthly and although they can still be fabulous, it means they are usually filled with items that are valued according to the subscription fee you pay. This often results in you getting fewer items, especially if they are high quality or official branded merchandise. Some subscription boxes are therefore prone to pack more 'filler items' into their boxes, that lots of people don't enjoy as much. This is not always the case of course and I have gotten monthly subscription boxes in the past that I was very happy with...

Anyhow before I get too off point, the difference with the Pusheen Box is that it's one of the quarterly subscriptions that are becoming more and more popular. You basically receive a box once every season (three months approx.) and I think that you get a lot more value for your money with this type of subscription. It works out that you pay an upfront fee for each season that would work out at around £20 per box if it was divided monthly, which I think is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the items that you get inside the Pusheen Box. There is a theme to each of the boxes and that is always fun! With every edition, you get a vinyl figure that matches whatever the theme is, and I have found that each and every other item in the box to be useful in some way. This is rare with subscription boxes, where you can receive things that you are not really sure what to do with :D Before you all get bored, haha, it's time to talk about what I discovered inside 2018's Summer Pusheen Box!

Birds-eye view of the entire contents of the Pusheen Summer 2018 box

Voila! No matter what the theme, the contents of the Pusheen Subscription Box is always very aesthetically pleasing, especially if like me, you're a fan of all things pastel and cute! Despite having been subscribed to the box for ages now, I am still surprised by how pretty everything is each time I unbox them :) I feel like I say this everytime, but something that I really appreciate about the Pusheen Box is how much they think about the presentation and packaging of, not only the box itself when they make it match the theme, but also in the way they pack all of the individual items inside. The more fragile items are always in a box, which includes whatever protective 'padding' is required to keep the item safe, and they always make sure to put other items inside plastic so that they don't get scratched, etc. There are other companies that do this too to a degree, but CultureFly, the manufacturers of Pusheen Box even decorate the packaging, with descriptions and pictures of the items inside, VS the plain boxes that other companies typically use.

As you can see from my photo above, I received 8 items in the Summer 2018 box: Pusheenicorn pot, a plushie, a pack of super adorable paper straws, USB desktop fan, Pusheen & friends tank top, the exclusive vinyl figure that comes in every box (with a different design each time of course), a Pusheenicorn water bottle, and lastly, an inflatable drink float. The overall theme of this box seems to be Summer vacation, with a dash of unicorn fabulousness randomly thrown in, which is not something I'm going to complain about! Unicorns plus cat equals a happy Sarah!

Very cute Pusheen postcard that comes with the Summer 2018 Pusheen Box

Another cute touch to the Pusheen Box is the artwork on their item information card/postcard. It is always super adorable, and would look awesome pinned up on a notice board or art wall, or even put into a frame. It makes me wish that I was still living at university or just living in my own place in general, so that I could put them up on the fridge, and change them up with each new season :) Don't you agree that they'd look great on the fridge? Haha :D Oh my gosh, how cute is the sloth on this postcard though!

A summer-themed vinyl figure of Pusheen as a surfer riding a wave

A summer-themed vinyl figure of Pusheen as a surfer riding a wave

Here's what the exclusive vinyl figure that we received in the Summer 2018 box looks like up close. Something that I like about these vinyl figures, other than the fact that I am a collector of vinyl figures and so always appreciate adding more to my ever-growing collection, is that they still reflect the simplistic, iconic look of Pusheen the cat that we know and love, but just make little additions that are awesome!

Based on the previous vinyl figures we've gotten in past boxes, I'm not going to lie and say that I love this Summer 2018 edition, but this might just be down to my personal opinion. It is a very cool design and I like the translucent blue part of the figure that represents the wave that Surfer Pusheen is riding. As a toy photographer, I am excited about how this figure might look on photos when taken on a beach, and it is very summery, so I think it would be great to display in your house around this time to bring a little bit of the joys of Summer indoors :) I don't know, I am more of a fan of pastel or darker shades, so the vibrant colour scheme of the figure does not appeal to me like the previous figures have. What do you all think of this figure?

A plushie of Pusheen wearing a rubber ring for swimming

It's always really nice to find a cuddly Pusheen hiding inside the subscription box, and this one is lovely! The design is very simplistic, which I like as it doesn't distract away from the incredibly adorable expression on Pusheen's face! The plushie feels very soft and is made from high quality material, just like every single Pusheen plush I have ever seen in person. They do a really good job with designing them, and I would love to get more! I've been tempted to purchase one of their Pusheenimals ones for a while now :)

I really like when plushies are squishy and this one is, however the material that the ring is made out of isn't so that's a shame. It is a much more rough fabric, which makes sense because it's supposed to stand out against the soft texture of Pusheen herself, but I wish they'd made it with the same silky smooth fabric of the plushie regardless. I love the colours they've chosen, and the item reminds me of myself in a way :D I am chubby like Pusheen and also I cannot swim, so I'd just be floating around in the water with something inflatable to keep me from drowning like this ring, haha! Thanks Pusheen Box for another fantastic addition to my plushie army!

A vest top/tank top featuring Pusheen the cat characters at the beach

A vest top/tank top featuring Pusheen the cat characters at the beach

Seriously, how flippin' cute is this design of Pusheen & her friends, well brother and sister, enjoying one of the best things that Summer has to offer, ice-cream desserts!? Look how sweet they are, with their excited little faces! I might have squeeee'd a little when I first looked at the design on this tank top, or vest top, as we more usually refer to them here in the UK. Each Pusheen Box includes some sort of clothing item, whether it be a t-shirt or a jumper or a hat, etc. I am really happy because unlike other subscription services/companies, the makers behind Pusheen Box actually understand that people come in all shapes and sizes, and that plus size people want to enjoy their boxes just as much as anyone else (I am looking at you Harry Potter subscription boxes...). The clothing that I receive in the Pusheen Box always fits me well and makes me feel adorable when I'm wearing it, and how could I not with their brilliant designs!

I wish that this vest top would have been a tee to be honest, but that's only because I don't really wear vest tops/tank tops, I don't like how much of a gap there is under the arms, but I can still rock it under a thin cardigan throughout Summer though I guess. I don't want to miss out on wearing it anyhow because the design is lovely; I really like the blue and yellow colour scheme and how it represents sky and sand, and the fluffy white clouds are a sweet addition too. The fact that the colours are bright and cheerful, but are still pretty pale in shade is something I like too. But my favourite thing about the vest top is the fact that Pip is on it!! Pip is my favourite Pusheen character; he's the black kitty you can see above, and is the little brother of Pusheen and Stormy (middle cat). Pip is eating the best dessert on the print, a huge ice-cream sundae, which is what I'd choose to eat too! I'm curious, what's your favourite ice-cream flavour? Let me know in the comments. Mine's mint chocolate chip!

A photo of a Pusheen desk fan

I have literally wanted a desk fan for what feels like forever now, in preparation for whenever I manage to get my bedroom decorated and my new desk set up (I know I know, it's starting to look like it won't happen for years at this rate! Oops). I know I wanted one with a cute and/or geeky design, but I just couldn't find the right one that wasn't too expensive to both buy and then ship to the UK. Pusheen Box have now saved me from the endless searching! I like that this one is USB-powered, because it means wherever my laptop goes, the fan can too, which is going to be super helpful in the hotter months, but also in general because being a blogger means spending a lot of time typing away on your laptop or computer, and these things get hot! I like that the Pusheen Box desk fan is much larger than other versions I was looking at, and overall it has a simplistic design that will go well within any bedroom décor scheme :)

A photo of a selection of Pusheen paper straws with cute designs on them

I am trying to make little changes to my life that are more friendly to the environment, which you may already know if you've seen my first post of 2019 all about using brown paper for wrapping presents (check it out here). One of the things I've been very interested in for a while is getting one of those metal drinking straws that you can fold and store away in a little capsule case thing, to take with me to restaurants, etc. However they look very tricky to clean, even with some companies providing special brushes to clean inside the straws, and as an alternative I have been looking into using paper straws instead, until I can find out more about the metal option. So this item is perfect for helping me make that change :) If I can ever bring myself to use them that is, because they are gorgeous!

It's excellent that you get fifteen straws in the pack, so I can always use them but save a couple to keep, because I like to hoard random things that look cute and never use them apparently XD I have a problem. As you can see, you get three different designs, five of each, and they are all equally as pretty. I love how colourful they are, and they feature so many wonderful things like ice-creams, rainbows, stars, fluffy clouds, gemstones and Pusheen herself... in the form of Pusheenicorn too! I cannot even choose a favourite, but I'd love to know which one you guys like best :) These paper straws are going to come in handy in the Summertime, when it feels somehow more refreshing to sip cold drinks through a straw when you're out and about in the sunshine, or dealing with the sweltering heat in the shade where I am normally to be found!

A pusheen/pusheenicorn mini tea pot or watering can

A pusheen/pusheenicorn mini tea pot or watering can

This item is listed simply a Pusheenicorn pot, even though it is a multi-purpose item and very wonderful indeed! Firstly, look at all of the eye-catching colours in this cat-unicorn's mane and tail! It looks so nice and makes me think of sweets, and just makes me smile whenever I look at it. This 'pot' can be used, without the lid, as a pen pot or to store little bits and bobs in. But it's also a tea pot and can double as a watering can!

When I first saw it, it reminded me of an item I received in my first ever Pusheen box, which was another small multi-functional ceramic pot, however that one had a hole in the base so that it could be used as a flower pot, whereas this one doesn't. You could totally use both items in tandem, one as a planter and the Pusheenicorn to water your plant :) How cute!

The size of this little tea pot makes me think of tea parties and I feel a mighty need to take it along to a picnic in the park! Hopefully that can be arranged once the weather improves :) Again, I love that Pusheen's typical simple, grey design has been subtly enhanced, and isn't too garish because of the use of more pastel colours. I really adore this item!

A Pusheen water bottle with a design of ice cream sprinkles and cute Pusheenicorn

What is more useful an item in Summer than a water bottle, and who doesn't want to show off this one whenever they are forced to endure the blazing sun! Haha, I'm kidding, Summer has it's wonders like any other season, and sunny weather can be amazing... but yeah, it's very important to keep hydrated, especially if you're a spoonie and so you can't go wrong with receiving a water bottle in a Summer subscription box.

This one has such a stunning design too, from the rainbow sprinkles, to the Pusheenicorn eating an ice-cream, and the bright sunshine-yellow cap! It is narrow and won't carry as much water as some other bottles can, so it's a good item to take with you on short outings or if you know you're going somewhere that you can refill it. The pink rubber handle looks very sturdy too, so you can have a firm grip on your water bottle if you are running or bike riding or during whatever outdoorsy activity you may like to participate in when it's nice out.

With the design that was on the front of the box, the sprinkles/hundreds & thousands, I was hoping to see some similarly decorated items in the box so I was very glad to uncover this water bottle in my Pusheen 2018 Summer box, as it is the only item that has sprinkles on it! I don't mind too much though because all of the items are great, but I feel personally like it would have been better if the makers would have designed an ice-cream themed vinyl figure, maybe a sundae with Pusheen sitting on top, decorated with sprinkles and with a scattering of other yummy dessert toppings. Sorry Surfer Pusheen!

A selection of items from the Pusheen 2018 Summer Box

So, these three items are my favourite of all those I got in my Summer 2018 Pusheen Box subscription. I think they are the sweetest and most adorable additions, and I am really over the moon to have received them. I cannot wait to have them displayed in my bedroom once all my decorating is done and I can finally stop living out of cardboard boxes, not being able to find any of my possessions when I need to, ugh >.< In conclusion, there has never been a Pusheen Box that I did not love, even when the theme wasn't really something that appealed to me per se, it is impossible to not love something with Pusheen on it, because I am pretty obsessed with this loveable, round ball of fur :3

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the inflatable drink float thingie! I couldn't photograph it because it is the only one of the items I received that I'm not really going to get any use out of. I cannot swim so I won't be spending my Summer days in a pool, unless it involves sitting in a kid's paddling pool in my garden complaining about the heat XD so I would rather gift the item to a friend if they are going on holiday or something, and so I wanted to leave it sealed in its packaging. However, I do think this item is great, even though it's not something I can use, so many people will be able too, and I mean you could technically inflate it and stand it on the grass and whatnot to use as a little table for your drink, haha. I think drink floats for a pool look rather fancy, and Pusheen Box is helping people be their best fancy yet kawaii selves over Summer with this item!

A selection of items from the Pusheen 2018 Summer Box

Well, that's all I can say about the Summer 2018 Pusheen Box! Apologies guys, for taking so long to share it with you all. I hope you enjoyed this post, regardless of the fact it's early 2019 and currently Wintertime :D I feel like the fabulous items in this box deserved to be showcased, and I love writing about subscription boxes! It's going to be very interesting to see what Pusheen Box will come up with for this Summer. I have received an Autumn Box and a Winter Box since this one arrived, and I will blog about them too as soon as possible, so keep a look out on my social media for those if you're a fellow lover of all things cutesy and cat related. Have a wonderful rest of the week everyone!

Thankyou for reading!

Pusheen Box 2018 Spring Edition | Review

Hi everyone! This post has been a ridiculously long time coming! This month (well and in the last week of September too), I have been more productive than I have been in what feels like forever now! A week ago today, it was my birthday and I turned 26! Wow, I really don't feel 26 but does anyone ever feel their age!? It seems like the last ten years have just flown by! But before I get carried away talking about how much has happened over these years, I'll tell you how I spent my birthday, haha! I went for a carvery meal with my mom, and it was delicious :) I received such wonderful gifts from my loved ones, and I'll be blogging all about them some time next week, so keep an eye out for that if you're curious to see what I got! My best friend & I were born only nine days apart, (and she likes to remind me that she's older than me ;p), and for several years now, we've had a joint birthday celebration. We usually always go for a meal, and on Thursday we decided to go to Brewers Fayre because we had a coupon for an amazing 2 for 1 deal on main meals! We spent under £20 each and each got a main course, a dessert, refill drinks, and we even decided to get a cheeky second dessert to share just before we left :D I regret nothing! It was scrumptious. Today, I am off out to see the new Venom movie and oh my gosh, I am so EXCITED!

Anyhow, going out feels like it has given me the push that I needed to get my life back on track and I am determined to make October a productive month! :) I feel like I say this every month but something just feels different this time, and I hope that this feeling lasts! Right now, I am feeling motivated today and I am determined to get as much done as I can whilst I'm in this mindset... which means finally sharing my Spring Pusheen Box with you all!

Quite a while ago now, after I'd just received this year's Summer Edition of the Pusheen subscription box, I shared a poll on a few of my social media accounts asking you guys whether I should still share a post all about the Spring Box, or just move onto blogging about the Summer one. However, most of the voters opted for me to do posts about both of the boxes, and so it's about time that I got this done! Please forgive my delay everyone, I'm the worst blogger lately! Hopefully the cuteness overload that you are going to get from this post will make up for it :D Enjoy!

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

First of all, I'd just like to talk about how much I appreciate the design that goes into each of the Pusheen Boxes. They always decorate the box in a way that reflects the theme that you are going to find inside, which I just love! You don't usually find this with other subscription boxes, where the company/creator normally send you the same design of box each time, whether it's a monthly box or a quarterly one like the Pusheen Box. I also like that the Pusheen Box comes covered in a plastic wrap so it's less likely to get scratched and ruin the pretty design, although sometimes this does still happen but that's not really the fault of Pusheen Box themselves.

Anyhow, if you've never heard of the Pusheen Box before, it's an amazing seasonal subscription box put together by CultureFly. It seems pretty pricey when you are paying $60 for a subscription box (plus shipping), but when you bare in mind that monthly subscription boxes are usually around £25 each, then you'll realise that the Pusheen Box is actually a really good value for money. I much prefer paying this much for a big box of great quality, useful items than £15-25 each month for other kinds of subscription box that often contain a few awesome things and then lots of, usually really random, filler items. Even when the items in the Pusheen Box haven't really been something that I would choose to buy individually, they have still all been useful and I have ended up using them anyway, when I didn't think I would! So without further ado, let's get to what was inside the Spring 2018 box!!

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

Ta-da! Just look at this colour scheme!! It's gorgeous, and so are all of the items themselves! The Spring edition Pusheen Box includes ten fantastic items, including the monthly vinyl figure, which is always designed to match the overall theme of the box. This time, the theme is Celebration and that's because this box marks the 10th box to be sent out to subscribers! They've added a celebratory pin badge to the box for the special occasion, and as a collector of pins, I think that's awesome!! Keep reading for a closer look at all of this lovely Pusheen merch :) What's your first impression of the contents?

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

Since the 10th box celebration pin encompasses the theme of this addition of the Pusheen Box, I thought it only right to talk about it first. As a pin collector, I'm pretty biased when it comes to pin badges, especially when I am sent them as surprises! I am always going to love receiving adorable, top quality pins to add to my ever-growing collection, and this one is so pretty! I'm actually not a big fan of the colour gold, and if it wasn't for the fact that a) it's a pin, and b) it's got Pusheen on it, I probably wouldn't like it much based on the fact that it's gold. However, how can anyone dislike this pin!? This balloon theme just makes me think of Disney's UP, which is a wonderful movie and so I can overlook the fact that it's gold. I don't know why I don't like gold that much! Are you a fan of the colour yourself? How about the pin? You know what else this pin makes me think of, those gold star stickers of achievement, that you would get on your work in primary school! Well done Pusheen box, it's 10 gold stars for you!

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

Awwww, isn't Pusheen just so adorable!? I love how chubby she is! I really love seeing this design of her too, were she's sitting as a ball of fluff with her feet tucked up underneath her. Too cute! I'm super happy that they've chosen this design for these two items above: a tape dispenser and a mouse pad! Even though these items both don't really fit in with the theme of the box, I still love them because they are practical items that I will definitely use! One of my favourite things about the Pusheen Box is that even the 'filler' items are great quality and always something that I'm going to get some use out of!

I have been after a mouse pad for a while now, to use on my new desk (when I eventually finish decorating, it's taking me months and months to get around to doing it, and my desk is currently living in the hallway in a huge flatpack box which is taking up all the space, along with several other Ikea boxes, oops!). What I love about this one is how soft and squishy it is, and that unlike other mouse pads I've had in the past, the top isn't a hard plastic material, that is raised enough off of the desktop to eventually make my wrist ache when I've been using my computer for a few hours. This mouse pad is pretty much flat, and it's going to look adorable sitting on my desk :)

If you've been following my blog for a while now, you'll know that I'm pretty stationery obsessed, and so you can imagine how much I really like this tape dispenser! I'm yet to own a cute tape dispenser, so I'm very glad to have received this item. I've also been on the look out for a tape dispenser for while, because I am not a fan of handling sellotape (obsessive compulsive disorder problems >.<) and using one will mean that I won't have to touch the sticky side of the tape much. What I like most about this item is the simplicity of the design; that's why I love Pusheen so much in general because the illustration/design of her character is very simple and that's just something I find appealing. There's no busy elements to distract away from this sweet little grey tabby cat. Another thing that I think is great about this tape dispenser is it's size. Most of the tape dispensers I've had when I was younger were mini ones that only fit in something the size of a roll of washi tape. This one looks like it will fit a full size sellotape in it.

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

Here's a close up of the gorgeous pouch, because I wanted to show you guys the pretty pusheen zip charm (or whatever they are called)! Even though gold is not really my thing, I can't deny that it goes so well with the pink, gold and grey, and these three colours are very popular at the moment. You can't browse through Pinterest without spotting some homeware or stationery in this colour combo, and that's because they look so lovely together! Something that I like about this pencil pouch is that it's colour is something a little bit different compared to the overall aqua/turquoise colour scheme of the rest of the box. I mean, I know that gold is also very prominent throughout the contents, but pink isn't and I like the variety :) Colours aside, I love this item! I am always in need of cases like these to store stationery or make-up bits in, and the shape and length of this Pusheen pouch makes me think it would be great for make-up brushes. What would you use it for? Oh, and I like that the zip doesn't just run along the top of the pouch, but also a little down one side which makes it easier to get things in and out of it.

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

JUST LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS LETTER SET IS!? I literally squeeeeed when I spotted this item whilst unboxing my Spring Pusheen Box! I love love love it!! There have been so many items in this box that have been perfect for my particular hobbies and interests, and here is another one. I am a snail-mailer, a penpal, a lover of letter writing, of receiving and sending post, and as a result, of pretty letter paper!! I think this set is just gorgeous, everything from the designs of the paper, to the lovely pastel shades of the envelopes, plus the most adorable sticker seals ever! It's so tough to choose which of the letter sheets I prefer, but oh my gosh, do I love that bunting one! The only downside to this item, well not a downside really, but I wish it was bigger. It's a mini letter set, which is fine but I prefer A5-ish sized paper because I write a lot and my hand-writing isn't as neat and small as I wish it was! I wish there was more of each sheet & envelope too because I almost don't want to use this letter set, and if there was more I could be persuaded to give away some in my snailmail.

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

Seriously, how sweet are these little gold Pusheens!? The item above is just listed as 'Pusheen clips' on the little information postcard that you get inside your box. What it actually is, is a sort of chain banner along which are all of these pusheen clips, that you can use to hang up photographs or whatever else you want display on the wall. As adorable as this item is, it's not actually something that I can see myself using. I'm much more a fan of the rope photo banner thingies. The annoying thing about this item is what the clips make it quite weighty so it's not something that you are going to be able to attach to the wall with tape or blue-tac. There is a metal ring at either end of the chain that you can hang up on a little nail/hook. Another annoying thing is that my item actually arrived broken! When I attempted to take it off the card you can see above, I found that the other end of the chain with the hoop on the end was unattached :( Luckily because it's made of chain, I could use some pliers to re-attach the links, which is good because I'm probably going to give this to a friend :)

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

I know I'm freakin' out about every item in this box guys, hahaha... but LOOK. AT. IT!!! I am in love with this design! How flippin' cute is Pusheen though!? I can't stop AWWWW'ing aloud whenever I look at this blanket!! Looking at the photo above is actually making it fairly tough to concentrate on writing now XD So what do I love about this item: everything. I love the pastel colours, I love huge Pusheen, I love that the design chosen matches the theme of the box with the celebratory balloons, I love the main colour of the blanket (I am such a fan of this colour!), but most of all, I love how soft the material is. It feels amazing, oh and it's awesome that this blanket is thin so it's perfect for all year round! I don't hate the grid pattern on this blanket but I personally think the design would look better without it. How about you? Are you a fan of grid patterns? It just reminds me of Maths at school, and omg I suck at that! All in all though, it's a 10/10 for me on this throw blanket!

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

Please ignore the delightful scars on my right foot... this is what happens when you are clumsy and you walk around with bare feet 90% of your life, oops! Annoying unphotogenic foot aside, these slippers are super cute! Unfortunately, I personally have really never liked this style of slipper, that you just slip your foot into (well obviously :D). I trip over my feet all of the time, so I prefer a slipper that isn't going to make it even easier for me to do this, when they're slipping on and off my feet whenever I walk. Also to make the slippers cater for several shoe sizes, Pusheen Box has opted to offer size ranges, rather than individual sizes, if that makes sense. So these are a Small and they fit any size from a 4-6 or something like that, and I've found that they are actually too big for my feet. I'm never going to use them, so if any of my friends reading this want them, please let me know :) Still, they are a great quality item and the material inside them is cosy. I love that they have included little ears in the design too!

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

Okay, I'm really sad about this item, and to be honest, it is one of the reasons I didn't immediately blog all about this box when I first received my Spring edition Pusheen Box. You can't really tell on this photo, but I've taken a close up to show you after I've explained! Basically, my water bottle arrived with a huge scratch through the design, so that obviously ruins it :( I cannot tell if this was product of the bottle moving around inside the box during transport, but in my opinion, this wasn't really possible because of how packed in everything was, there wasn't much room for the items to move around really, albeit there was a little more free space than there usually is. But I seriously think that someone packed the item into my box without having quality-checked it first, and that is really not on, especially when you are paying a lot for the subscription! I was absolutely gutted about this damage, because this item would have literally been my joint favourite item, along with the letter set. I just adore it so much! :( I love the colour, the design, the shape, the patterns on the balloons, the little gold bow tied around Pusheen, the fact that it's made of stainless steel. Ugh, I'm so disappointed.

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

It's hard to see the scratches clearly because of how bright the room was when I was taking my photos, but you can see it enough :( Although it's not a huge scratch and I can still use the item, it's just not acceptable to receive items like this. I emailed CultureFly about getting a replacement item, but they told me that there were none left in their warehouse, and it's silly to me that a company wouldn't make a few extras to deal with these sorts of problems. However they did offer me a $7 refund, which I think is pretty low for the quality of this item, which I could see being sold for anything between £15-20, but taking into account that it was part of a subscription box, I guess I'm happy that I got some sort of refund. I'm still going to use this item because the scratch is only noticeable close up and I'm not going to waste such an adorable bottle, that's perfect for keeping drinks cold in the hot months. I hope this sort of thing doesn't happen again because up until this point, Pusheen Box have been spot on with their quality and packaging, and I've never had a damaged item before this box, where I suddenly get two 'faulty' items!!

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

I'm always impressed how Pusheen Box keep coming up with new and unique ideas for their box themes, and especially for the designs of their matching vinyl figures. Every box comes with a figure, and as a toy/figure collector, I am a big fan! This time, they have gone for a celebratory themed figure, complete with balloons to fit in with the design of the other items in the box. It is giving me birthday vibes, and I totally wish that I'd have shared this post before my birthday so that I could have used this figure in my social media posts! My favourite feature of this figure is the super colourful balloons. I like that they are so bright and eye-catching, and it just makes the figure very cheerful to look at. I do like the pink base, but then again, I think it would have been better for them to go with another colour since there's already a pink balloon, and more colours are always better! I also wish that the 'strings' of the balloons weren't covering Pusheen's eye because it bugs me a little whenever I notice it. Anyway, this is another fantastic figure and can't wait to display it on a shelf along with the ones I've gotten in my previous boxes. So cute!

Pusheen Box Spring 2018

So that was the Spring 2018 Pusheen Box! It was another fabulous box and it's always a delight to receive, despite having to pay customs fees each time T_T *cry cry*. Each edition comes with the most lovely items, that are always useful and very much tailored for adults, which is great! Even though I got a few damages inside my box this month, I would still recommend it to anyone who loves cats or just cute things in general! I think the box has something to suit every taste, and I can't imagine anyone who is a lover of adorable things being unhappy with it's contents. My favourite thing about the Pusheen Box is the colour schemes and how, for the most part, the items are designed in pastel shades. I'd love to hear all about what you guys think of the items in this box in the comments :) I'll also be sharing my Summer Pusheen Box later this month, so keep a look out for that. Apologies again that it's taken me so long!

Thankyou for reading!
