My Little Christmas Market Haul | Blogmas #14

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a fabulous week, what have you been up to? Have you bought any nice Christmas presents for your loved ones, or even for yourself (remember to treat yourselves too guys!), this week? I'd love to hear all about it in the comments :) If you caught my post yesterday for Blogmas Day 13, you'll know that I spent the afternoon/early evening in Manchester with my mom. The purpose of our trip was to visit the Christmas Markets, and also to have a good old shop in the Arndale shopping centre whilst we were there! So, as a sequel to my Manchester Christmas Markets photo diary, I thought I'd show you all what I bought there too. Everyone loves a good haul post, right? Enjoy!

Manchester Christmas Markets Haul

One of the objectives of my trip to Manchester was to get some Christmas presents for my friends and family, and so I won't be showing most of them on my post today. However, I did pick up a few festive bits and bobs from around the German Christmas Markets themselves, as well as some items from other stores that are not really Christmassy but I'm gonna show you anyway! I am really happy that I managed to go to the markets this year since everyone is super busy right now and I wasn't sure if I would be able to go! I've managed to tick off yet another activity from my countdown to Christmas checklist now, which I'm delighted about too :) I am feeling great that my designated Christmas present drawers in my bedroom are starting to get really full! So without further ado, here's what I spent my pennies on yesterday...

Well, since I chose to use this really delicious-looking fudge for today's main photograph, it only seemed right to talk about it first! Doesn't it just look so scrumptious!? This is why I just couldn't resist buying some, even though it was pretty pricey. The cost was based on weight and because each piece is a heavy little chunk, I got four pieces for just under £5. It is definitely a nice treat though, and I just couldn't not get any when there were so many flavours on offer! The Christmas Markets at Manchester, and I'm sure everywhere else also, are filled with stalls selling an array of yummy treats, most of them sweet ones and they are all super tempting! If you have a sweet tooth like me, you will find it a challenge to decide which ones you want the most, haha! The flavours I picked from Laura's Confectionery Fudge Shop were caramel, chocolate marshmallow, chocolate orange, and one I can't remember but I think it was Oreo flavoured! I also got a discount with my receipt to use online too! I cannot wait to try them later on tonight when I'm catching up with the last few episodes of The Walking Dead :) Are you a fan of fudge? Have you ever had a fancy flavour?

So, here is the rest of my purchases from the Christmas Market! As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I am a big fan of wooden handmade and/or hand-painted decorations. I just absolutely love the traditional rustic festive aesthetic, so I love how many of them are made from a piece of wood that still has bark on it! I found an brilliant offer yesterday which got me 3 of them for £5! As well as the wooden decorations, I also bought an adorable little red penguin decoration, handmade from felt, as a gift for one of my penpals and I definitely wish that I'd bought one for myself too now! It's great quality, so well-made, and just super cute.

Everytime I go to one of my favourite stalls at the Manchester Christmas Markets, which sells a variety of traditional European ornaments, including bright glass candle holders with the prettiest yuletide scenes painted on them, so many gorgeous wooden nutcrackers, and my favourite of all, beautiful and colourful Russian dolls. I didn't buy one yet again, even though every year I tell myself I'm going to! I decided to wait until next year when my bedroom decorating is all completed and thus I have somewhere to display the doll. As an alternative, I got myself a little Russian doll keyring there instead.

My final Christmassy buy of the day was my official Christmas Market mug; I really loved the design this year! I was a little worried that I wouldn't this year, and when I spotted people drinking their mulled wine from official mugs that were black/dark blue, I was a little gutted thinking that was the only design for the year. But then I saw a poster displayed on the side of one of the wooden stalls showcasing the hot chocolate/coffee/etc., mug and I was so happy that it was bright and cute! On the other side of the mug that you can't see on my photograph, there's a very cheerful Santa Clause. You can buy these with a hot drink, or individually for £2.50... which is what I did before heading to the train station to go home :)

I am really pleased with my purchases from the markets, they are all so pretty! Two of the three wooden tree ornaments/decorations were bought as Christmas gifts, as I already have a beautiful decoration in the same style from a previous visit to Manchester at Christmas Time. The fir tree shaped one with the reindeer on is for me though, and will be going on the tree I'm putting up in my bedroom over the weekend :) What's your favourite type of tree decoration? Keep scrolling to see what else I bought from Manchester...

So, I also did a little shopping at Primark, Paperchase & Lush, two of which we don't have in my hometown shopping centre and our Primark is pretty small compared to Manchester's huge multi-storey one! I took advantage of this and got quite a few Christmas gifts from Primark, which has such fabulous items in at the moment! I almost spent half of my budget for the day in there alone, oops! There are so many amazing Pusheen products, and I could have cried because I couldn't buy them all... but I did treat myself to some of these adorable slipper sock thingies. They are really really soft and I love the colour too! As usual though, Primark was seriously rejecting it's Ravenclaw customers with a lack of house merchandise. I was very happy to find this makeup case though and snapped it up with no hesitation!

I finally got myself one of the Metamorphosis bathbombs from Lush, and I am so looking forward to trying it out! I will more than likely blog about it too so look out for that in the New Year! The last store that I was visited was Paperchase. I was planning to just get myself a new multi-sections notebook, but as usual I am an absolute sucker for stationery and so this is what I came out of the shop with, haha! Aren't their postcards just so wonderful though!? That is my entire haul from my adventures in Manchester yesterday. I hope that you enjoyed reading. Just ask if you wanna know the price of everything :)

Thankyou for reading!

Have a lovely weekend guys!
