A-Z of Halloween Costume Ideas | Blogtober

Hello lovelies! I can't believe it's only nine days until Halloween! Nine days!?? This month has gone by so fast! With Halloween fast approaching, I thought I'd help everyone out who hasn't got a clue what they want to dress up as for that Halloween party or event, or you can even just dress up to answer the door to trick-or-treaters, maybe you have children, younger siblings or nieces and nephews to actually go trick-or-treating with... there's never a reason not get dressed up on Halloween! For Blogtober Day 21, here's an A-Z list of costume ideas! Enjoy!

Halloween Costume Ideas


A- Alien, American Horror Story Characters (there's literally so many fantastic spooky characters to choose from, e.g. Twisty the Clown, Moira O'Hara the Maid, Hypodermic Sally, Elsa Mares, the Leatherman (Tate)), Angel of Death, Akasha (Queen of the Damned).
B- Beetlejuice/Betelgeuse, Bat, Banshee, Blade (Eric Brooks, the daywalker from Blade (1998).
C- Cheerleader (a zombie/undead version), Chucky, Creeper (from the movie, Jeepers Creepers (2001)), Children of the Damned, Cat (a witches cat), Carry, Corpse Bride, Cruella Deville, Cousin It, The Crow, Captain Spaulding (from Rob Zombie's horror movies, House of 1000 Corpses & The Devils Reject's).
D- Demon, Devil, evil Doctor, Demogorgon
E- Exorcist (Regan MacNeil), evil Elf, Emily the Strange, Elvira, Edgar Allen Poe, Edward Scissorhands. 


F- Frankenstein (both the Dr Victor & the Creature), Freddy Krueger, evil Fairy, Faun (such as Fauno from Pan's Labyrinth).
G- Ghost, Ghoul, The Grudge, Goblin, Goldlilocks (maybe she got killed by the bears and is an undead/zombie), Gomez Addams, Gremlins.
H- Hag, Hannibal Lecter, Hatchet Man (Victor Crowley from the movie Hatchet (2006), Hororr Hunter/Huntress.
I- Insect, Incubus.
J- Jack Skellington, Jigsaw, Jason Voorhees, Jekyll & Hyde (maybe do a half and half face), Jester/Joker, evil Jack or Jill, Jack Frost, Jack Torrance from The Shining. 


K- Killer, King, Kraken.
L- Lady in White, Living Dead Doll, Leather Face, Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice.
M- Maniac (or Wednesday Addams as a 'Homicidal Maniac), Mummy, Mermaid, Morticia Addams, Michael Myers, Monster.
N- Nosferatu, Necromancer (witches, wizards, enchantress, etc.), evil Nurse. 
O- Otis B. Driftwood (also from Rob Zombie's horror movies), Ofelia (from Pan's Labyrinth), you could even dress as a Ouija Board, haha (I've spotted dresses online).



P- Pinhead (from Hellraiser), Pirate, Pennywise the Clown (from Stephen King's It), evil Preacher (like Issac from Children of the Corn), the Phantom, Professor Quirrell (from Harry Potter), the Pale Man (from Pan's Labyrinth), Pumpkinhead, Pugsley Addams, Plague Doctor.
Q- I can literally only think of a Queen
R- Robot, Reaper (Grim Reaper), Red Riding Hood (undead/zombie version), Ramsay from Game of Thrones, Rag Doll, a Ringwraith from Lord of the Rings.
S- Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, the Swamp Thing, Skeleton, Scream, Student (zombie/undead), Scarecrow, Salad Fingers.
T- Tiger, Tiffany aka Chucky's Bride, you & a friend could dress up as the Twins from The Shining. 

U- Ursula the Sea Witch, an Undertaker, Uncle Fester.
V- Vampire, Voldemort, V for Vendetta, Venom, Viserys Targaryen with his golden crown, Voodoo Doll, Venetian Masquerade, Victorian Maid, undead/zombie Viking, Ventriloquist's Dummy. 
W- Werewolf, Walker (a zombie in the style of those from The Walking Dead series).
X- a blood-covered Xena the Warrior Princess, one of the X-men characters.
Y- Yeti, undead/zombie Yodeler
Z- and finally, Zombies! Any costume idea you have can be made halloweeny by transforming it into a zombie version.

  1. Salad Fingers! Haha, that's too creepy, even for Halloween ;) I will likely not be dressing up for Halloween, it's just not my thing unless I'm going to a party or something (which I'm not!). Oh well!
